Thanks for the link!, will try it out.
Ran it with Simply Honey JVB, it FC's alot. Notification bar FC's. Some features are really nice, ran kinda sluggish. Recovery and DL extended power options didn't work. Did a CWM backup prior to flashing, restored back with no problems. Definitely needs more development.
works flawless on my captivate running continuum 5 RC1 besides the RC1 bugs. its a really nice launcher.

just pm a moderator. this will get moved eventually. a rom isnt android development unless people are contributing to the actual development of the rom itself. We have grown accustomed to believing a new rom for us to flash is development when in reality it is not. Anyway sorry for rambling on as my post is off topic as well.
My bad, I hope a mod moves it then sorry for posting in the wrong section...

If your getting fc's with this, someone uploaded a couple fixes in the original thread I think around page 7. Seems like roms with themes have the most problems.
I already downloaded it and installed tgrough recovery and nothin at all changed.

i think you need cwm 3.0
i just extracted and moved the files in root explorer. worked great but the app drawer button is ugly, not all the features work and it is painfully slow. looks kinda cool though. to each there own
Yeah mine was perfect at first then it got slow.

Note that some of the files posted in that thread have been hideously themed with some disgusting bubble glass crap. It looks quite nice if you have the Samsung-themed one.
It looks nice, curious to take it for a spin.
(And call me a teenager, but i still snort a little every time i see the name... touch... whizz... heheheh)
Just installed on my Continuum RC1 and works flawlessly so far. I think I'm going to keep it for awhile.
Did not work in RC2 though.
EDIT: Ok after some use.. it does FC alot. I'm going back to stock.
looks way nicer than the touchwiz prior.
I don't know I like it. It's a bit different but pretty cool

Probably won't be any magic for some time.
Remember, it's an SDK port.

Sounds good. If nexus one is getting one, we may as well too
I really dont see the point of this. This is a "port" which will probably not function correctly for quite some time... if ever.
With ICS coming soon natively, I think this is a waste of time. Sure it's fun to play around with, dont get me wrong, but I'm thinking it will turn out like the Honeycomb port...
why so much work when google already announced they will release 4.0 for nexus s soon.

It doesn't matter if if the official is coming or not. Ports (even an SDK) are a cool preview of whats to come. With gingerbread I remember using the evervolv alphas on my evo. To me the alphas are fun.
Although Google said it would update, nobody knows when it will update.

Yeah, like 1 month or so...very soon.
According to german sources, the Updates are rolling out in December as they want to make the Nexus Prime somewhat special. Nexus S is very likely to be the first device to get the update though.

Hi All,
I'm looking for a tester for CarbonRom on the 3G Nexus 7 (tilapia).
I have built the rom, but would like it tested before release. If everything works, we also have a nightly system which will push out the builds every night with our added features.
To see what the CarbonRom features, please check out the thread for the Nexus 7 (grouper). http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2137798
Anyone interested, please either reply here on contact me via PM.
Regards,
Matt

System UI crashes many times, while rotating and while in the middle of an app. When you open the app drawer, everything hangs, none of the apps can be launched and The Launcher eventually crashes after a few seconds.
Hope this helps the ROM to become better.

Due to Dev no longer being able to continue updates to Hyperdroid ROM. Need to get a poll of where people are migrating to. I'm looking for a similar ROM with virtually ZERO bugs like Hyperdroid has.

Well I didn't flash gapps just for testing purposes. The ROM does indeed boot. You were also correct. I am impressed. Very nice ROM. Haha, sweet deal. I haven't found any bugs yet. Working my way down the settings menu. Going to install again with some gapps this time so I can test the reverse lookup, etc. I'm not sure about needing to flash root or not yet, as I couldn't install a root app due to lack of play store. I'll report back in a few minutes. Downloading the mini modular package from PA. ~85MB. Shouldn't be too long.
I use slim minimal gapps and recommend them for the darkness switch compatibility ..

True, I just went with the first small package that came to mind. Okay so root does need to be flashed after the ROM and gapps.
So far I found 2 things.
1. Quick Setting tiles > style > transparency goes from a flat gray (normal) at 0%. Once you get it to 50% it will be come slightly transparent. 51-100% transparency will just make it turn flat black with no transparency. Not sure if it's meant to be like that but I can see through them on other ROMs. Not a big deal though.
2. I'll try again with slim gapps, but I can't use nearby places lookup. Doesn't work even after toggling in settings. But that might be a gapps issue so I'll check and see.
This ROM is quick. I like it a lot. So that's the only issues I noticed so far, everything else was working good. Well polished for the first release on this device. Honestly I don't think it even needs an Alpha/Beta tag. No reboots no SoD. Feels like its ready for primetime. all in all it would take more time to list what isn't working rather than what is which is what I did. No force closes, etc. Ready for a daily driver. I'm going to stick with it.
Sent from my Nexus 5 using Tapatalk
Edit: would you ever consider SuperSU over SuperUser? I know some don't like it because it isn't open source (last I heard) but it doesn't give me problems with some apps like superuser.
