its a modified SystemUI.apk that i changed to say "H" to "4G" and changes the "3G" notification to look a bit more sleek
"4G" Style: Download
To Install (for now)
Code:
mount system as r/w and
adb push SystemUI.apk /system/app/
Ill post a flashable zip later
I might add an EDGE and GPRS mod too, but they seem low priority

Question.
Will this work on AOKP or just Sense ROMs?

Only on Sense roms. You can, however, extract the pngs and use them on AOKP if you edit its apk yourself.
It looks very nice.Thx so much.

The funny thing about this is it looks like google has copied a theme from the community with gingerbread. Nice work man.

Some new blurry pics have started to show. Maybe this will help you keep updated on the icons
just tried out this theme it's pretty cool hopefully when "non blurry" screenshots are released we can perfect this!
also just an IMO the green is a little too bright? lol
Thanks Legion.

I have some questions on the getting the framework to work. I notice there are other framework-res apks in the system/framework folder when i use root explorer. Do i over ride these or do i just drop the apk in. And when you set permissions in root explorer do you want all the boxes checked. much appreciated.
yes, you paste this into /system/framework OVERWRITING the existing Framework-res.apk.
Permissions should look as follows:
{
"lightbox_close": "Close",
"lightbox_next": "Next",

"lightbox_error": "The requested content cannot be loaded. Please try again later.",

}
ugh.. black and neon green is so 'terminal'.
Looks nice in the photos though, but it would drive me crazy.

no clue what nameless ROM is but Im guessing its Sense based? signal icons are in htc.resources.apk but the exact name slips my mind for the 6 signals.

its not a sense based rom, but theme is sense like. the rom is for the lg optimus v froyo, here's the link to the rom:http://forum.androidcentral.com/opt...ks/79619-rom-nameless-rom-v1-4-26-2011-a.html
i changed the stat_sys_signal files in framework-res
I looked in that ROMs framework and didnt see those signal bars so they must be hiding somewhere else.

i found out that its in:
lge-res.apk
res/drawable/
icon_rssi_bars0.pro
to
icon_rssi_bars6.pro
but i dont know what to do from there???
After renaming the icons, make new folders in your morph:
lge-res/res/drawable/*put icons here*
Then add this text to your .xml file:
<item>lge-res.apk</item>
<path>/system/app/</path>
I couldn't download the rom, so not sure if the path is correct. If it isn't in the /system/app/ folder, correct that.
I love the new blur dock & icons someone has the icons and dock?

How can we unzip this file? I keep trying but it's being weird about it.
[QUOTE=Original Android
Are you trying to unzip on your phone or computer?
Sent from my Nexus S using XDA App
Both. Neither work.
On my PC the zip wouldn't open with windows native zip support but 7zip had no problems.
HTH
Smjfosho did it on perpiss!
That's weird, all I did was extract it.

Installing to Droid 2 Global
So now that we have the system dumb and the extracted files. How do we install this version of Blur on other phones? I do apologize if this is obvious.

Droid 3 browser icon
Could someone share the browser icon for the droid 3? I thought I would ask before I downloaded the zip just for one icon. Thanks.
I am trying to theme the lockscreen. I have only found one folder with the icons for the rings. Am I missing something here? When I flash the .zip they show in the framework-res.apk, but they aren't showing up in the lockscreen. I am on a Nexus S 4G. I thought I would see these in the drawable-HDPI folder, but the old lockscreen tabs are there. I will post what I have so far. Thanks.

are you trying within the phone? maybe something is going wrong with this procedure, try flashing a modded framework apk.
You need to decompile framework-res.apk and the pngs are in /res/drawable-hdpi
You wanna change these right?

I am using the framework from Pete's ROM. I pulled it out of the .zip on my PC. Extracted the .apk with .apk manager. Replaced the .PNG files, zipped, signed. I've tried pushing through Root Explorer, and made a .zip for flashing. Neither have taken. Although I can see them in the folder in system directory. Perhaps I am theming the wrong ones? I haven't seen any others digging through the apk.

can you elaborate man?i'm interested for manhattan rom...
I have been using CM9 for a while now and I love the dark Halo theme of ICS. I however don't care for the light theme in the messaging app. So I took a crack at changing it. This is my first attempt at theming an app. I'm pretty sure I got most everything, but if I didn't, let me know. On to the screens:
{
"lightbox_close": "Close",
"lightbox_next": "Next",
"lightbox_previous": "Previous",
"lightbox_error": "The requested content cannot be loaded. Please try again later.",
"lightbox_start_slideshow": "Start slideshow",

"lightbox_download": "Download",
"lightbox_share": "Share",
"lightbox_zoom": "Zoom",
"lightbox_new_window": "New window",
"lightbox_toggle_sidebar": "Toggle sidebar"
}
How to install:
*Make sure you backup and remove any messaging app from /system/app/ as this will replace it.
adb:
Code:
adb push Mms.apk /system/app/
adb shell chmod 0644 /system/app/Mms.apk
adb reboot
Or just move with a file explorer, just make sure to change permissions!
I have only tested this on my EVO 3D, but it should work for any device with 4.0+ SENSE, or AOSP.
*Download:
AOSP_Dark_Mms.apk 1.96 MB
Is this based on cm9 mms? Looks great. Could you make one of the latest cm9 mms and change background to black? Better for samoled and looks great.
