How to decompile videos? - Off-topic

Hey guys, i am interested in knowing how to decompile videos, most mp4's into their individual frames. I tried almost all of the programs online and none of them work for me, and i was wondering if anyone here knew.
Thanks!

You try Adobe Premiere Pro?

Are you saying you want to convert videos into individual picture files such as jpgs, pngs, etc.?

That's what i think he meant. I've been trying to find that too.

Yes. ^^ cause we all know here that videos are individual frames, and when played at 30 per second, makes a smooth video. So I just want a program that will split the video into the frames that make it up, as individual files such as JPGs, PNGs etc
And I will try adobe premier, thanks for the suggestion.

With After Effects CS5 you can take the video and render it as a PNG sequence or JPEG sequence. I think that's what you're looking for.
I believe it's possible with Photoshop CS5/6 also.

The op never bothered to state what software he is currently using for video, let alone photo. He may already have something that will give him what he wants. Its up to the op to give us more info before we inundate him with software.

This is what he wants unless I'm missing something? He wants the video converted or split up into image files. Anyway, that software I linked is there for anyone else who's interested as well. I like it a lot and it's easy to use.

Why not just put the video on the timeline in Vegas and find the parts of the video you want stills from and save them? Just go frame by frame with the left/right arrow key and save as jpg.

The software I linked, you just attach the video and press a button and it just shoots out jpgs to whichever folder you want it saved to. Seems like a lot less work to me. But to each his or her own.

Yeah, Vegas does that too. My point was, if you don't want to end up with 1000s of jpgs you'll never need, you can take little extra time and jog thru the video and just save portions of it as an image sequence.

Use virtualdubmod. Ull have to check how to add more codec. U can save movies frame by frame as JPEG, bmp, or PNG. Works best on avi, but adding video codecs it will use other video formats.

What I'm about to say is going to stir up a bit of controversy, but Android lacks any sort of good music app. Someone should try to replicate the iPhones Music player UI as best as possible.
man i tried so many times but no developers wanna go that route of duplicating..
so i tried something way different then hero..g1...iphone..
i havent seen one like this..
even if i can trade services/applications (mobile or computer) or something to get atleast a music app for me created lol.. that would be sweet!!!

Well i dont own a G1 anymore..i now have a cliq
On my old G1 i never got to use earphones because it didnt support the 3.5mm....on the cliq it does! I love it buttt one huge thing is the quality of the sound. I have Bose earphones...they sound really great on my iPod and other MP3's but not on the cliq. The EQ is really nasty..so aanyways my questions are
Is this only on the cliq?
Is it possible to change the EQ at all?
Can someone please make an APP with this feature?
If this CANT be done, then why not?
Hope someone replies
thank you and long live ANDROID!
While your proposed layout looks great, that text is so small that there is not even any point of putting the info on there.
Basically you can get 8 lines of usable text with enough buffer around the words to act as buttons.
In your track list pic you are running 14 lines.
That's like a 10 point font change. And I think the phone's default is like 8 point font.
A lot of the functions you are showing are similar to Tunewiki.
And Tune wiki comes with last.fm built in. Has a built in widget. Not to mention the ability to interface with Flyscreen.
What would your player bring to the table that is new or different other than the basic look?

and as far as the text its just an idea not really much one needed just a feature of marquee type scrollin...

[Q] Love the phone but I give up trying to load movies on it!!

I love this phone more than the iPhone but I just give up on uploading movies. I can upload music with no problem but movies forget it. I'm using handbrake and I get the same result: sound good....but video scrambled and choppy. I have followed the post on how to upload videos using handbrake but I'm having no luck with it. Any ideas???
very strange man, i also followed them as the guy instructed, but for me the playback is amazing.
Yeah that's strange. I have Total Recall , lord of the rings , and pulp fiction all look and run perfect. All made with hand brake.

Test it on your computer first, if the video is still messed up then it's an encoding error.
Personally, I think DVDFab's ease of use makes it a better alternative to handbrake. DVD and BluRay decryption is built in, and in one click I can have it Rip a movie to iPhone format. I use one more click to change screen size for captivate - but this doesn't really have to be done. They update this app regularly - i bought the platinum edition long ago, and it has not failed me.
Give Rockplayer a try to see if you have better results as far as playback goes.
Sent from my SAMSUNG-SGH-I897 using XDA App
I will try a different movie and see if that works. Just Samsung would make a program for the phone that makes this an easier job to do. This is the only draw back to this phone, most people dont have the time or skills to do this. Just my 2 cents.
Pardon my arrogance, but it appears as though you're trying too hard. I drag and drop my mp4 movies from my laptop to my Captivate with Windows Explorer. They work like a champ.

DVDFab is as easy as it gets and they have a 15 day trial - put your disk in, say DVD to Mobile; pick iPhone and you are done. No phone manufacturer makes a tool for ripping DVDs - mainly because it violates the DMCA in the US.
If you want an iTunes like solution, then in a few days you can buy your shows via the Samsung mediahub. Point and Click.

Well, you're also missing stuff like crafting and survival. Depends on what difficulty you choose. Try for yourself.
I was wondering the same thing, because a bunch of guys I know love it. I tried it myself and I was bored within about 10 minutes. It's either you build something which isn't very impressive, or you sacrifice endless hours to make something awesome. But at the end of the day you don't really get anything for doing it... So I see no point either

Right now it's the pseudo equivalent of creative mode only. In creative mode, there are no monsters, infinite resources, and your character can't die.
Survival mode is really what brings out the flavor in minecraft, if for no better reason than you have to "earn" what you build by harvesting everything and *not* dying.
Initially the dev team (Mojang) wanted the pocket edition to be like creative mode only. Now apparantly they're giving it some survival mode teeth, as that's what the community has been clamoring for.
Here's to hoping there wont be too many corners cut. If so, I may have to hunker down and actually buy this one.
There is a free demo version for anyone who's curious. The demo version doesn't let you save your worlds, so whatever you build is gone when you close thr game.

Besides the ridiculous pricing and the lack of programs supporting the screen's ability, I refuse to support Apple so long as their business practices include the inane lawsuit wars that they have been waging. I really don't care about the eliteist toolbags who use them sometimes because we have PC/Android/etc users who are the same, but I won't give a one cent to a company who conducts business like Apple does.

I read their review, on the machine itself, then took the pictures. The review doesn't really show how good the display is in real life. I really, really want to dual boot ML and W8 on it and turn it into a HDTV, along with finding an external Blu-Ray drive for it.
It's shocking how far ahead they are in build quality against the PC manufacturers.
Exactly. I want to dual/trippel boot OSX/Win7/W8. I'm not a gamer but it's also nice to know that it'll run most games just fine.

Not a good idea. The retina display means nothing but trouble with regards to Windows. Windows doesnt do well with really high resolutions. Don't expect any gaming at all either. The 650m isn't a terrible card, but if you put it under much stress, expect a lot of overheating. That chassis is just way to small to deliever adequate cooling.
Tldr: If you want windows, buy a native windows machine this time around.

When you upload the video, go to the edit menu. You should find it. And if the video is not showing, usually you have to wait a few minutes to a few hours until the video is viewable.
I may be wrong - But I think people actually make those in their editing programs. You're talking about how at the end of a video, people have like a clip of their past video and a clip of the one next? and you can click on them?

I personally use Sony Vegas Pro. But you can use any program that allows you to take two clips and put them in one scene. Depends on your experience.
If you're on apple you can use Final Cut.
Pretty much any decent video editor has the capabilities to do it, you just need to make it manually as far as I know. Google "How to make a video with multiple clips" and you'll get what you're looking for. Save it, export it, and re-import it to your main video, having it transition to it at the end.
Best for hd editing??

Industry Standard = AVID.
I am using Sony Vegas HD, and I really enjoy it - it works pretty well. Straight forward and you even have an option to upload directly to youtube. I feel it's more of a better-than-usual prosumer piece of software, but it's still good.
You will still need a decent computer, with a good GPU and RAM, decent CPU...
It's going to eat up resources, so you'll have to take that into account especially if you're editing HD footage.
