Welcome to x91WGx's Gigglebread Edition!
Disclaimer:
Code:
Please note that this ROM is based on an UNOFFICIAL CyanogenMod7 build, named Gigglebread.
It contains cherry picks and fixes by non-CM7 devs.
I decided to make this ROM as it was suggested to me that Gigglebread appears to be better than the official CyanogenMod7.
I do not agree nor disagree on this, but I did get motivated enough to make this ROM.
Once again:
If you are looking for my x91WGx's Gingerbread Edition ROM v3.1.2, then you are wrong here. Please go here.
As I was saying..
This ROM is based on the unofficial CyanogenMod7 build Gigglebread.
It has the same features as my Gingerbread Edition, but is based on a different build.
I just posted it here for the people that prefer Gigglebread over the official CyanogenMod7, but like my (so far not that many) modifications to the ROM.
The ROM currently holds:
- Latest VorkKernel by Benee & Kiljacken
- Libsqlite.so patch by Benee
- Quicker GPS fix in Europe
- Updated BusyBox (1.19)
- Customized framework (icons, battery percentage, notifications tab)
- The following apps:
Terminal Emulator, Browser, Calculator,
Calendar, Camera, Contacts, Desk Clock,
Email, File Manager, Gallery 3D,
Google Sync, Gingerbread Keyboard,
ADW Launcher, MIUI Music, MMS,
Pimp My CPU 2.7, Rom Manager,
Sound Recorder, Spare Parts,
SuperUser, Market, VoiceDialer,
Google Talk, Volume+.
Installation instructions:
0. Boot into recovery
1. Wipe Data/Factory Reset when coming from stock/another custom ROM! not needed when coming from an earlier version of this ROM
2. Install zip from SDcard >> Choose zip from SDcard >> select the ROM.zip file
3. Let it install, when done, reboot!
Changelog:
v4.0:
- Based on Gigglebread 310511-2041
v3.1:
- Updated VorkKernel to 310511
v3.0:
- Based on Gigglebread 300511-1348
v2.0:
- Based on Gigglebread 280511-1436
v1.5:
- Initial release, based on Gigglebread 240511-1542
- VorkKernel 240511 by Benee & Kiljacken
- Libsqlite.so patch by Benee
- Quicker GPS fix in Europe
- Updated BusyBox (1.19)
- Customized framework (icons, battery percentage, notifications tab)

EDIT: v3.0 released!
The latest version of gapps (gapps-jb-20130301-signed.zip) on the official Google download page (http://goo.im/gapps/) for JellyBean is version 4.2.2-573038.
This thread is a work in progress in an attempt to keep an updated version of gapps available for Galaxy Tab 2 users. Currently, the official gapps package (20130301) is up-to-date with Jelly Bean, but I have still released an updated package with my modifications. See changelog in text files below for details.
History:
* Attached is gapps for JB (4.1.2-485486) extracted from stock Galaxy Nexus I9250 ROM (JZO54K).
* Attached is gapps for JB (4.2.2-573038) extracted from stock Galaxy Nexus I9250 ROM (JDQ39).
Note: The Galaxy Tab 2 and the Galaxy Nexus both share the same processor (OMAP4) from Texas Instruments. Therefore, because their chipsets are the same, gapps extracted from Galaxy Nexus firmwares are also optimized for the Galaxy Tab 2.
These files have been tested working on CM10 and CM10.1 (depending on the version of gapps). The version of the gapps must match the version of the Android operating system. For example, gapps 4.2.2 only works with Android 4.2.2.
Note: These new gapps packages also contain the latest versions of FaceLock, Gmail, and Google Talk.
*** Attached below are also clockworkmod flash-able zip files for DPI 160 modified Google Play and GoogleServicesFramework. If you want to change the Galaxy Tab 2 into "Tablet" user interface, then the /system/build.prop must be changed to a DPI of 133 or less. Unfortunately, these changes will break the Google Play market compatibility because the market does not know your device when you change the DPI properties. Therefore, a DPI of 160 has been now hard-coded into these two applications which allows you to change build.prop to anything you want without affecting the compatibility of the market. The version of the Android Market that has been included in these DPI modified flashable zip files is 3.4.7. I have chosen this version (3.4.7) because it is the last version that still has full compatibility with Ti Backup and it is also the last version of Google Play with a "sane" version of the applications list. IMHO.
The version of Google Play (Phonesky.apk) in the DPI 160 zips can also be updated with any of the "DPI 160" patched market files from this post (http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1580827) and you can keep the same version of GSF that I have just posted.
** All zip files are flash-able via ClockWorkMod

New version of gapps for ics (4.0.4-390215) extracted from latest P3113 ROM (P3113UEBLG5_P3113XARBLG5_XAR). Enjoy.

Cause i'm still running 4.0.3 even if I tried to flash 4.0.4 but it didn't work

The ICS versions work with any 4.0.4 ROM like cyanogen 9.
I have just added gapps-jb-4.1.1-398337-signed.zip (optimized for OMAP processors) for JellyBean to the first post. These files were extracted from the new OTA Galaxy Nexus JellyBean update (JRO03C). I figured that the Galaxy Tab 2 and the Galaxy Nexus should work the same because they both share the same processor and I did not want to wait for google to release a new gapps package. Notice that gapps-jb-20120726-signed (from the official gapps download page) is actually 4.1-392829. The gapps package that I have just uploaded is 4.1.1. This gapps package includes updated versions of Google Talk, Gmail, and FaceLock as well.
This is tested working on CM10.
Note: This gapps package (4.1.1-398337) should work with any device using an OMAP processor (p51xx and p31xx) and running Android 4.1.1 (jellybean).
I have re-uploaded gapps-jb-4.1.1-398337-signed because I had accidentally left out a file in the package. The calendar sync was not working. This is now fixed and a new link has been added to the first post.

Actually, there is a slightly newer version of Calendar Sync that I just found in one of the other packages I made. I could substitute 4.0.3 for 4.0.4-390215 (from my ICS gapps). Although, I still can not find a Calendar Sync for 4.1.

Thanks for pointing that out. I have updated the link to gapps-jb-4.1.1-398337-signed.zip on the first page one more time with the following minor change:
Updated GoogleCalendarSyncAdapter from 4.0.3-239410 to 4.0.4-390215 (20120801)
Upgrade procedure: Flash with clockworkmod. No data wipes necessary.
Do I need to wipe before flashing or can I just flash over my ICS gapps? I'm on CM10

You do not need to wipe if you are already on CM10 and you have flashed the official gapps. You can install these gapps on top of the official gapps without having to wipe anything.
thanks for this!
I have just added clockworkmod flash-able zip files for DPI 160 modified Google Play and GoogleServicesFramework. If you want to change the Galaxy Tab 2 into "Tablet" user interface, then the /system/build.prop must be changed to a DPI of 133 or less. Therefore, a DPI of 160 has been now hard-coded into these two applications which allows you to change build.prop to anything you want without affecting the compatibility of the market. I have created two files, one for the latest 20120726 official Google Apps, and also one for the 4.1.1-398337 Gapps that I have included in this post. The version of the Android Market that has been included in these flashable zip files is 3.4.7. I have chosen this version (3.4.7) because it is the last version that still has full compatibility with Ti Backup and it is also the last version of Google Play with a "sane" version of the applications list. IMHO.
But, you can update the Market with any of the "DPI 160" patched market files from this post (http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1580827) and keep the same version of GSF that I have just posted.
Been having a issue restoring my settings after flashing gapps, When I look into backup & reset 'backup my data' and 'automatic restore' is checked. Under 'backup account' it shows no account is currently storing backup data, not sure if that has anything to do with it.
Running CM9 final, everytime I flash a new rom then gapps after all my previous settings are lost.

GoogleBackupTransport is the file that would affect backing up your data. Your settings should not be lost by just flashing gapps again during an upgrade of the same version ROM (for example, flashing a new nightly build over the last one). Actually, you do not have to keep flashing gapps after every installation because they are backed up with Cyanogenmod's scripts. Which version of gapps are you using? Does this problem occur if you use GoogleBackupTransport.apk from the official gapps?
Note that the DPI 160 patched zips with a modified GSF and Google Play are for CM 10 only.

Presenting, MicroDelta stock based JB 4.1.2 ROM (P3110XXDME3) for the Samsung Galaxy Tab 2 P3110 and P3113 (see addons for more information on P3113 infrared support). There are no performance enhancing init.d scripts or system tweaks applied to this ROM. Everything should be as close to stock as possible. All customizations for this ROM will be provided below as independent addons.
JB 4.1.2
Deodexed
Zipaligned
Busybox 1.20.2r2 with statically linked binary (Resource: https://code.google.com/p/yangapp/downloads/detail?name=busybox-1.20.2r2)
Superuser 1.0.1.8 by ClockworkMod is now default superuser application. This version is chosen because it is fully working, free, and open source. Resource: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.koushikdutta.superuser ** Note** XXDMA2 release uses SuperSU 1.25 (Resource: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1538053)
Kernel init.d support added to stock ramdisk. Note: The init.d support in this ROM is triggered by a patch to init.rc in the ramdisk (instead of the alternate "install-recovery.sh" init.d trigger method). The alternate "install-recovery.sh" init.d trigger method is not used in this ROM because it can conflict with the init.d support provided by other custom kernels and cause the init.d scripts to be executed twice.
Note: The modified version of Google Play Store is now supplied separately with latest release (XXDME3). See attachments below for flashable zip to install this version of the modified Play Store. Google Play Store 3.4.7 (/system/app/Phonesky.apk) added and modified to skip automatic internal self update (Google has permanently disabled Ti Backup's ability to attach and detach applications in the Play Store after version 3.4.7, so the Google Play Store has been modified to not internally update itself automatically without notification or permission). Resource: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1580827
Startup and Shutdown sound files renamed with "bak" extension to prevent execution (these two sound files can be changed back to their original names to enable the default startup and shutdown sounds again).
/system/media/audio/ui/PowerOff.ogg
/system/media/audio/ui/PowerOn.ogg
Sysro and sysrw scripts added to /system/xbin for easy command line interface.
No default applications have been removed from this ROM. I find it safer to use Ti Backup and freeze the applications that I do not want to use, instead of removing them. Here is a list of the applications that I recommend freezing with Ti Backup in this ROM:
AllShare Play
AllShare Service
ChatON
Game Hub
Google Play Magazines
Google Play Music
Kobo
Music Hub
PressReader
Readers Hub
S Suggest
Samsung Apps
Samsung Push Service
Software update
Video Hub
Zinio
Notes on Tablet UI:
For the "Tablet UI", I recommend using Xposed Framework. Resource: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=24267797
After setting up Xposed framework, install the "TabletUI" and "App Settings" Xposed modules. Activate both Xposed modules and use the App Settings Xposed module to control the DPI of the SystemUI (with a range of 134 to 160 DPI). Any DPI setting for the SystemUI that is lower than 134, while the TabletUI Xposed module is also activated, will cause the SystemUI to report an error. DPI 145 seems to be optimal size because this is as low as it can go before the long press on the home button works with Google Now.
Tablet UI Xposed module: http://www.villainrom.co.uk/forum/threads/tabletui-trigger.5527/ or http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=41583916&postcount=84
App Settings Xposed module: http://www.villainrom.co.uk/forum/threads/app-settings.5486/ or http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=41891726&postcount=116
Xposed Module Homepage: http://www.villainrom.co.uk/forum/forums/xposed_framework_mods/
You must use Xposed Framework >= v2.1.4 (along with the TabletUI module) for this to work properly with this ROM.
Notes on custom kernels:
This ROM should work as a good base for testing custom kernels. There are many to choose from, but the KK Boot image works very well (thanks ketut.kumajaya). Reference: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1855700
Recommended Installation:
** If you are already running a stock 4.1.x ROM, then there is no need to wipe the data/cache. Just flash over the top of the previous installation without wiping.
** If you are currently using an AOKP or CM based ROM, then a wipe of the data/cache after installation is required.
Thanks:
Special thanks to everyone here on XDA that helped me put this together. Attached below is a text file (MicroDelta-P3110-JB-4.1.2-P3110XXDME3.txt) with the MD5 and link to the ROM. I have also attached a few custom MicroDelta (and alternate Deltadroid) bootanimations and wallpapers for your Home and lock screen. Enjoy.
Additional Addons:
Attached below is also a ClockworkMod flashable zip (MicroDelta-JB-4.1.2-P3110XXDME3-stock-kernel-init.d-bootanimation-signed.zip) of the stock kernel with init.d support plus additional custom bootanimation support. The kernel package also comes with a custom MicroDelta bootanimation which is installed to /system/media/bootanimation.zip. Note: This kernel package with bootanimation support will also work with a P3113. Edit: Added alternate bootanimation with kernel called Deltadroid.
Additionally, attached below is a text file (MicroDelta-P3113-JB-4.1.2-P3113XXDME3.txt) that contains the MD5 and link to a ClockworkMod flashable zip for P3113 support. The flashable zip will modify build.prop on the MicroDelta ROM so that Settings->About will display the correct P3113 model number. Also, this flashable zip will install the Peel Infrared support for the P3113. Flash the zip over the top of the P3110 MicroDelta ROM to install.
The extended 4-Way Reboot menu modification has been added below as a flashable ClockworkMod zip. This modification alters android.policy.jar and integrates the extended reboot menu into the system. Credits to kahvitahra for posting a howto.
In addition to the 4-Way Reboot menu modification, the Back2Kill mod is also available for android.policy.jar (allows you to long press the back key to kill current running applications). This modification is combined with the 4-Way Reboot Modification because both of these modifications are changing the same file. Credits to Mirko ddd for posting a howto.
The Ripple lockscreen has been added below as a flashable ClockworkMod zip. This modification alters framework-res.apk and services.jar to integrate the Ripple lockscreen. Credits to txr33 for posting a howto.
The stock video player also comes as an addon with transparent control buttons (play,ff,rw) and support for bluetooth control (pause,ff,rw,next track, previous track).
Provided below are three different options for altering the user interface (for both p3110 and p3113):
1) JB-black-statusbar-icons: change the Touchwiz status bar to black and the status bar icons to the default Jelly Bean icon set for the wifi, battery, and bluetooth. Also, change the notification panel to a black background with Jelly Bean blue accents. Works in PhabletUI and TabletUI.
2) JB-nominiapps-black-statusbar-icons: Same as option #1 plus removes the mini applications "arrow" that exists in the middle of the navigation bar (so that the TabletUI modification has more room for the soft keys). Works in PhabletUI and TableUI.
3) JB-nominiapps: Keep the default Touchwiz status bar and icon set. Only remove the mini applications "arrow".

Screenshots of PhabletUI and TabletUI:
Thx for this rom ,finally a update I used the last 3 month Expressorom , but now there is 4.1.2.
Until now no problems at all.
But will Playstore takes updates in the near future or not?
Thx
:good:
The Play Store is just patched so it will not try to automatically update itself to a newer version without asking you first. All your applications and games should update without problems using the older version of the Play Store, although, you can install any version of the Play Store on top of the version that this ROM comes with. The thread is referenced above for newer versions of the Play Store that are also patched to not automatically update themselves.
You also have the option of downloading a current unpatched copy of the Play Store and it will go back to automatically updating itself to newer versions without asking.
Although, Google Play 3.4.7 gives Ti Backup the ability to attach or detach modified apk files to the market so I can choose what things I want to update or not. This way I can pin specific versions of apps or games in the Play Store.

The p3110 and p3113 system partitions and kernels are exactly the same except the p3113 has the additional infrared hardware and software. The ROM posted here will install a new kernel and format and install a new system partition where all of the programs are located. But, a different ROM could install, format, replace, other partitions that are not compatible amongst the various model types. For example, a bootloader from a p3110 would never work with any other device. What I'm saying is that you always have to know what partitions the ROM is going to replace, because some of the other partitions are not compatible across other device models.
I was thinking that since the system partition in the p3110 firmware is so close to the system partition in the p3113 firmware, that I could pull the infrared software off the old p3113 firmware and use it on the newer p3110 firmware.
MicroDelta P3113 Support
For P3113 users that would like to try this MicroDelta ROM but add additional infrared support and make it display the correct model number:
I added a text file to the OP that contains the MD5 and the link to a ClockworkMod flashable zip that will fix build.prop of the MicroDelta ROM that I posted in the OP so that Settings->About will display the correct P3113 model number. Also, the Peel Infrared support will be installed for the P3113. Please let me know if this helps. I do not have a P3113 so I can not fully test this, but it should be ok.
At the time of this writing, the latest official ROM for the P3113 is version 4.1.1. This addon should make a fully functioning 4.1.2 custom ROM with infrared support for the P3113.
Instructions for P3113 users: First, install the MicroDelta P3110 ROM from the OP then install this addon over the top to add P3113 support.

Btw, what others tweaks do you recomend (if any) to your ROM?
I would recommend testing this with the KK boot image if you feel like testing the cutting edge. Thanks.
How are you able to get IR to work? I must know.

The IR software works because it is looking for the stock ROM framework which is included.
This is flashable .zip of the stock factory image released yesterday by Google. Fully stock, no root or busybox.
I DO NOT HAVE THE PHONE ANYMORE, SO LOLLIPOP BUILDS ARE ONLY COMMUNITY TESTED.
GAPPS included in ROM.
HOW TO:
1. Download ROM (and Radio)
2. Update to latest TWRP or latest CMW
3. Flash zips
4. Flash SuperSU for root - http://download.chainfire.eu/450/SuperSU/UPDATE-SuperSU-v2.00.zip

Everything is working - flash over Nexus 5 port.
It seems a little smoother.

Will check eveyrhing tonight
Just one question:
After flashing the rom, supersu has to be flashed in recovery before the 1st reboot, that's right?
Can somebody upload the rom and radio to another mirror? mega.co.nz don't let me to download the files :_(
Thank you!
Thanks for this one.

Before or after doesn't really matter, but flash it all together.

No
Can I flash radio .97 but not flash kitkat stay on JB??
I'M NOT RESPONSIBLE FOR ANY DAMAGE AND/OR DATA LOSS AS A RESULT OF FLASHING THIS ROM !!!
PLEASE PERFORM FULL BACKUP IN THE MICRO SD CARD OR IN AN EXTERNAL STORAGE BEFORE YOU TRY !!!
Do you need reliability and predictability? Then better stay with THIS ROM
I have decided to create a separate thread because:
- I would like to distinguish Android Q BETA bug reports from my normal (Pie stable) thread, mentioned above
- It is normal that there will be definitely much more "bad reports" here, because most of them will be "beta related"
This thread will be closed when Samsung will release stable Android Q (One UI 2.0)
Everything you will need to know about DevBase ROM in general - you will find in my stable thread (mentioned above)
Differences comparing to stable Oreo DevBase ROM:
- No AppLock (yet)

Dirty flash over my Pie DevBase ROM SHOULD WORK WITHOUT ISSUES but before you try - I would highly recommend you to set default (stock) theme and default (stock) icons !!! However - I would recommend you clean install (Wipe -> Swipe to Factory Reset is enough)
NOTE1: This time it is mandatory to update also bootloader to Q - otherwise ROM will not boot

NOTE2: If you want to perform clean install with encryption - it is highly recommended to use TWRP 3.2.3.0 to format /data. More info about bug with TWRP 3.3.1.x - HERE
Known issues:
- SafetyNet does not pass (it is intended by Samsung in beta builds)
- Please let me know
Thanks to:
- all users mentioned in my main thread
- @henklbr for links to update.zip(s)
- @corsicanu & @ambasadii for tips related to Q beta
Do you want to provide dump (e.g. for G960F or a newer version for G965F)?
Please do as follow:
- Make sure OEM unlock is ON
- Flash TWRP but don't let device boot to system after that - use power+bixby+vol_up combo immediately after phone rebooted automatically
- Tap "Keep read only"
- Wipe -> Format data -> "yes"
- Reboot -> Recovery
- Copy attached zip to the device
- Flash it and wait a few minutes
- Copy /sdcard/G960F_dump directory to the PC and compresss it (zip / 7z / rar / etc..)
- Share me and wait for a new Q build
NOTE: DO NOT use Magisk or other boot patchers before you run my zip - I need PURE clean kernel and other images !!! After you run my zip and copy result to PC - you can do what you want
G960F? ????????
Wow, this is fast. Even though this just a test, I'll try and report soon

I have Soldier's latest ROM on my S9+, and i want to try this ROM. I need to wipe "everything" in TWRP, and after a TWRP restart i need to flash the ROM, and after the BL, or first the BL and the ROM?

Magisk is on board, there is no need to flash it separately

First ROM, then BL (one by one). This order is recommended because BL update forces auto reboot

Thanks, i'll try it.
I just found a major CSC issue in the installer (RC1) while updating device from Pie -> Q, please wait for updated version (RC2) !!! (RC1 worked fine only if your previous ROM was based on Q)
EDIT: Update will be available in less than one hour
