Hi all,
I'd like to introduce this very very small mod.
This Mod was inspired by madd0g
About This MOD::
e.g. When you use Search key in Browser.apk, [just example!! This works in all apps-behave like ICS roms..]
"Google Search" popups. However, If you install this mod, the URL Box opens like ICS ROM.(in app search function)
+If you long-press search button, Google Voice search popups.
Flash this via Cwm, and enjoy.
##don't use this mod in cyanogenmod!(Maybe this is useless, already includes key-remapping setting in Latest CM rom)
Good for jellybelly, stock, androxide, rasbeanjelly...
Moved
Awesome. But it would be even better to make it call search globally (ie Market and in all apps) and call google now (voice search) on long press.
Wow awesome..now it behaves exactly like i wanted. Google Now when you're on the home screen and when you're in apps it searches in them. Perfect..thanks a lot!

Can someone make proper names of this mod?
Edit: I'll stick with this name.

The point would be that, instead of having this mod enabled for browsing but for any app.
I mean: Any open app, you press "search" it opens the search box. You are in the same app and you long press "search", then google now opens.
Yeah, a lot of apps have a search feature, not only the Browser. Not sure if this mod can be made universal to make work with all apps or not, but that's what I would like to see!
Especially the Play Store.
I don't even use the default Browser anymore, Chrome.
Oh...I said e.g. for browser!

Thanks to brucekey in rootzwiki
(this mod is based on his WEBAOKP mod.)
Great job! I'd love the panel bg to be black or slightly transparent, but since it looks like it's just XML stuff I can modify myself. Thanks again for another great mod
This is amazing! Any chance of getting this ported to the GSM Galaxy Nexus?
EDIT: Sorry just found this post. Can't wait to try this on the Galaxy Nexus once the guide has been released
Nice
Edit : I have one question, how do I close the apps from it?

So it is basically like the horizontal recent windows task switcher in AOSP? At least you don't have to male this MOD for the AOSP and AOKP ROMs haha
Nexus S (GSM i9020a)
AOKP (Milestone 4)
Air Kernel (3.45)
OC 800/100 (Lionheart)
Live OC (100 - Noop)
v6 Supercharged
awesome mod I wish you would've made one for aokp m4
guide is done
little sad because this thread got lowest rating as soon as i post this.....
(and then someone give 5 stars so now rating is 3.00..)
maybe it looks not good for his eyes but at least i think this thread is not that looks insincere or worthless...
anyway, guide is done : [HOWTO] Change ICS App Switcher to Windows Phone 7 Style

yes. this mod is based on WEBAOKP mod by brucekey. so basically same to that except these things :
- thumbnail : higher resolution, bigger, proper ratio(to have full screen view without distort)
- remove app icon and fading edge.
- background color
- adjust landscape layout to make look better.
i did some trial and error to get current layout. and i think the result is far more similar to wp7 than original WEBAOKP mod. regardless of personal taste..
but if it looks nearly the same as original one so you can barely find any difference, i'm sorry about that.
check pm please

Is there an MIUI (V4*****) theme out there that actually gets rid of the stock orange colors of MIUI? I'm tired of having everything themed then the SMS, settings, and tiny framework things here and there mess that up...

I'm running 2.5.25, ANY theme I try will NOT affect the settings app (it will still be white + orange), many tiny things in the framework (toggling, typing indicator, toggle switches will be orange), and the default screen of the SMS app will be white + orange. Will the themes in that link fix those issues and actually work fully with my version?
Edit: I've actually already tried those ones. They don't fix the errors, and those themes support 2.6 something, the upgrade of shat I have. I don't want to upgrade because then I loose the on-screen controls oodie made and I loose the custom DPI (including the custom Play Store, etc to match it).

not from official market error? still able to install?
Dammit! This is the exact theme I've been searching for for my Galaxy S3. It's why I rooted and installed IMUI. It is so perfect!
But when I try to apply it, I receive an error message and am not allowed to install it.
It says" This theme is not downloaded from official market. Please download similar ones from official market."
What the hey?
Is there a way to install this awesome theme anyway?
Thanks very much

Love the rom so far. I did have to use justun bean for 4.2 to get everything inverted, but no real issue. Nice and smooth. Nice work Tim.
Well, looks like something else I am going to have to try .. will let you know bugs and all that I find Tim .. thanks.
One thing that might be a pain is getting the new bluetooth stack to work with our bluetooth hardware .. that is going to be a tricky one. I thought I had it at one point, but then the phone started bugging out, so I went back to square one and now can't get it to build.. LOL .. gotta love Linux some times huh>?
Really stoked about how much love this device is getting. Flashing now, will report any bugs. Thanks!
Re: [ROM]UNOFFICAL][4.2.2 JDQ39] Baked Black Bean 8 [WIP]
3rd party camera apps were not working correctly. I flashed my camerahal ( the one that camcory posted in op's ) and low and behold they all work again. I would either post the camerahal to op or incorporate that lib camera.so file in with your build. Just a thought Tim. Thanks for the ROM. Great work.

It does the same thing as the newest 4.2.2 Rootbox.
Re: [ROM]UNOFFICAL][4.2.2 JDQ39] Baked Black Bean 8 [WIP]
If you click turn on, to actually have it work you need to reboot the device. Root box is the same. But its working in Smartguy's CM10.1 a small annoyance. But it does work.

Slippery_Sloth Q&A Plus Additional Notes
Q) Does my phone need to be unlocked?
A) Yes, with a custom recovery
Q) What does this do to my phone?
A) It will make it sneaky, sly and slippery smooth. Much like the wonderous*Sloth.
Additional Notes and Thanks
All the features found in this Rom can be controlled through the Slothy.conf script found in /system/etc. All you need to is change the default integer's to whatever you like.
Everything in the script is labeled so its easy to read and easy to understand.*
I hope you will all find this easy and user friendly.
Please refrain from using apps like trickster, the settings will not stick, and could ultimately do more harm then good. I have a special script to control the kernels CPU frequency during different times (either awake, or sleeping). So when the phone is awake, your frequency will be the max possible by the kernel (wich is only slightly OC'd to 189) and when the phone sleeps that max frequency will go down. In other words the scripts I have provided with the kernel will give you the best possible mix of battery and performance.
I would also like to take this space to say that this would not have been possible without many great kernel devs before me. So from me to you, thanks.*
If anyone would like to get in on this project with me, please send me a PM.

Running pretty smooth for me... Just using default settings so far. Will update battery life in a couple days.
Only thing I have noticed is after a reboot kernel settings won't stay even using app like trickster mod not a big deal
