Root Samsung galaxy mini 2 GT-S6500 - Samsung Galaxy Mini

Hello, I have a samsung galaxy mini 2 GT-S6500, and this is my first android phone. So this is my first rooting! I found on this forum a long thread (more than 11 pages) on rooting this phone and the GT-S6500D (what's the difference of that "D"?), but I have to admit that i couldn't understand everything!
Could someone give me a short and simple guide to root my GT-S6500 in the simpliest way?
And I wish this method to be 100% working, not to delete anything on the phone or the sim, and not to install other roms (official or custon) on my phone: I just want my phone (and all it has now), with root permissions.
Thanks a lot!

here see 2nd method noob friendly

The difference between the GT-S6500 and the GT-S6500D is probably the presence of NFC.
I think GT-S6500 supports NFC and GT-S6500D doesn´t.
Beside the method from mb-14, you could also take a look at squadzones method:

OK, thank you, BUT:
- what is recovery and why it is the one of s7500 and not 6500?
- is this method going to delete files, apps , messages or anything? Will my phone be exactly the same (obviously with dhe difference of ROOT permissions)?
- Is it 100% working and, most of all, SAFE?
And... Can I backup the whole ROM before I root the phone so that If something goes wrong...

You can't make a full backup of your rom (nandroid) before rooting. Rooting doesn't remove any files. If you follow the guide you should be fine.
It says s7500 becausr the cwm was ported from the s7500 it only says s7500, it works perfectly on our device

Ok, thank you!
The last thing before I try to root my phone: is there a method to unroot? Because rooting means that I loose all my warranty...

the only method i know for now is to use a usb jig but i dont know if it will work on mini 2
it is meant for sgs2 and works on some more devices,,,

I noticed that here (http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1768622) squadzone gives a CWM called Jena wich it is said to be the s6500 one. Is it better than the one in the "2nd noobfriendly method"? What's the difference? May I use squadzone's CWM with the "2nd noobfriendly method"?

SOC1.9.5. Like Noejn said I also didn't noticed any difference. The only thing I see since v10b is LG making new versions just to make most people happy with new releases nothing more.

First and most important thing is to do Factory Reset via Hidden Menu 3845#*970#. This will un-root your phone and clear all data. Then do a firmware upgrade and after that again Factory Reset. This is the safest method.

The factory reset doesn't un-root the phone. The "called" root moves both superuser.apk and su binary to the respective folders so if you do a factory reset they will not be deleted.. To un-root you need to do it with the application you used to root the phone or flash firmware.

[Q] cant turn on my galaxy ace without connecting charger

iam using galaxy ace.. now charger is
needed to switch on my mobile.. now iam
using by this method connect the charger
and switch on my phone. . when i tried
without connecting charge i cant turn on
my mobile. yesterday i insalled cwm
v5.0.0.26 so wat was the problem? how to solve this?. friends
help me please..
Wel i think CWM can't be the cause. If it could be the cause, the phone shouldn't be turned on anyway. It's weird it switches on with charger but not otherwise.
Maybe there is a problem with the battery..

Exactly. Or may be an internal circuit problem. Make sure it gets checked by samsung officials
is the battery charged ?
Try to conect and flash a rom or a diferent kernel, some problems come whit a bad kernel or delete battery stats in recovery advanced,or is a internal problem whit a solded piece

Binary Counter is a feature that accuses the device that you made modifications to it, serves to identify the service that you've been changing the operating system of your device. Every change you make, it adds 1 more at the counter. For you see how your binary counter this, just go into Download mode on your device that appears ... okay

If you have a computer, just download a stock and connect the phone to the computer with a USB, and odin program.
You can have many simple stocks just to return back the phone. This is how I do it when I lose my ROM.
Just search in here, and you will find the files: cooper, csc, and code with a program to flash the phone.
Read here:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2283926
Hope this helps.
I have had the same problem. What you have done is corrupted the bootloader. The only SAFE way to fix is to send it to samsung service for repair. FYI you cannot fix it through odin. Riff JTAG is a option but it requires a professional to do it. So I suggest you send it in for repair.
