Was wondering how to do this?
I know how to flash clockwork and make a nandroid...
but is it possible to save it as a one file zip? That would be easier to
copy to my ext sd in case I want to reformat the internal one.
Quick question... I897 with KB1 + voodoo lagfix kernel. Just did my first nandroid backup and it completed... however, it flashed some errors about accessing apps on external sdcard. This was from CWM RED (v2.5.1.3). I do have some of my larger apps stored on external SD (and all work just as fast as if they were on internal sd). Was I supposed to move these back to internal SD before doing nandroid? Does a nandroid backup just backup the internal sd? Thx gang.
Typically nandroid through CWM creates the image from shall we say the local or main portion of you devices memory.
Suggestion - If you are space deprived on the internal SD, copy the APKs to you desktop (for the image backup) and delete them from your device for now. They can always be copied back to your int SD or ext Sd. This won't remove, delete or uninstall the application itself, but rather enhance space.
Another suggestion is to create an initial backup prior to the CWM nandroid backup with Titanium Backup first, then copy and store that backup, with all your apps) safely on a PC.
Hope this helps...
Peace-

efs backup is not required for installing cm7
if you have an operator specific phone then you will need the backup else you don't need
Is it possible to make a Nandroid Backup without backing up the current ROM? If yes how?
I'm using CWM Recovery
Thanks for your answers in advance
What are you backing up if you don't want to backup the current rom?
Apps, datas, Pics, music, etc
Advanced backup and backup data only. However actual files on SDCard will not be backed up.. so you will have to copy them over out of the phone manually.
Hey Rox,
I just want to ask you - when i try to make beckup with cwm recovery - it's starts making it, after backing up data (i think) show massage that ".android_secure" folder is not found and......... The point is that i make the backup in /sdcard. With Root Explorer i found that folder which is in : mnt/media_rw/extSdcard. And after that massage continues backing up md5 and finally backup successful.
Is it a problem and should this bother me and can i copy or move this folder is in the internal memory not in external
Please help me solve this problem
