I9000t camera not working

Hello Folks,
Hope you are keeping well.
I just purchased this phone, and I updated the ROM from 2.2.1 to 2.3.3 last night, now the main camera is not working...do.you think the kernel could be the main cause, or you recommend reflashing the phone. The phone is already rooted as well.

The camera is.not.showing any image....the interface is shown..but no image...then the phone freezes...

Its a known problem with the I9000T 2.3.3 ROM and custom kernels, try using a 2.3.4 custom ROM

Hello guys. I am using Galaxy S i9000. With Froyo 2.2. I9000XXJPK .
Please suggest best gingerbread rom and suggest me way to perform flash on my phone.. Awaiting your answers.. Long Live XDA .. Peace xd

Everyone has a different favourite rom. I liked a lot: SuperOsr then Cm7 and Miui Mintberry.

if you want Samsung Rom then i would suggest xxjvu. if you want custom then cm7. and ics try cm9 alpha builds..

Thankyou guys. Wanted to know when flashing XXJVU over XXJPK cause any problems or not? I.e. Bricking or failure in flashing?

I was fearing if flashing any 2.3 Rom on 2.2 Froyo will cause some problems?

i came from froyo to gingerbread stock with kies. After that i descovered custom rom and wow.before flashing i sugest stock gingerbread. After that root ( cf root) and after that any custom rom u choose

( .. Flashing from 2.2 to 2.3.6 will cause any problems? And flashing kernel is also necessary?

I didn't flash to 2.3.6 from froyo. I let kies to update from froyo to gingerbread (2.3.3 or 2.3.4 i belive). After that i flashed cf root from chainfire to have root and cmw.

You need to be on Gingerbread first before you can flash your phone with an ICS ROM. The following web site gives an easy step by step tutorial plus download links to get ICS on your SGS.

or get 2.3.x updated from kies , than root it and then do cyan9 , its best. worked like charm. just read the instructions and follow it.

Kies says am upto date with latest software can i get gingerbread without kies?

You can update your device till 2.3.6.
Unfortunatelly I only have a german page with the explanation.

BEWARE: You are coming from Froyo - so you have to flash an android version that includes a socalled "bootloader" (some versions don't include that, as far as I know).
Reed carefully first before flashing.

Galaxy ACE SHW-M240S HELP

Good day .. Im using a Galaxy ACE (SHW-M240S) korea version , im not korean, im from philippines .. after i upgraded my phone into a custom rom, my wifi and bluetooth are not working anymore .. i found out that SHW-M240S and S5830 are not the same OS and Kernel .. i need badly a (STOCK ROM) for my SHW-M240S can anyone help me so that i can flash it again to stock rom .. please help me ..

The firmware doesn´t appear in samfirmware.com, but i read in some forums that you can flash it with Samsung Kies

do not flash any or it might cost you a lot. we dont have any hardware support here in the phil with regards to your phone.

I bought one of this phones and I need Spanish ROM or a way to install Spanish into my cellphone, so if you know how to make it to work fine in my country cause in some areas it say "limited service area" and whit another cellphone service is full in those area what would it be and how did I fix it? thanks a lot
