[Q] Error Status 7; Galaxy S+

Hi guys, first of all, I apologize for my poor English.
I tried to flash different Roms through CWM but always got the Error Status 7. I googled it, found some threads but still didn't understand what went wrong. I tried to check the md5 number but couldn't find the one I had to compare it with.
I can flash with Odin without any problems but CWM doesn't work. Can anybody tell me, how to fix that?
Sorry, I'm a noob, and thanks for any help.

If you are trying to install a ICS Rom you need the right Recovery ( TWRP- Touchrecovery or CWM 6.x ) search in the S-Plus Wiki there are downloadlinks to them.

I was trying to flash the MIUIv4. I don't know if that's an ICS Rom :\

Help !!!

My galaxy ace can't running and stop on black screen show samsung... when i change my framework permission then startly show "....what google search unxpectally..." then i reboot my hp then just like tis. I try to restore on cwm but not success ? How ?

Why did you change the permissions of the framework? It's a very risky thing to do if the phone is running...since you can't restore using cwm, i believe that the backup must be corrupted...so now you should flash a fresh firmware using ODIN and start off new to solve your soft brick problem...

then which firmware i should flash ? my galaxy ace stock rom is froyo 2.2.1 , but i upgrade to gingerbread 2.3.6 ddkq8. and also i don't have stock rom , how to flash ? thx

Yes...it's called flashing custom roms through cwm...

somebody help !!! i already flash with odin but my hp still can't run in to lockscreen... just on black screen "samsung" and animation , then turn back to black screen "samsung" and animation..repeat..repeat...repeat... how ? help !!!:crying:

Start in recovery mode and wipe everything, then reboot

i check the report error in CWM-based Recovery v5.0.2.6 ,
/tmp/recovery.log was copied to
/sdcard/clockworkmod/recovery.log.
Please open Rom Manager to report the issue.

You already flashed with odin, wipe everything, confirm.
DO NOT DOWNLOAD ROM MANAGER, IT KILLS ACE.

Did you put cooper.pit into the PIT area? And are you sure your ace is GT S5830? You can flash a 2.3 system directly...no problem...try a different firmware if your problem is not solved...your ODIN flash was not successful because you have csc error...

what is csc ?

Try flashing again, do you have cwm? if you have cwm, remember to wipe data, clear cache, clear dalvik cache.

Are u sure you have 5830 & not 5830i??
Try flashing another stock rom by odin in download mode.
Reboot to recovery, wipe data & cache

Hi i cant flash anything new using the new cwm recovery 6.0.3.1

help i cant flash anything using this version of cwm. It always abort my installation of the zip file. For example, the siyah kernel on my s3 and megabassbeats v2. Help pls

what's the error? what model do you have?
there's no siyah for the i9305

download a ROM from the i9305 section to be sure

Have you tried the "toggle verification signature" to make sure its disabled??

Yeah I've been having the same problem when trying to flash anything Android 4.2.2. I changed to Team Win recovery and it fixed everything, never looked back.

[Q] Why won't my Galaxy Ace install any other rom?

Hey guys, I've been having this problem with my Galaxy Ace, and it is that I can't seem to install any other custom rom on it (via custom recovery mod), except for Stock Rom Evolution 1.5. Here is the link to that very rom. http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2079272 . An error message displays when I try to install any other custom rom which I find on the threads on this website, and believe me, I have tried to install alot of them! I was just wondering if anyone might have been experiencing similar issues, and would have any words of advice?

What error are you getting ? Be more specific & btw, wrong section.

Hello, I have attached an image of the error which occurred during installation. Sorry I posted in the wrong section, I am a newbie and have only made an xda account recently.
