My new battery..... :P - Galaxy Ace S5830 Accessories

just bought a new battery for my ace.... stock one died
Sent from my GT-S5830 using xda premium

Well , it's still the stock battery......
This should go to accessories section
"Friends forever." - Ventus

congratulations
1) this should be in accessories.
2) you've given no info like where you got the battery etc
This is a pretty pointless thread.
PS. Is it just me that cant see the attachment? the attachment area is just blank (chrome 22, windows 7)

is it jut me that saw "gt-s5360" printed on the packaging?
so does sgy uses same battery as ace?

i will be going very hard for you to use low end phone after using high end phone
if you like roms more than specs themln mini is good but if you like specs more than rom then galaxy fit is good
also try to convince you mom to atleast buy you a galaxy s i think she will get convinced
i THINK U HAVE TO GO FOR GALAXY GIO ITS GOOD THEN MINI
Buy a Galaxy Gio / Ace, just don't buy a phone with 240x320 resolution.

1. Wrong section.
2. You need to edit GT-S5830.rle in boot.img, to do that you need to decompile boot.img and after you're done properly recompile it.

Then nope, you can only damage the display doing anything like that, the cover consists of a black plastic case where the logo is embedded and glass over it(Gorilla glass), the glass and plastic is pretty much fused together.
You should write "how to remove samsung logo ABOVE THE SCREEN?"
Sent from my GT-P6200 using Tapatalk 2
I think it looks nice enough with the logo!
Anyways..I promise your Ace won't look sleek if you try to pry out your gorilla glass just to remove that Samsung logo...
Or just cover it with black tape!

Your phone is different so leave S5830 DEV forum.
Sorry 4 beign an ass but it's better for you and your device.
The s5830i is the budget version of the s5830 and it has a weird rom on it but it doesn't have custom compatibilitys

You made me think if you can understand your own post.
You said that S5830i is the budget version of S5830.
But S5830 is already a budget phone.
So how can it be a budget version of a budget phone???

It's fairly obvious that when I said "it's a budget version of the s5830" that even cheaper parts were used to make the thing.... any other person with some intelligence would most probably understand that.. if not then I apologize for my miss leading saying from before.. jeez

Short answer:
It won't happen. Due to cheap parts its unable to run ICS.
Yes...... this person gets it

Its the same price as the original Ace and Samsung calls it an "Upgraded version"
Anyway, now Galaxy Y has a CM9 port which is booting.
So there are chances for the Ace i users to taste ICS.
