Hi Guys,
I am currently running temasek Kang 130. I have never flashed a baseband on my phone(I flash roms through recovery only).
1) That means I should still be running on the stock baseband(about phone says baseband is 1035.21_20110725) . Right?
2) So I should be able to return to pure stock by flashing a stock unrooted rom and removing CWM right?
3) If yes where can I find such roms???
PS: If there is noway but to go through flashing a baseband,How can I find whether I should flash v20m or v20l to return to stock(for warranty reasons)???
I am from India.
Thanks in advance

Hello everyone!
I've got a P990 with UK charger, but the box has "HKG" and "Certified for use in Hong Kong" printed on it.
When I try to update it with the LG Update Tool, it says it can not be updated, the phone is not supported.
- How can I find out, what is my phone's origin?
- How can I force a fully official update via LG updater? Is there a ROM, that I should flash before?
Thanks, Daniel

Are you on stock ROM? if NOT, you need to flash STOCK ROM first ( v10f FROYO Hongkong version), then you use the LG updater. as i can see in your signature, your on CM, you will not get any update.
Of course before the ROM update I've flashed back the stock rom. The Euro Open. That'S why I'm asking, which stock rom should I flash first.
Can I look it up based on the IMEI or the S/N?

You said that your phone is from Hongkong, so you need to flash the "original Hongkong Stock Froyo ROM" before using the LG Updater. Or you can the download the Gingerbread Hongkong Update from here http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1035041 and use Smartflash http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1008070...

Yes, you can, there is a link floating round that you add your IMEI to and it'll give you a link.

Refine your thread title! Which version of Froyo do you have? V10x?
use search and type root v10 and the letter of your version. THen install ROM manger, install CWM, download a ROM you want, flash it to your device and have fun, or search for SmartFlash and use it to flash V20B to your device, since this is rootable already.
You probable will only need BlackJack to root it and the CWM.exe from here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1111771
my android version is froyo 2.2.2 v10b thx
Hey guys-
Looked for a thread about this and didn't find anything.
I read in some blog that in order to flash my stock rom to cyanogenmod 7.2, I need to have the latest gingerbread update.
a) is this true?
b) if so, how do I do it? Do I have to root it again once I get an official update?
thanks!
a. Nope. 2.3.4 is good. You can use 2.3.6 but not needed.
b. Yes, but as I said 2.3.4 works.
My baseband (stock ROM when I flashed CM is called baseband) is XXKPK 2.3.4. It works perfectly. But you need stock 2.3.6 from your country otherwise, 3G and GPS will not work.
So I purchased the phone in the country I live in - that mean I'm good to go?

Yes, as long as your phone is 2.3.x (Gingerbread) it's alright to flash CWM and then flash custom roms, don't have to be the latest version (2.3.6).

Yes. But if you want to update it to 2.3.6 you need to find a stock ROM from your country at samfirmware.com. But you don't need to update, because 2.3.4 is good. Now it depends on you.
Hi Guys,
Since I am new, I cannot post on the development groups. I was installing a ROM on my friend's S Advance. Whenever I flash a ROM, I am able to install everything properly but I have lost my mobile signal completely . I cannot make calls or send messages, the SIM works fine on other phones. What could be the problem here?
In Phone Status, it shows :
Network : Unknown
Signal strength : 0 dBm 99asu
Mobile Network Type : Unknown:0
Service Status : Radio Off
I have an Indian version of the phone, Baseband : i9070DDLK2
I tried looking for Radio files to Flash, but cannot seem to find it anywhere on XDA,
Please please help me out. Thank You so much for reading. Please let me know how to make it work.

Flashed this ROM :
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2324100
I tried flashing a few other ROMs too. Same issue with them.
NOOOOO
These roms can be flashed ONLY over JB 4.1.2 firmware! You have GB.
Please first upgrade to JB and then flash this rom!

Whoah! Okay
I tried flashing a stock firmware over ODIN from a link with stock firmware files. Phone went into a bootloop. Could you please forward me to a link with the firmware I should flash? Thanks
Did you make a factory clean? It will boot up!

Yes. Factory reset in recovery then rebooted in download mode and flashed via Odin

I tried flashing this :
I9070DDULP8_ODDULP8_India_Android_4.1.2 Since the following were the only 2 available for India on the XDA links and the others I found, I thought I'd give it a try :
REGION: INU (India) | PDA: I9070DDLJ1 | CSC: I9070DDLJ1
DOWNLOAD
REGION: INU (India) | PDA: I9070DDLI1 | CSC: I9070DDLD4

Then I figured out it won't work for i9070DDLK2 so I'm trying to reflash to stock 2.3.6
If you know where I could find a 4.1.2 link for i9070DDLK2, do let me know. I'd be grateful
No.. ddlk2 is 2.3.6 and ddulp8 is 4.1.2
First u need to flash ddlk2 which is 2.3.6 and then flash ddulp8 which is 4.1.2!

Okay. Thanks for clarifying. All these baseband versions on Samsung have me thoroughly confused.
I am pretty new to Samsung devices when it comes to rooting. Really appreciate you clarifying it.
Actually I had jumped from Firmware 2.3.6 to a custom ROM on 4.2.2 and then tried jumping back to Firmware 4.1.2 and hence the bootloop was occurring. (It's kind of making some sense now )
Thank you so much for clarifying, didn't read it clearly on blogs I guess, my bad. Firmware 2.3.6 is on download. I'll do a clean install of the firmware on ODIN and then try 4.1.2 and then custom ROMs. Thanks
Yes. And don't need to say 'Thanks', just HIT it!
Hello guys, i will explain the story in order, sorry for my bad Grammar.
first i have the official GTI9070 but i forgot the baseband (GB)
then i accept software update that appear in notification bar, my baseband become I9070DXLK2 (GB)
and i see there's CM11 out that can make kit kat running in I9070.
but it requires root to install CMW / TWRP..
so hard to find root zip for DXLK2, and then i found one full ROM rooted then flash it with odin.
my baseband still I9070 (GB) but rooted (binary counter++)
after that i flash TWRP with odin too.
then i try flashing CM11 with TWRP.
it success, but no mobile network.
i search at this forum and someone say "no mobile network happen because flashing from GB (2.3.x) directly to KK (4.4.x)"
he said first update from GB to official samsung JB.
the problem, there's no official samsung JB update for my country/region (DXLK2)
my question, if i flash the official samsung JB update from other region.. let say it italy.. will my baseband change?
if it changed, what's the problem and whats the negative impact? what should i do better?
thx in advance.
PS: my device is Samsung Galaxy S Advance GT-I9070 (Indonesian)

You don't have any negative impact if you flash any stock JB firmware, only with your warranty if you still have one.
Please, follow this guide from point A (JELLYBEANIZATION): [GUIDE] From stock GB to Custom JB (Noob-friendly)
After you updgraded to JB, ask/read some tutorials linked here: [{INDEX of GUIDES/TUTORIALS}] Galaxy S Advance [GT-I9070].
Be sure when you proceed to do something OR ASK before, NOT AFTER you doing something wrong.

Or maybe removed. Try on samsung-updates.com or sammobile.com
In Canada, have XXLK2 (Africa?). Want JB, use UK version?
I bought my unlocked I9070 almost 2 years ago and am thinking about upgrading to Android 4.1.2 (JB).
On samsung-updates there appear to be lots of JB versions for different regions.
Can I just select the one for Britain (XXLQE)? Is there anything I need to check re: compatibility?

Yes you can flash any stock firmware for I9070. Be sure you don't flash firmware for I9070P.

I had a lot of trouble trying to get the samsung-updates.com download to work (used the free one, which either didn't start most of the time or died during download). Eventually, I took the filename (for Britain) and Googled it, and found a download site that let me download it (required 3 hours).
Armed with the .zip file and ODLIN, it worked like a charm. All my installed apps and data survived, which surprised me. I thought this would be a vanilla install.
