My power button recently broke and after rooting my phone I downloaded button remapper. Sadly, button remapper doesn't work with the 3d button for some odd reason so i was wondering if there was any other way to change it to the power button. Does anyone know how I could do it with Root Explorer or another app?
The reason why the 3D button isn't mapped on that app is because there is only 2 or 3 devices out there (Optimus 3D and Thrill are the same. Then there is the EVO 3D.) with the button.
As for remapping it, I have no clue.
I know how to remap it for the camera button just not the power button.

Hi guys! Btw i know theres a post about how to remap the 3d button to open camera; however, I was wondering if I could remap it to do 2 dif things. You know how in stock, if you press the 3d button when ur in anything but camera you go to the 3d center w/e? And then if ur in camera app and you press 3d button it changes 2d / 3d? Well i was wondering its possible to remap this button so that if ur anywhere besides the camera, and you press the 3d button, it will go to the camera, and when ur in the camera app and you press the 3d button, it will act as a shutter. Thanks!!!

The gingerbread update addresses this just be patient until we get an ATT GB version our install the O3D one

Hello, the new HTC ICS phones use three capacitive buttons Home, back, and a multitasking button. How would this work in legacy apps that require a menu button? I ask because I would love to have the captivate menu button function as a multitasking button without changing any of the other buttons. Is this possible?
Is there a button remapper for the ice cream sandwich? I know there is a button remapper app for gingerbread and it works flawlessly on gingerbread roms, but recently I installed texasice ICS rom, and the app only gives me three buttons to remap which are the volume buttons and the power button. Since my power button is broken, I wanted to remap my search key to act as my power button.
Any help is appreciated, thank you.

Any one know of away to take screen shots with out power button. I'm running asylum cm10 v6 and have no power button all apps I have found do not work with the gnote. So I'm looking for ether a app or a way to remap buttons to do it with one button like holding the back button or something like that.

I'm sure you know it already or maybe the custom ROM won't support it but did you try putting the side of your palm and sweeping it to the left? or maybe holding the button on the s pen and touch the screen with it?
If you already knew that and that the pen would not work on a custom rom, peace!
The palm trick only works on TW roms so , I guess you will have to use power button
I guess there are many apps in playstore to take screenshots
well i could not get any apps to work so i just figured out how to remap the power button to the home button so i lost the home button but have my power button back is a good trade for me anyways

So a friend dropped his C5303 and the power button is now a little sticky.
Any way to turn the camera button into the power button?

EDIT: This device isn't rooted and he'd have no idea how to!
Without rooting you are not able to remap buttons.
If he choose to root then he could use xposed frame work app and a module that would remap buttons or he can try using tasker....it is a paid app but has its own tasker help thread on xda.
