try to see your code HH 11w-->> it camw unlock,,, but if 11w29<<11wxx it can buddy,,,
if your HH brick,, try to repair with pc companion. it solve your phone.

Check the date at the back. 11w28 and below means you can unlock bootloader. Unfortunately i think the bricked x8 is 11w29+ and you have a hard brick. If that's the case then you need to send it to SE for repair.

Oh man... try charging for a few minutes. If that doesn't work (no vibrate, led, etc) then it's a hard brick.. if that's the case bring to Sony Service center...

The only differences in specs are:
- W8 has a bit better speakers than X8!
- W8 has Walkman app! (It's gonna be gone anyway after you installed Android 2.2 and above)

-Install sony companion first on computer..
And turn your phone in debugging mode,,plug your phone with the computer..
(wait until the tray icon said the driver install successfully)
-unplug the device from computer
-open superoneclick click root
-when a message "waiting for device" appeared,,plug device then choose recharge
-after this mesage appeared
(Your phone has been rooted!!

What's your setup? How long have you had this issue and when did it start?
If you're on a custom rom or kernel, i suggest repairing it with pcc and check if you still experience the issue.

well, i suggest you make a backup first. then try repairing using pcc and go back to stock rom. hopefully, you won't experience it after that.
if that works ok then re-root and flash back to your rom of choice.

What fotak meant was what exactly did you do? Did you install modules? Tweaks? Etc. It would help us so we'd know where the problen lies.
But still, i think repairing using pcc is the way to go. A hassle, yes but it would let us know if it's a software or hardware issue. Problem is i haven't used the rom you're using, so it's hard to guess

Do as the other says, try to restore your phone to stock using Sony Update Service. If it dont work ill think its a hardware

It wont go I tried uninstalling the dev tool but it stay on the screen

Everything is back to normal now reinstalled the devtools n changed the app settings there was this option to turn off the pointer from the app
