Got my June 27th "pre" ordered tablet and the AC adapter last Saturday (which I immediately sold since I had picked one up at Staples earlier.)
However, my case is still in limbo. I had ordered all three items at the same time, June 27th at 11am. I was flabbergasted to see it's listed as in stock on Google Play but they still haven't shipped mine. They won't let me cancel the order for it either.
Anyone else have accessory orders that haven't been processed/shipped?
Same here. Ordered N7 and case on June 28th. No case yet....really wish I could cancel it too.
Still waiting for my case from the June 27th 11am preorder... Staggering incompetence. Bad enough I got my tablet about two weeks after all of the other people who pre-ordered days/weeks later or people that waltzed into Gamestop, Sam's, Staples, etc.
Now I checked my credit card and they haven't charged me maybe because they haven't shipped the damn case. Haven't charged me for ANYTHING even the tablet and ac adapter I've received. Guess they're waiting until they complete the order before they charge me. Hopefully they'll just keep their piece of crap case and forget about me.
I e-mailed them and it's the same story... Can't cancel, but we've got no idea when your order might ship. I'm gonna be 62 in 2037 and going to buy ramen and cheap beer and have my credit card declined because of a $315 charge from Google Play... :laugh:

Still haven't received my case from the June 27th 11am "pre-order." Talked to Google Play twice and they said there is no support in their system to cancel individual items from an order. They promise to escalate the issue, I get a nice e-mail from them that a specialist will contact me then.... nothing.
It's especially fun to watch the cases show up occasionally as in stock.

Waiting for a decent dry screen protector, not too expensive (Like SGP's but I believe $15< is too much for one screen protector).
I got my SGP Protector and ruined it. So they're shipping me another one. The Ultra Fine is also fingerprint resistant so you pay for that feature over others.
I'm also waiting for my Poetic Smart case that is supposed to be shipping Aug 25th.
Right now I'm running in a Blurex folio and I like it, but its a little thick. I also have a TPU case but I need some more protection then that.

Anyone else in the same boat? Have you gotten the email from the escalation team yet? If so, how long did it take for them to contact you?
I am still waiting for the email the rep on the phone told me about last night. I explained that my speaker is too low compared to my GFs N7 and he mentioned a lot of people were complaining about this with the 16GB versions (go figure). He said that they'll ship me a new one and will send packaging labels to return this one. He said I should expect an email from Google some time this week and after that they'll send me the replacement with 1-day shipping. Is this accurate?
At least I can play around with the N7 for the time being. However, it's quite annoying knowing ill have to redo all my setup again. Só many apps, layout changes, settings changes, etc.
Oh well...
PS - Today at work I compared the screens between my 16GB and my coworkers 8GB and his was noticeably brighter when maxed out. Weird and sad that there is another thing I need to worry about now. I guess I expected these QC issues from Asus as an original Transformer owner.

I don't really mind the wait for my replacement. I just want some confirmation that they'll indeed be doing it. Don't want to run out of my grace period without getting to test out the second unit.

6pm tonight will be 48 hrs since I contacted them, I don't have high hopes of getting a proper 2nd email.
I called them on Tues about the lifted screen and I got an email from them earlier today about getting a replacement. It seems that I will have to order a new unit (my card will be AUTH but not charged) and then the replacement in. They need to get the device within 21 days so that my card doesn't get charged. I've already placed the order through a special URL and now just waiting to see when they will ship.

I ordered early but changed it from 8 to 16gb on the 12th, so I have another week to go. They wouldnt honor my original order date despite giving them more money.
I'm too busy looking for a job anyway. Seems veterans aren't as quickly hired as I had previously thought.
I waited 48 still no reply. I tried to call they tel have to wait for escalation team.

I contacted them on Tuesday sadly only a few hours after getting my N7. My speaker is defective as well, and like you said when I brought it up they mentioned its been coming up lately. Same deal, told me they would ship out a new one for me within 24hrs however they didn't mention anything about 1 day shipping. That would be great.
Just under 24hrs later last night I received two emails back including the return shipping label info and another with a link to a custom play store checkout with my 16gb replacement. I put in my order via the link they gave me but I was greeted with an error on the next page, however I promptly received an email confirming my order so I guess it went through anyways.
All that's left now is waiting to see when it ships..
I hope it's soon.

I was wondering if my 16GB version suffered from low volume levels. I'm still on the fence about it. That would be the only possible defect my device has.

I called Tuesday night (and I emailed them Tuesday afternoon). My Nexus 7 arrived with a cracked screen.
I just received the email from google. They sent me a RMA and a prepaid shipping label. There's also a link to have them send me a replacement unit.
The link takes me to my google wallet account, with a new 16 GB in the cart. They don't charge shipping or tax, but put a hold for $249 on your credit card. I have 21 days to return the defective Nexus 7.
I'm a little worried that I am basically buying a new Nexus 7, and not getting priority over someone who ordered today. If I have to wait 3-4 weeks, I will feel like google mislead me about this Nexus 7 replacement process.

Same thing through office Depot. They do next day shipping though but they do that ludicrous credit card hold. Probably the dumbest thing I've ever heard of and makes me not want to order online anymore. Walking into a store you don't pay shipping nor get a hold on your card. Very very inconvenient.

My issue is that there are many other online vendors that handle things fine... mainly Amazon.com. How google is handling this issue is terrible. "oh man, phones are getting flooded, TAKE DOWN THE SUPPORT NUMBER FROM OUR WEBSITE"
I have said this in other threads.... This is the last time I ever buy a device straight from google. Hardware issues can't be their fault 100%, stuff happens... It's how they are handling the problems that is frustrating.

This is what they told me that would happen. I'm still waiting for the RMA email but at least they are sending them out.
Bad news if you're technically buying a new one at zero price. Here in the UK, they've said that pre orders from June 30th are shipping next week, so I'm looking at a week Monday shipment at the earliest. Over a month since the initial order!
On a related note, just how low is this "low speaker volume" problem? I'd say mine isn't the loudest tablet ever, and now I'm wondering if it's possible to get one with louder volume. I have a tiny bit of screen separation and was going to keep mine (everything else is fine, and my screen's just the tiniest bit higher on the left than the right). However, if the volume is lower than it should be...
Also, anybody notice headphone volume also isn't very loud? Just loud enough to be acceptable, but not loud enough to be too loud. I'm used to devices starting to get too loud at about 75%.

I did receive all the emails in regards to the exchange, I'm just waiting on any sort of shipping notice. The only thing that bothers me is I checked my card and I have 3 pending charges from the play store in the amount of the tablet. Not just one, I know I won't be charged if I return the defective unit in 21 days but why 3 charges?

I ordered one on Monday after I unexpectedly sold my Touchpad. The Site said 1 to 2 weeks back ordered which I was fine with. The next day it changed to 3 to 5 or 2 to 4, I can't remember. Now it says coming soon with a notification sign up thing. I couldn't find any info on this because every news item is about the pre orders and Google isn't getting back to me. Anyone have an idea of when the next batch of 16s will ship?

A long time. The 16GB version has sold out practically everywhere worldwide so don't expect it to be soon. There is a very high demand for this tablet. I would say around 2-5 weeks you would have to wait for the device.
I ordered mine on the July 17th at a Staples store. It as in my hands by the July 20th.

I got mine the other day because I pre-ordered. Pretty much every (if not every) distributor is sold out now. The demand for the 16 gig model is HUGE. Google just van keep up.

I ordered mine through Walmart (online) on July 18, with promised delivery on July 25.
I called Google about this and they said it might come within the 3-4 weeks range because I was on the border of the pre-orders. Or he said it might come this weekend which it didn't. I ended up ordering from Macmall it said 2-3 days shipping. But it hasn't shipped yet so hopefully tomorrow it ships or I have a problem. I ordered from mac mall early Saturday morning.

this is the kind of tactics these suck people use.. The deal you describe could apply to any item from what im reading not Just this case.. So the case is not 1.99.. You title is very misleading..

the case was listed as 1.99 as an add on item, amazon has a add on item program where you basically get it at a promo price when you spend a certain amount
when you don't want to spend the 25 minimum you can still get the item by order it along with something that is a pre-order (such as GTA V), they will ship the case out first, charge you the 1.99 and then you can cancel the game pre-order, you do not get charged for the other item until they ship it, so you can cancel it as soon as you receive the case or even when they ship the case.
the result, you paid 1.99 for the case and they won't charge you for the other item since you cancel the pre-order
anyway, it is no longer as an add on item, the promo lasted only a couple hours
Just curious who all has received their email stating their phone is being assembled. I ordered 5 min after moto maker went live and didn't get mine yet. I know a person that ordered late Tuesday and got his email the next day and he got a wooden back. One other friend of mine got his email yesterday and he went with a leather back. I got a black plastic back on mine and figured it'd be quick but haven't heard anything yet. Just curious on everyone else's experience so far.

Same experience here a few phones ago. I actually got em on the phone & they were very dismissive, claiming the order was a pre-order & basically I'd get it whenever.....
If that's the case, the expedited shipping shouldn't even be available.
I filed a grievance/complaint w/PayPal & got my money back.
I'd try Gadget Shieldz..... good prices & high quality product.

They're based in India, so, if you're on the other side of the pond, expect three weeks for delivery. Upgraded shipping is basically tracked shipping... doesn't really cut down on shipping time, but, it's relatively inexpensive.
