Bluetooth Headset / Handsfree - LG Optimus Black

I have purchased a new bluetooth headset.
The headset is compliant with Bluetooth Specification 2.1 supporting Headset profiles 1.1 and Hands-Free Profiles 1.5.
However, my Optimus black is unable to detect this device. I have switched on the bluetooth device and it is charged properly.
Earlier when I had purchased the Optimus Black, I got another bluetooth headset but encountered the same problem. That time I thought that perhaps the bluetooth headset was defective.
I am able to pair my Optimus Black with any other device like Laptops/Cellphones.
I have not tested the Bluetooth headset with any other cellphone.
Optimus Specs:
Android 2.3.4, Baseband XMM6160, Kernel 2.6.35, Build GRJ22, Software LG-P970-V20e
Please help.
Thanks in Advance

Have you put the headset in discovery mode ? Read the instructions of the headset as how to do so.
If not the phone cant see it . Once paired than you just connect .

Thanks for the response.
As per the headset manual instructions, I have tried with the discovery mode ON (when the LED blinks Blue light). I have even tried by setting the phone too in discovery mode.
Pairing up handsfree should not be very complex issue unless there is some bug.
But the problem persists.
I wish to know if anyone in this forum has encountered such bug/problem or if anyone is actually using bluetooth handsfree then how?

I want to buy an Bluetooth Headset too, any option that works?

for bluetooth, my nokia bh(i dont know what) works well
my friend's sony works and many others

iam not familiar with bluetooth headsets so want to know does OB bluetooth is specific or any device's bluetooth can be used ?

try other bt handset

Hello,
My OB with Zeus works perfectly with my Bluetooth Parrot CK3100 in my car.
At the beginning it did not work and I searched a long time.
Actually when you when to pair your OB to your BT device, there is a small notification (in the scrolling bar) asking you if you agree to connect. Then you have to enter a PIN code of your BT device.
In my case, I missed this message the first time.
Good luck

Problem Bluetooth Manager forgets paired devices

Hi all,
i recently upgraded my qtek 9090 to 1.42 (Tmobile posted BA_TMNL_14200_115_11300_Ship). I have major problems connecting to my handsfree set in my car. The first try to connect is successfull. I can pair with the handsfree device, enter the security code and everything is fine. The device appears in bluetooth manager under paired devices.
After disonnecting the paired devices rapidly gets lost. After that, theres no chance to connect to the device again. The only chance is to delete the bluetooth device in the manager and pair it again.
Despite to this, if have no problems with my gps mouse. Security is disabled, the device also don't appears in paired devices
Has anyone an idea ?
BT Version is 1.0.0 3900
I think I found the problem. Seems, that my handsfree set in my car still had the connect information of the former installation and I still use the same name for bluetooth. The handsfree set can save the connect information of 3 devices and two of them had now the same name but different id's. Seems, that was the problem. I'll test it for some days, but I'm sure, that was the solution
have fun
BT headset is paired but gets lost
my MDAIII has just been updated to the latest Tmobile upgrade.
Everything works ok. BT headset pairs and when i make a call i can speak. But when i receive a call the connection with the headset has a '?'
Now i first have to search to get a connection.
It's like it switches off the BT Headset connection when I receive a call.
Does anyone know how to solve this?

Unable to correctly pair Samsung WEP200 to Diamond

As the subject states I am only having partial success with pairing my Samsung WEP200 bluetooth headset to my HTC Diamond. The volume up/down on the headset turns the volume up down on the phone. However if you make any calls the headset or mic on the earpiece does not appear to work.
The odd thing is during pairing the phone never actually asks for the pairing code (which is 0000) when it was previously used on an O2 Orbit the device worked fine and asked for the code when initially paired.
I have since retested the bluetooth with the orbit and the bluetooth still works correctly.
One other point I will mention I have flashed my phone with Duttys 1.6 (amongst others I have tried) in a hope of eventually sorting out my lag with gps on tomtom 7 and igo8, but surely this isn't the reason I cannot succesfully pair the headset?

Still the same problem for me, even if this previous message is quite old now...
My wep 200 works perfectly fine on my ex-device (SE) but when I paired it with me HTC Desire, the mic on the earpiece does not appear to work !
I'm running the official Froyo 2.2 version, but the problem occured also on the 2.1.
The device needn't the code neither when appairing
Please give me some clues, because this headset is really great, and I don't feel incline to change it.
Thank you very much for your help !

[Q] Bluetooth Headset for Elocity A7

I'm new at this, but i've scanned over and read everywhere looking for a solution, but to get to the point, is there anyone that has found a stereo bluetooth headset that works on the A7?
I bought a GoGroove Airband headset in hopes that it would be compatible, it says it's A2DP, and the Elocity website says that devices with that profile should work. I'm currently using Dexter's 1.2, and i've tried the official firmware release from elocity as well with no success. Most all of the bluetooth devices with the exception of my Samsung cellphone have been in the "Paired but not connected" loop. It essentially just keeps trying to reconnect.
Am i doing something wrong or is this maybe something that can be fixed in a later mod from dexter
Sorry to make this drag out but I would just like to know if anyone has been able to get their bluetooth headsets/devices to work and what devices/brands they used or tried.
Thanks in advance

I have been using the Motorola S305. It connects briefly the first few times but eventually on the third or fourth try the connection sticks.
Ive been wondering about those, but from what I have read, only the headphone (stereo) part would be a2dp compatible. The mic parts probably use HFP, HSP or AVRCP.
I picked up this headset because of you. I love it! Big ups brother!
motorola knockoff S9 doesn't work.
I have 3 s9/hd from dealextreme.com. $22ea. They pair but do not connect. Insignia headset works great, as does motorola dc800 and sony car stereo.
The Firmware Update from 2/24/11 has resolved the issue with the GoGroove Airband headphones. They now Pair and connect without problems.
I have been using Insignia NS-BTHDP Bluetooth from best buy (I think you still can get them on ebay) and they work fine, I am using dexter mod 1.1
I have s9 HD from moto they work just fne and I'm using dex 1.3

i tested my bluetooth device and it works on my sgs and itouch
i tested my galaxy note bluetooth to pair with sgs and it works

I remember I had this problem with Sennheisser MM100 headphones a while back. From memory I unpaired and removed the device, then re-paired the phones. I may have done a reboot of the note after I unpaired the device, can't remember as it was a long time ago. I have not had a problem since.
I have the same problem as kwelito_88. I managed to use my Creative WP-250 headset for just 3 weeks before it decided to stay mumb on me.
I "unpair" the headset with my phone but now my phone just couldn't see this headset when it scans for devices.
Any one out there know how to get both gadgets working again? Thanks.
Do you have a BT laptop you can try pairing your Note with? If it works that will rule out the Note as the problem.
You've probably already fully charged the headset and checked that they are definitely in pairing mode so that the Note can see them? My Sennheisers are bit touchy and didn't go into pairing mode properly until I pressed harder on the switch button.

Thanks! I can now confirm the Note is not the problem.. it pair & connect to my BT laptop easily.. So the Creative wp-250 headset is where the fault is. Guess I won't be looking at Creative products for a while.
Thanks for the tip
Hmm. I have a duff/non-compliant Jabra headset too. That tip with pairing with "known good" worked a treat.

Lg optimus on Pioneer MVH8300BT

Hello guys.
I have an Optimus 2x with:
cyanogenmod 7 2.6.32.55
Base band 1035.21_20110725
I am very happy with this rom in almost every way.
But i have a problem.
In my car i have installed a Pioneer MVH8300BT.
In this incar media player there is parrot integrated.
So when i am driving my phone connects to my incar
media player trough bluetooth.
My problems with this is:
1. My phones bluetooth device has to be on before i start my car
so the phone can connect MVH8300BT. If this is not done,
the phone will not connect automaticly. I have to do it all manually.
2. when i am calling from phone connected to MVH8300BT, my voice in the other end is like i am speaking from under water/ or as there is somthing
in the background. This is how my girlfriend has described it.
Do you guys think this is my phone doing this?
Or is this the MVH8300BT fault?
Regards Morten
