Red incredible s !!!

So does anybody own a RED coloured Incredible s?
I am really eager to get one soon, I've contacted a local store they seem to have it will certainly go grab it once i'm free...
If any of you have one do post some hot pictures of it!

i have the red one aswell

I was being offered the red one but I was too scared to take it. Was afraid it would chip off or something eventually or I'd have a hard time reselling it. I'm happy for you, though.

That was my thought as well. Actually I wasn't planning on buying the red as I originally thought it was more of a candy red from ads I saw. It's deep red that looks really nice in real life. Problem now is I like it so much, I'm reluctant to cover it up with a protective case, even a clear one...

You can buy the parts on ebay for a red chassis, but it doesn't come with the battery cover and I have yet to find that

Do i need a case for nexus s?

I know using a case makes the phone more rugged and stuff but i like my phone thin... do you think i really need case for my nexus s?

too thin isn't good enough to hold , i have it slipped out of hand few times ...

Ringke makes a very thin case if you like the style:

It's pretty close to my idea of a perfect case when it's new, but it tends to stretch out after a month or two.
A quality alternative is the Mercury case, but it's significantly thicker. The phone is thin to begin with, so I didn't mind the added bulk--I actually enjoy the little bit of bulk it adds.

Looks not that bad... i don't really mind scratch... I'll give it a try later on... thanks

I currently have a white Nexus S... and this cover makes my phone not feel flimsy... hard gel... great feel =] looks really nice on it... sprint had them but they stopped selling them.. if u go to the mall ull find them there in cell phone Case Booths... 20 bucks =] my phone is like new.. no scratches... no damage. All because this case made it happen =]

No not at all actually. unless you are capable of dropping it.

That is not a bad case at all iGoogle. However it doesn't fit an i9023 (or NS4G).
Also, you can get it from eBay for about $1.70 or so, which is where i got mine (which i sadly can't use..). Easily the best bang-for-buck case available, if bought from eBay.

search for "nexus s s line case" in ebay.
Its relatively thin and super cheap.
I don't like the feel of the buttons but apart from that I think it's a great case.

i didnt use on at first...but after a few months i noticed the battery cover was getting scratched...so i decided to get one...i got a black one from sprint..which is a hard gel..now the phones protected and it dont feel as slippery...so yea id suggest u get one

And it does fit the NS4G ... same case I bought at Sprint... =] I bought a new one Because of Months Of Using the Case Turned Into My Skin Color =]

You don't need a case.
You don't need a case neither a screen protector. They make your nexus look very big.
The screen is very good, and very hard to scratch. About the back cover, it scratches very easily, so you can change it for another official back cover from time to time. One with NFC and everything is six dollars on ebay.

Painted the trim on my nexus 7 black.

Used one of those elmers painting pens for pastic. For not taking apart my nexus it came out fairly well.
Got the idea after seeing that article about carphone warehouse listing a 32gb nexus and a galaxy nexus 2. the picture they had of a nexus had a black trim. went to walmart and bought the paint pen asap.

I'm at work. I'll post more pics when I get home.

Took some pics on my break. Going to redo it tonight now that I got some masking tape. I'll feel more confident getting closer to the screen.

just curious if using Gaffer tape would be easier. it's strong enough and it's removable

I would use a low-tack masking tape, gaffer tape (duct tape) would be far too adhesive IMO.

Gaff tape doesn't have the nasty adhesive of duct tape (until it gets old and dried out/dusty ). It would look all weird though because it's like a fabric.

I might have to do this to my nexus as well. Mainly because the silver paint chipped off a little bit on the top.

the elmers paint pen comes off pretty easy with your nail but stays on during regular use just fine. i've already stripped it to redo again tonight. beware though, you will run out of paint in the pen by the time your done.

Someone should attempt this using Plasti-Dip. If you don't know what it is, it's like spray paint, but it creates a rubbery layer over whatever you spray, and you can peel it off later if you don't like it. It's very popular DIY product for cars.
I did some googling and it looks like some people have already attempted using it on phones, usually battery covers and cases, but I think it should work fine for this, and I'd be very curious to see the results.

Looks like my Nexus 7 I got at the Google I/O conference. The ones with the white backs they gave out also have black trims.
I think its funny the the pic they show on the N7 box shows one with a black trim not silver. Haha

Im tempted to try this, but first I want to do what another user posted and colour the X on the back in the Nexus Colours.
He used tape and it looked awesome.
Could be a nice little project its just buying a whole roll of coloured tape (For each colour = 4!) for a little strip is pointsless haha :/

I agree. The trim should have been black from the start, and aluminium or stainless steel painted black would have been great!

I wonder, can the silver trim be separated from the body? This would make changing it to black much easier.

2. The Camera whole is pushed lil over the lens glass which now allows me to place the phone on its back as earlier i was afraid always to not scratch it.
3. Embossed GALAXY NOTE II: its really loooks s*xy
No signal droop for me till now
And forgot to mention 1 con . No nfc. any ways I don't use it only may be once a month to transfer my mixes and some pictures to my sisters s3

Now i've seen two different kind of back cover just like this. One with a white border (like yours) and one with a black one i've seen. I think the black border one would blend in better with the titanium color note. How much you get yours OP? And where from? Thanks for the pics

Note 2 Flip Case - Genuine or fake?

Hey Guys,
I just bought myself a Samsung flip cover, although it looks genuine, im a bit skeptical and would like to know what you guys think based on the photos. Also, the first time i had it on the flip cover wasnt fully sitting on the screen, however, now after a few hours its alright. Moreover, the edge of the flip cover doesnt have that rubber coating that can be seen on the S3 flip cover. I could've bought it from the samsung store but i found it a bit cheaper from this other phone shop. Anyways, ive posted all the photos so hope i get some opinions. Cheers.

Heres an additional photo of the box. Im not sure if it makes any difference but it says that it was manufactured on 2013.03.12 and Model Number : EFC-1J9FWEGSTD

It looks real enough to me. I have the grey version and an orange version from Samsung and both of them are the same as yours including the packaging they came in. There is no rubber thing on the version for the Note II and mine didn't feel like it fit flush either at first but after a few days in it should mold perfectly to it.

Actually i was surprised as to why it wouldn't sit flush on the screen considering i never had this issue with the genuine flip cover for the S3. I bought this for like $17.70 compare that to the $40 price tag from the official samsung store and its a big win. Anyways, thanks alot for your input.

To be honest many fakes aren't actually fake but just defective Samsung products that people take and sell cheap on ebay or Amazon. So if it had an nfc sticker and looks good to you then that price is great.
