Install it again from market, since you are not rooted, you must be using a 3rd party one

Did it disappear again?
Well....samsung firmware is buggy. So maybe task manager must have frozen or something automatically and reloaded when you rebooted.

I don't think he ever got it back earlier, he doesn't know how to reboot, his english is bad so you might have misunderstood him.

Lol....shutting down and starting is the same as rebooting.
If you really want to only reboot, just press lock button for 8 seconds.

Doesn't matter, ask your friend to reboot, that should bring his missing task manager back.

What rom you're using?
Is it rooted?
If not, you should call authorized assistance.
Have you got any apps open?
Have you cleared cache?
Do you play games when the device is on charge?

Download mode not working (Fully Bricked?)

Looking for some help here..
Was recently trying to update my note to ICS and then it stopped working. I left it during the update and then when I came back there was nothing on the screen and I couldn't turn it on.
Download mode isn't working and I don't have warranty
Would it be worth getting this?

Any suggestions would be appreciated!

Hi,
You before remove the battery for about 5-10 sec, than reinsert this and plug jig in the phone.. After about few second, you enter in download mode and flash a new rom..

Nope, i believe that's the only option you have. If removing the battery won't help, it's either the jig or samsung center - sorry.

Don't hurry things up. If you want to root, stick with it or leave it stock. Don't play the game you played now.

Do a search in Titanium for messages. See if it's frozen. If not, try restoring it

Anyone willing to make a backup of the message app, not the data , just the app in titanium? Can you send it my way? I think I should be able to restore it in titanium.

If you have a file explorer like root just extract the messaging.apk from rom zip you are using and move it over to /system/apps. Give it proper r/w permissions and reboot

I copied over Message+Nonprime.apk and Message+Nonprime.odex.
Those two files were already in the system/app folder, and i was asked if i wanted to overwrite. i did and rebooted.
Still no message app. didnt work
Edit. I deleted those two files after it didn't work, then copied back over. Rebooted and it worked. Thanks everyone for the help.
