I'm not sure what the devs could do with this because there is a couple of things missing here and there.

I Doubt it.Platform Specific files would be missing.Anyway,Why not wait a few days for an official release?

back at google I/O people got JB either from the nexus or from the N7 and there were flashable ROM's before source dropped...so it is possible i think. but it probably wont be complete or very stable.
Also just to throw in, you can download all the system apps from that link

No, it really isn't.
Installing TWRP 2.5 bricked my Nexus 7!! PLEASE DONT INSTALL TWRP 2.5 ON YOUR NEXUS 7, IT WILL SURLY BRICK THE MOTHER ****ER GOD DAmit! my key board is so fed up right now its not even funny, from all the frustration from my nexus 7 being so fed up from TWRP 2.5!!!!!!! BEWARE!!!!!
Than go in to the Bootloader or fastboot push cwm recovery from your PC. And your nexus will be back in working condition.

TWRP 2.5 works just fine for me. Like above said, fastboot flash CWM.

Would you care to elaborate on what you mean by 'brick'... and please attenuate you're inarticulate rage; it helps nobody.
Facts, details and specificity would be more useful.
-----
I have been running TWRP 2.5.0.0 since the 10th of April....., during which time I have performed many NANDROID backups and restores..., as well as flashed various ROMs and Kernels... without any problems at all.
Rgrds,
Ged.
2.5.0.0 is working fine for me.. No probs.
User error. Do as the others have said.

You mean if you don't know how to read and follow instructions don't install twrp. I've installed every version just fine. Jhheezzee

lol...works fine here, too.
I never encountered any problem with TWRP. Flashed many roms, kernels; I made many backups and restored them. You obviously did something wrong. But what? Can you still get in bootloader mode? What version did you flash? How did you flash it? So little information...
Um.... TWRP works great. The only way you could brick is if you tried to flash it onto the bootloader partition.

Running twrp 2.5 multirom on my N7, Twrp 2.5 on my HTC Evo Shift, and guess what? Twrp 2.5 on my HP Touchpad.
No issues here.

I think you'll find the problem is between the chair and the keyboard.
it's a good thing you made this thread OP, the only one of it's kind warning us against twrp 2.5. all of us who don't have problem with 2.5 are clearly living in the matrix where our imaginations are taking over.

I'm inclined to agree... it's running out of control, going nowhere and has no practical value...
I'm also uncomfortable with the general direction this thread is going in...
This thread should be closed, IMHO.
Rgrds,
Ged.
Thread closed.
I myself have never had any issues with TWRP, and personal issues with a recovery is no means to start a thread on the matter, however if you are having issues and would like help perhaps post in the Q&A section about your issue (providing as much information on whats happened and what you did as possible)
Thank you
Has anyone found a solution yet or can it be achieved on the Nexus 7, tried numerous browsers without success, don't wanna have to keep restoring a 4.2.2 nandroid backup when I wanna watch football online.

How long do you think that's going to take? What about other ROMs?
This fact has been already Discussed. One such thread is Call Google for Android N on Nexus 5
Even if Official Android N is not available, there are alternatives as mentioned by others.
Thread Closed.
