Yes, you can recover deleted files from Samsung Galaxy phone, see this Samsung galaxy data recovery guide.

There are some things you can do:
-reflash ROM
-flash another baseband with odin and then flash cm7.
Also check if you are using cwm recovery and you are rooted.

and before that made the wipes, that solucionate lot of errors
