Any body know how hard it is to change the battery display?
I preferred the display in BO 1.1 and was wondering if I can change just that piece easily?
If you have Rom Toolbox you can use the icon changer. There are a few different battery icons to choose from. I've used some of them on the Revolution. Just be sure to use the ones that have 1 percent increments, not 10 or 20.

any way to do it with just taking the file from another ROM and inserting into the current? similar to changing boot animations?
No. You have to edit the framework.apk. if you can get a copy of the framework.apk and the systemui.apk, then you can use uot kitchen. Just search xda and Google to find all the info you need

I was thinking about doing this already. Give me a few days until I have the time and I'll post a flashable zip so you can flash in the old battery icons. Do you have a preference for center or right aligned clock?

Awesome, no I don't. I noticed some people prefer the right align but I couldn't care less. I just really liked the accurate battery circle display from BO1.1 because it was easier for me to read and I liked the way it looked.
I almost have it ready to post, I'm just having a weird issue with the new icons being squished because they are wider than the icons in 2.0. I'm playing with some values, but I should have it posted by tonight.

When no one answered here, I decided to just get the sizes from screenshots. I'll repost here if no one has done so when I get the figures.
LOL, I usually only go to the screenshot page. I know if you go to the LauncherPro forum, they have the dock sizes there. Its the icons that are gonna be tricky!

I just meant that I will use a generic screenshot of the HTC Sense UI and measure the height of the dock, and the height/width of the icons and widgets. I would think that should work just fine... right?
Yeah, for the dock... text icons are tricky, that's what I was meaning! I made a simple dock the other day, it was 50h x 320w

3 things.
[to everyone else] 1. if the file dloads as ".bin" just rename the extension to ".apk" and install.
[to the Dev] 2. can i request a copy of this theme that still uses the vertical signal and wifi bars (they rocked)
3. cant wait when this gets a full battery percentage lol

Hey everyone, I've been working on a new rom for the Zio M6000. I'm starting from the stock rom and giving it a gingerbread look. This isn't just going to be a theme, I am working on adding parts of 2.3.3 into the stock rom.
I am working on getting rid of all the stock orange glow and changing it to a nice green. I'm aiming for a complete gingerbread experience, I've added multiple tweaks and have tested them for a while and this is turning out pretty nice so far. I was just wondering if there was anyone that has experience in graphics that could help speed up the process of this project?
Sent from my Zio using xda premium
What exactly do you need? I am pretty good with PS
I need every orange highlight needs to be green. The whole UI needs to be re-worked. The stock services.jar needs the Roaming indicator taken out, the time needs to be changed to the same shade of green as the rest of the rom.

Thanks. Where can I change the time color, I need to change it to A0E000 to match the rest of the icons.
This rom is going to take some work since a lot of apks need some graphic work to get all notification icons match the theme.
I've already started working on Settings.apk and added a new option under wireless networks then mobile networks... now there is a dormancy timer but I have no clue what it does.

It's not in framework-res.apk? I believe the dormancy timer is how long of a 'no communication' period it takes before you stop sending data packets to whatever you're doing. After it goes dormant, you have to re-ping, re-connect, etc.
Sent from my Droid using XDA Premium App
My time only changed colors after flashing the openzio services.jar
And the dormancy timer isn't sticking, is there something that should be in the build.prop that will make it stick?
Sent from my Zio using xda premium
Not that I'm aware of. I wouldn't think editing these values holds much worth as far as battery life, though. We're talking minutes of battery life per charge, and editing them any lower could lead to increased data usage which isn't really a problem because of the ability to remove the throttling services), but will also lead to longer page-load times, all due to having to constantly reconnect to the server (I'm under the assumption that it's measured in seconds).

Are you basically just theming the stock cricket 2.2.1 rom to look like Sense 2.1?
O.O
I can do that EASY bro! Except I won't be able to complete the lock screen. May I help?
EDIT: What I'll need is a 2.1 sense rom with our phones resolution and I the rom's dev's permission to use it's images for a theme. From there on I can easily un-pack the .apk/.jar/etc files and replace the images and also edit some xml files and BOOM! There's "froyobread"
So is this a usable Rom?

Basically this will change anything in SystemUI to stock gingervolt but will leave the rest of what was themed just throwing it out there If anyone wants to implement it in a theme just ask..also your Battery won't look like that unless you are on revocomb THIS WAS MEANT TO BE FLASHED OVER STOCK GINGERVOLT 1.3

A know issue as of right now is if you get that many notifications they will over lap the clock also the text like you have recieved a new text message will over lap im working on that but i have to go for now.
I have removed the blur from the background when using the power menu will post the zip in a little while

Ive attached my framework-res, systemUI, and RES_cappuccino. its a custom status bar and a very few other changes because stock matches this small little theme well. ive just been putting the files into the gingervolt 1.3 zip and flashing it because im new at this and have no idea how to make a flashable zip :/
G4 you should start a new thread on this and continue building upon it! Also just take my original zip for center clock mod open it as archive add a new folder inside the system folder name it app put SystemUI.apk in that and take RES_cappuccino.apk and put it in the framework folder with the framework-res.apk then go to the end of the META-INF folder tree edit the updater script where it says ui print inside the " and make it say what you want it to then create a new zip file rename to what you want it to be and move the everything out of the center clock mod zip into the new one you created and if you did it right it will flash in clockwork mod but creating a new zip after you change the updater script is a must because when you edit that file in the original zip it will break it. Also if you want hop on irc sometime and I would be happy to wall you through it. It really isn't hard. I was hoping someone would take that and do something with it the only reason I created it was for a baseline for someone to start something sweet on.
