Why I'm never buying anything from Tesco Direct again - Nexus 7 General

23/07: It was night time and I'd saved up the money to buy myself a Nexus 7. Great. I ordered my Nexus 7 16GB from the Tesco Direct website and set it to collect at the store for the 25th.
25/07: I collect my Nexus 7 and everything seems to be fine. At night, I realised that I had the screen separation issue and I decided I'd call Tesco the next morning.
26/07: The guy on the other end of the phone was helpful and said that I would have a replacement Nexus 7 the next day and all I had to do was wait for the Tesco delivery man to arrive and we'd trade at the door. (Lie 1)
27/07: I wasn't home so my mum gives the delivery man the defective Nexus 7 to the delivery guy who said that his colleague would come around with the replacement soon. (Lie 2)
I came home and knew that something was wrong so I called up Tesco who told me that it was never loaded into the lorry (Lie 3) but they'd call me back soon. Half an hour later, I get a call saying that it was a driver error and "it will be with me any minute now". (Lie 4) Yeah right.
28/07: The Nexus 7 still hasn't arrived so I call up Tesco and they told me that the Nexus 7 was never loaded onto the lorry. What a bunch of crap. So they've got my money and my Nexus 7 but tell me that they don't know when I'd be getting my Nexus 7. It could be next week for all they know. So I arrange a refund which will process on Wednesday at the earliest, then I'll purchase the Nexus 7 elsewhere.
Anyone in the UK who's reading this, don't be afraid to buy a Nexus 7 from Tesco but make sure you collect it from their store and not at your house. The delivery company are a joke, the aftersales service was pretty crap. Overall, my advice is to get your Nexus 7 from CPW.

You were just stitched up by the courier. Not Tesco Direct's doing there.
I had two replacements sent out by Tesco Direct , both swapped at the door without any hassle.
My third one is a keeper.

But Tesco chose those guys for delivery. Why couldn't they just deliver it themselves? Or hire a company that's a little better.

Most stores are not in the delivery business... they use delivery companies to do that. As to choice, they may not have a choice that works for the price they sold you the product for.

Seems like you got unlucky. I asked for a replacement from Tesco & the guy came and delivered my second one but didn't take away the first. I've had to arrange for that to be picked up again (supposedly yesterday) & again it didn't get picked up. Useless courier they use!
Sadly the second one still has issues so I'm thinking I'll just take them both back into a store & demand a refund.

Ditto apart from the second defective unit.
Courier (Yodel) didn't have an RMA label so he left the new one and agreed that I'd re-arrange collection.
Was just going to take it away, like, no.
I also had a late delivery for the replacement as the order was put through after 3pm which is the next day cut off point.
Replacement unit seems ok but Tesco have a 28 day no quibble returns policy.

10 days actually on kit with memory in. For reasons that I cannot fathom....

Tesco are indeed useless.
I bought one which had screen lift.
Tried to take it back to the store I got it from but they would not accept a return as they did not have a Tesco Direct desk.
Sent me physically to a store with a Tesco Direct Desk.
They would not accept a return because it was not from their store.
They arranged a courier to pick up from my house... or didn't because the courier was not booked.
I called again and booked a courier - who did not turn up.
I called again and booked another courier - who also did not turn up.
I phoned them and they said my options were a store of a courier ... but neither are viable.
Total nightmare to deal with. Never again.

And your surprised??

Was it YODEL that done your delivery?
They are usually good, your local hub is just poor. If I were you, i'd put something in writing that they can pass on.

Really don't understand this. It must be a regional thing, it has to be.
Here, I got two next day swap outs to my door and third delivery all one time when they said. The driver showed up at 10am each time too.

Is a regional thing, my Yodel office is great.
I'm going to go for a third swap out and if the third device is a POS I'm staying away until xmas.

The returns part ... is nothing to do with the tech.... it could have been a sofa or a bicycle. The subtle nuances of the technology were nothing to do with the fact that the couriers do not turn up.
Oh and I think Tesco CS also tell porkies. Because they told me that they had done something that was flatly contradicted by another Tesco employee.

Ordered mine from TD to pick up in store as got a tenner off, was supposed to be there yesterday after 4, it didn't arrive as yodel are delivering it to the store?
Spoke to TD today, and they don't seem to know their arse from their elbow frankly, I think I might see if I can get one elsewhere at full price and ring TD to cancel

If Tesco Direct place an item onto the delivery system after 3pm then next day becomes the day after because even at 1 minute after 3pm it is past the cut off for next day delivery.
It's called a cut off point for a reason.
That said, the people working the phones at Tesco Direct ought to a) know this and b) ought to explain explain this to the customers.
They also ought to issue a tracking number without being asked for one.
They don't do that because when you ring up to ask WTF is my item you dial an 0845 number and Tesco gets a slice of the revenue.
Every Little Helps, right ?
So, to recap: Order in the am, not the pm, ask for a tracking number to ensure that it's been entered onto the system.
When returning an item you have to label it up, Yodel don't have return shipping stickers.
The whole process is disjointed as fook but their returns policy is quite good and they have stock.

So I requested an exchange from the PS...

Anyone else in the same boat? Have you gotten the email from the escalation team yet? If so, how long did it take for them to contact you?
I am still waiting for the email the rep on the phone told me about last night. I explained that my speaker is too low compared to my GFs N7 and he mentioned a lot of people were complaining about this with the 16GB versions (go figure). He said that they'll ship me a new one and will send packaging labels to return this one. He said I should expect an email from Google some time this week and after that they'll send me the replacement with 1-day shipping. Is this accurate?
At least I can play around with the N7 for the time being. However, it's quite annoying knowing ill have to redo all my setup again. Só many apps, layout changes, settings changes, etc.
Oh well...
PS - Today at work I compared the screens between my 16GB and my coworkers 8GB and his was noticeably brighter when maxed out. Weird and sad that there is another thing I need to worry about now. I guess I expected these QC issues from Asus as an original Transformer owner.

Nice! Wish they would fulfill my order before sending you a second one though... no offense.
I don't really mind the wait for my replacement. I just want some confirmation that they'll indeed be doing it. Don't want to run out of my grace period without getting to test out the second unit.
I'm sure you'll be getting yours soon.
6pm tonight will be 48 hrs since I contacted them, I don't have high hopes of getting a proper 2nd email.
I called them on Tues about the lifted screen and I got an email from them earlier today about getting a replacement. It seems that I will have to order a new unit (my card will be AUTH but not charged) and then the replacement in. They need to get the device within 21 days so that my card doesn't get charged. I've already placed the order through a special URL and now just waiting to see when they will ship.

Oh, I completely understand. Mostly just poking fun anyway
I ordered early but changed it from 8 to 16gb on the 12th, so I have another week to go. They wouldnt honor my original order date despite giving them more money.
I'm too busy looking for a job anyway. Seems veterans aren't as quickly hired as I had previously thought.
I waited 48 still no reply. I tried to call they tel have to wait for escalation team.

I contacted them on Tuesday sadly only a few hours after getting my N7. My speaker is defective as well, and like you said when I brought it up they mentioned its been coming up lately. Same deal, told me they would ship out a new one for me within 24hrs however they didn't mention anything about 1 day shipping. That would be great.
Just under 24hrs later last night I received two emails back including the return shipping label info and another with a link to a custom play store checkout with my 16gb replacement. I put in my order via the link they gave me but I was greeted with an error on the next page, however I promptly received an email confirming my order so I guess it went through anyways.
All that's left now is waiting to see when it ships..
I hope it's soon.

I was wondering if my 16GB version suffered from low volume levels. I'm still on the fence about it. That would be the only possible defect my device has.

I called Tuesday night (and I emailed them Tuesday afternoon). My Nexus 7 arrived with a cracked screen.
I just received the email from google. They sent me a RMA and a prepaid shipping label. There's also a link to have them send me a replacement unit.
The link takes me to my google wallet account, with a new 16 GB in the cart. They don't charge shipping or tax, but put a hold for $249 on your credit card. I have 21 days to return the defective Nexus 7.
I'm a little worried that I am basically buying a new Nexus 7, and not getting priority over someone who ordered today. If I have to wait 3-4 weeks, I will feel like google mislead me about this Nexus 7 replacement process.

Same thing through office Depot. They do next day shipping though but they do that ludicrous credit card hold. Probably the dumbest thing I've ever heard of and makes me not want to order online anymore. Walking into a store you don't pay shipping nor get a hold on your card. Very very inconvenient.

My issue is that there are many other online vendors that handle things fine... mainly Amazon.com. How google is handling this issue is terrible. "oh man, phones are getting flooded, TAKE DOWN THE SUPPORT NUMBER FROM OUR WEBSITE"
I have said this in other threads.... This is the last time I ever buy a device straight from google. Hardware issues can't be their fault 100%, stuff happens... It's how they are handling the problems that is frustrating.

This is what they told me that would happen. I'm still waiting for the RMA email but at least they are sending them out.
Bad news if you're technically buying a new one at zero price. Here in the UK, they've said that pre orders from June 30th are shipping next week, so I'm looking at a week Monday shipment at the earliest. Over a month since the initial order!
On a related note, just how low is this "low speaker volume" problem? I'd say mine isn't the loudest tablet ever, and now I'm wondering if it's possible to get one with louder volume. I have a tiny bit of screen separation and was going to keep mine (everything else is fine, and my screen's just the tiniest bit higher on the left than the right). However, if the volume is lower than it should be...
Also, anybody notice headphone volume also isn't very loud? Just loud enough to be acceptable, but not loud enough to be too loud. I'm used to devices starting to get too loud at about 75%.

The only thing that bothers me is I checked my card and I have 3 pending charges from the play store in the amount of the tablet. Not just one, I know I won't be charged if I return the defective unit in 21 days but why 3 charges?

Called Google regarding the screen on my N7

So I called Google this morning, yes on a Sunday, and was getting ready for one of those phone fights (well more like an argument over the phone, the kind you have when you call your cell provider for additional charges or handset replacement). We all hate those calls because they end up with bad news most of the time. Anyways my new toy, the NEXUS 7, started to make little creaking noises, like when you step on hard wood floors, every time I dragged my finger towards the left side of the screen(holding it portrait). I was reading online about all those problems they were having and was sad to see that mine was like some others I seen online. I was disappointed and to add more to it it started bleeding light on both sides but more on the left. So back to the call. I was expecting for an automated message or a long menu that was going to end up telling me to call during businesses hours. To my surprise I was on hold for like 5 minutes and talked to a real person that was so pleasant to talk to. I stated my reason for calling, he asked for my Goggle account and said "sorry for the inconvenience we will send out a new one to you and you'll get a label with return information to send the bad unit back". I was speechless............ no fight, no wait, no long story, no problem at all. Dam today is a great day. Great Sunday.
So I just wanted to say if you got a bad unit Google will happily replace it. I'm sure its going to take like a week or two because their sold out but hey, I'm not complaining. Just call the NEXUS help line bellow and that's it.

But you have to wait until a "tech" reviews the case though and they will send you an RMA email right? Because I did the same thing last night and was told I will be contacted by someone who reviews the case...
They said I'll get a conformation email from a tech and that's it.

I just gave Google a call after reading your post and got a rep in under a minute. I told him my N7 had the screen separation issue and he said they'd start the replacement process no problem. He said that they'd be emailing me in the next day or two to confirm some details and they'd send me a replacement soon. He also said that the 16 GB model being backordered wouldn't delay the shipment of my replacement.

I have the same problem. And yes I too was told that I would get a new N7, but only after my case was reviewed. The rep I spoke to said that I would receive an email or call. To the original poster, you may want to give Google a call back just to verify the process.

I had the same problem but 1000 tomes work screen was jumbles and rotating and screwed and they shipped it out Friday over night and I'll get it Monday from what I know they have a "secret stash" so they can handle any faulty units.
So I requested an RMA Thursday night for the screen lift issue and finally got the instructions for the replacement unit this morning. I'm wondering, has anyone had their replacement unit shipped out yet? I'm in no rush, but the instructions do say I have 21 days from replacement "purchase" to return the faulty unit. I was hoping to keep using my current unit until the replacement unit arrives, but with the shipping fiasco going on, I wonder if I'll get it before the 21 days is over.
I was confused about that.
The email I got from Google Play support says I have 21 days from the date of the delivery:
RETURN YOUR ORIGINAL DEVICE
You’ll need to return your original device to our service center. Additional charges for the full price of the device will be incurred if our service center doesn’t receive your original device within 21 days of your replacement delivery

But my Google Play receipt for the replacement says 21 days from the date of the order:

I guess I'll do it within 21 days of the order just to be safe.
Anyway, I placed the order for a replacement on the 19th and it hasn't shipped yet.
I just got off the phone with Google support...was on hold waiting for someone to pick up for about 5 minutes. Everything went very smooth they're sending me a replacement device. He said it will take 2-3 days to process and then my replacement will be shipped. He also said sorry for the inconvenience he understands my frustration Lol......he stated that it was a manufacturing problem with the screens

When you factor in the number of people on these forums having issues vs the millions they manufacturered and sent out, it's still a small blip on the radar. At least they're taking care of the issue instead of just sending everybody a rubber case to band-aid the problem.:laugh::laugh:
Yeah, for those who don't know, their support line, at least in the US, is open 24/7. I don't know if it's temporary for the launch or permanent, but the rep I talked to the other day said call whenever you feel like it and to try to avoid peak times.
I was so surprised with their customer service too! They were...pleasant. Crazy, I know lol I've called twice in the last couple of weeks and the reps were extremely helpful both times. Google gets a +1 for the good customer service! (even if it does take forever to get connected to somebody lol)

But my Google Play receipt for the replacement says 21 days from the date of the order:
I guess I'll do it within 21 days of the order just to be safe.
Anyway, I placed the order for a replacement on the 19th and it hasn't shipped yet.

Gamestop Returns

So my nexus 7 has a little bit of screen lift and also the screen flickering issue, so I think I may need to replace it. I bought it from Gamestop on July 17. Has anybody had any experience returning their Nexus 7 to Gamestop? How should I go about getting an exchange?
I bought from GS but no problem that I noticed thus far

Call them and they will get you one top priority. Google would do a mail exchange if you wish but gs will take care of you.
Sent from my Nexus 7 using xda app-developers app
Yea definitely let them know. I let them know Wednesday in the morning and by Thursday morning google had already shipped them my new unit! a lot quicker than i thought it would take.
Thanks for the responses. So the way to go is to call GS?
Also, I have an XOSkin screen protector on it. I bought it from them based off the excellent customer service reviews they had, so is there any way I can get a new one from them? If I need to, I guess I can always pull it off and reapply?

Seeing as most gamestops don't have an exchange stock. You either have the manager at your local GameStop handle it. He speaks to his superiors and try to get an exchange sent out.
OR you call GameStop 1800 number and in my case they told ,e the district manager will call me in a few days to discuss options including getting a new tablet shipped from another GameStop in order to be able to conduct my exchange.
In both cases they were very clear in telling me that even if the 30 day exchange period passes they would still honor my exchange since there is no immediate stock available.
Hopefully the next wave of shipments hits in august. I remember my original receipt have a date of august 7.

Honestly my biggest concern is that I am a student and I am leaving to go back to school in a couple of weeks and I want to get that done before I move.
The store I purchased my Nexus 7 from told me no later than August 7. So my guess is that round 2 is coming on or before AUG 7.
I went to my gamestop 7 days after I bought it, on launch day, told them my issue and the guy first called around to other stores to see if they had any and when that failed he said he would "email the supplier and get one for me". That was Friday the 20th and on Wednesday afternoon he called and said that my replacement came in, so it took 5 days of which only 3 were "business days". Alot of people complain about Gamestop but I've had nothing but good experiences with them.
So I contacted my gamestop and they told me august 7.
I called google play customer service and they told me to call Asus or Gamestop.
I called asus and they told me that they would not replace the tablet, only fix it.
Anybody else know how I can get a replacement tablet ASAP?

Did you walk into the actual store?
I went to the store brought my nexus and told them whats up. He let me know that he didnt have any stock to exchange me with so they have to send an RMA to google. He did the request on the spot, and calls me 2 hours later letting me know google is sending me one asap. Then i get a call the next morning stating that I can exchange.
Thats it.
Easy as pie, no arguing.. (hell it was a wake and bake morning so i definitely was loopy.. ) and my new one is a little bit newer based on serial number.. so it was all good.
Good luck

I just called the 800 number for gamestop a few days ago and got a call personally from the district manager today. She told me that they had none in stock in the area but for the next wave they'll be able to swap it for me which would be about august 12. She got my number down and will contact me as soon as either a) preorder isn't picked up or b) the next wave hits with extras for walk ins.
Either way going past the 30 day period will have no effect on your exchange policy wince they have no stock.
Btw the district manager herself has one on reserve and hasn't been able to get one yet.

I did walk into the store. Basically the guy told me that they have nothing in stock, and won't have any until August 7, so currently there is nothing to exchange it with. I'll have to go again and ask about an RMA to google.

Yea first time I called he mentioned I should call other gamestops in the area and if I still couldn't find one to call back to discuss options. I think next time you call you should mention that you have already checked local gamestops and they are all out of stock. Also mention that you are worried about the 30 day exchange period expiring.

I did exactly what you said. There were none available in the area. I spoke to a customer service manager and he said he was going to forward my info to a district manager.
I am pretty mad at GS's customer service at this point. They clearly do not know how to handle exchanges and have pretty terrible service. I was on the phone for an hour (not exaggerating) and was speaking to a person for probably only 20 min. The rest was on hold.
Anybody have any other tips/ideas for getting this exchanged fast? The district manager is supposed to call me by Wednesday, but I already know that it is going to be a mess since I will be at work, and I won't have access to my phone.

Their customer service has been great with me. Odd that you've had a bad experience. The issue at hand is that they don't have any in stock to exchange until the next wave. I was given the option of flat out returning it if I didn't want to wait but I don't mind sticking with GameStop especially how helpful they've been with me. If you are unhappy and truly want a new nexus 7 quickly I would suggest returning it and getting your money back then proceed to buy it elsewhere perhaps.

Well you can't blame them for it being a hot item and not having stock to swap it with. Just get your money back and order from the play store. Its what I did with Staples... Ordered Tuesday and delivered Thursday.
Staples do have 8gb in stock though.

I tried that, and the customer service rep quoted their return policy for tablets: No returns/refunds, exchanges only. I am just hoping when I get to speak with the district manager things go better.
If anyone is curious, or in the same situation as I am, just get in touch with the district manager ASAP. The customer service people on the 800 number from gamestop is worthless. The DM fixed everything.

To those who rejected their parcel - refunds?

Hi guys,
I know a fair few of us have rejected their parcels because we were unable to cancel orders via Google Play.
My order was returned to Computer 2000 (in the UK) and signed for by them on the 19th, however to date I have received no communication from them and no refund.
Have any of you that have rejected your parcels received your refund or any other communication from Google?
Thanks,
Chris

I never actually received mine as they messed up address label and TNT refused to let me tell them full address and then returned it before I had chance to go to depot to collect. I emailed Google at this point (through order page) on 20th and parcel was signed for by Computer 2000 on 24th so I emailed Google again on 27th, having heard nothing, and have no reply yet. I have managed to pick up a Nexus 7 in Curry's in the meantime so just want my money back.

Not great is it? Mine's been with them for 10 days now (weekend included) and I'd expect to have at least received an acknowledgment e-mail to say they'd received for the parcel.

Mine has also been back with Google for over a week and no word. If my phone call to them is in event full I will just file a claim with my bank.

Yes I too am having problems getting a refund they have had mine back for a week this can't be write they better get my money back soon or gonna speak to my bank.
Just phoned Google... They will not consider even looking at my case until the 8th August passes. Considering they received it back on the 19th July, I'd call it appalling service.
At least Amazon and the like acknowledge receipt of a returned parcel - Google's complete lack of communication has ruined the customer experience. I'll never order anything direct from them again.

16gb google nexus 7.
Same situation here. I might just log a request with the credit card company anyway, force them to act.
I only actually got charged 4 days after my delivery refusal had returned to the depot somewhere in leicester (this was a separate charge to the other three or four pending charges that had fallen off my credit card) . I spoke to someone last Friday who said it would be sorted ASAP, he said it was the first time he had seen this happen, but nothing done since.
I got one from GameStop on the first day they were available. Google received my pre-order back on the 19th. I called Google & they said it could take up to 14 days to process the returned order & issue a refund. Still waiting...

You have to be refunded within 30 days of you notifying of the order cancellation, regardless of whether you have returned item or not.
http://oft.gov.uk/business-advice/treating-customers-fairly/dshome/dsrexplained
I am in the US and I refused the delivery about a week ago. I had ordered a case with it and still haven't gotten the case. Back before I had refused the shipment I had sent an email about being able to keep the case and just send the Nexus 7 back. But then I found a different case and decided I would just refused it all. Well then they split the order and the case is in limbo somewhere I guess. Anyway, I got an email a coupel of days ago with RMA instructions for the Nexus 7. It was in response to my question about opening the package and taking out the case. So I sent them back the tracking numbers what showed the refused delivery and acceptance back at the shipping origin. I also asked if they could just not send the case that is still pending and just issue me my refund. I haven't heard back.
It was easy to refuse delivery, I have the free MyUPS service. When I got the package shipment notification from UPS I went in and had them hold it at the location. Since I probably wouldn't be home when it was delivered I would have had to drive it there anyway. There wasn't any option to refuse. It seemed the day before or maybe it was the day it was it the location I looked at the delivery options and there was a "Refuse" option. I chose that and they sent it back. Didn't have to drive out of my way to the UPS location or anything. I plan on doing the same if they ever send me the case.

But it's not a cancelled order. You rejected their shipment. They can take as long as they please to "process it"
And for those of you thinking of filing with your credit card company or bank: good luck. Banks and credit card companies are notorious for providing extremely slow assistance for disputed claims. They will likely go to the retailer and give them like 60 days or something insane like that to respond before they do anything.
contact number for Google (UK)?
Sounds like I am just one of many who is experience a total lack of service or concern from Google?
TNT didn't manage to show up when I was home and wasn't allowed to deliver to the neighbour (although the package my misses got from TNT the same day was dropped off just fine); TNT failed to bring out the package when I arranged for redelivery (5 days after the initial drop-off) and only other option would have been a Saturday delivery, which turned out to be a no-go due to the Olympics (yes, I am located smack in the middle of London .. "yay").
Had no option but refuse delivery and have so far heard NOTHING!
Over the course of the last week I have used the google wallet email form 5 times and not received ANY response; I have tried the phone number on top of the page twice and gotten a fax/modem (+353 (1) 436 1001).
I am at this moment beyond pissed!
ANYONE have a valid (UK) number to contact these people?
I would have expected A LOT better service from a company like Google, but when (if?) I ever get my £209 back, I guess they've thoroughly proven to me that I'll be better off with an iPad - by the time the 7" iPad will be on the market anyway.
Oh well *sigh*

Google...Forever to Get Refund

Bought two Nexus 5. One black for myself, and white for my wife. Wifey doesn't like it. She's surgically attached to her iPhone.
Anyways, I've returned her Nexus 5 to Google. It has been 3 weeks now, and still no refund. I call them every week to check up on the status. Always same answer "refund is being processed". BS.
Just keep at it. It ended up taking me 1 month for a Nexus 7 (2012) LTE return. Still better than the 7 weeks I've been waiting for Motorola to refund a Moto X return!
Mine took a week to refund after they received it and then another week to hit my credit card, the holidays maybe.
Surprisingly they won't email you to tell you you're being refunded just look at the original transaction.
They told me 10 to 14 days business days from when they received the defective unit. The hold on my card was was placed on Nov 9. It is now Dec 5 and still no refund. If you factor in the holiday and the business only days. It'll be 14 days on Friday. So even though it was practicality a whole month. The 14 days are just coming up. I guess I'll worry if tomorrow passes and nothing happens.
Google got to be the worse F*CKing company to get a refund.
Inquired again this morning. Got a reply that they "have confirmed receipt of the device at our return processing center". So, where's my refund?
It's been more than three weeks, since I shipped the device back.

It's the busiest time of the year, hence other people got refunded faster.
That's the one reason I was a little hesitant to order from Google.
With Apple if there is an issue I was always able to just walk into a store and resolve.
Luckily my phone was excellent and everything went smooth.

They only pay for shipping for RMA's. With returns for refunds Google will subtract from your credit based on what shipping you payed for initially for your order.
So with my refund Google actually charged me $13.99 for the 2nd Day UPS shipping (which I paid for when I ordered), yet the RMA shipping back to them was only UPS Ground. So why do they get to charge me more for a service they're actually not using?

Don't spread false info...
I've returned items to Apple including a 5S recently and I've always been refunded in less than 48 hours back to my debit, or right away in cash.
The only time I've ever heard of any store giving you a gift card is if you somehow paid by cash and didn't have a receipt to prove purchase upon return.
I've RMA a nexus 4 last year... It took almost 6 month for google to "free" my money....
Yea... They are on the slow side.....

In my case I ordered 2 phones (2 32gb black) and they shipped a total of 9 phones to me. Thankfully UPS refused the shipment as I requested but Google received the phones 11/14 and still no refund on the 7 phones I didn't order. Disputed the charges through BOA but still my card is hosed until long after Christmas thanks to Google's incompetence.
WHAT?!?! You seriously ordered 2 phones and got NINE? And they charged you for them all. Holy crap. You could probably sue them. I've seen it done over less, l.m.f.a.o.
Wow 9 phones man that's nuts

Edit so not OT: I ordered a 32G white from play store on launch. Saw mine wouldn't even ship until late Nov-early Dec so I canceled it (before it shipped). Ended up waiting however long until T-Mobile got them in stock and grabbed it there. As far as Google's delay for returning my dough to the bank. They said usually no more than 2-3 business days, but as per their refund/return policy it could take a MAXIMUM of 14 business days. Though the rep said she never heard of anyone having to wait that long. Took them 6 business days. Almost hit that half way mark

That's true. Love Apple for that adjust.
Bought an IPad Mini last year. Wasn't impressed with the display. RequestED RMA, free FedEx overnight back, got refund 24hrs later. Bam, done deal!
They are taking forever with my refund as well. They received my defective unit on Nov 20th and still no refund. At first they said 7 to 14 business days and now they upped it to 21 days. That's a dang long time just for a refund. On a side note they said the old N5 was recieved and processed with no problem. Meaning that the defect or whatever was not my fault. So I wait, and wait, and...
So glad to hear I am not the only one with this issue. The whole business of returning the phone has been at a snails pace to get through the process.
