How do you can't log?
If you go to accounts options and click add account you should be immediately able to add Google account.

Just search around forum. You will find it. Don't make me call you ULTRA-LAZY n00bs.
hello there!
i'm a new little fellah in the rom flashing world, so i'm a little afraid before doing anything, so here's the situation :
i have a galaxy mini, rooted, and cwm is perfectly installed.
i want to install this rom : http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2085347
In the description it's written to wipe data AND cache after every action.
I just have personally 2 thing to install : the rom and the gapps, that's all (no patch).
So i have to wipe cache and data before flashing the rom of course, and so my question is : do i have to wipe data AND cache after installing the rom? and then install the gapps, and then wipe again?
So should i do :
1) wipe data and cache
2) install from zip the rom
3) wipe data and cache
4) install from zip the gapps
5) wipe data and cache
6) reboot
Is that good? or am i doing a mistake anywhere?
thank you for your help !
normally this works
wipe data ,cache and dalvik cache
format system ( if going from stock to cm7 or vice versa)
install rom
install gapps
wipe data , cache
reboot

you can also wipe battery states but it's only optional, you dont have to but no harm in doing so.
I have found this from here:
FIRST OF ALL DOWNLOAD THE ROM AND THE ADD-ONS PACKAGE.
1. Back Up all Your Important Files as the Rom is wipe-only.
2. Copy the rom to SD CARD and Boot to CWM revovery.
3. Click WIPE CACHE PARTITION -> wipe
4. Click Advanced -> Wipe Dalvik - Cache -> wipe
5. Click Mount Partition ->
a. Format /System -> yes
b. Format /Data -> yes
c. Format /Cache -> yes
6. Click Wipe Data/Factory Reset -> yes
7. Install the rom
Some ROMs need just wipe data/reset factory and wipe dalvik cache.
SO could someone tell what is needed to do and what those 5abc means and are they really "must to do"- things?

All to be sure, to not have any conflicts...
With TWRP Recovery, go to "WIPE" section and check "Dalvik", "System", "Data", "Cache" swipe OK button and all it's done in one step
You just have to Install your new Custom ROM !!!
To be sure of the answer you can ask pulak861 as I see these are the instructions of his rom installation xD don't worry I think they're all ok just to make sure you don't have any issues while flashing your new rom and testing it then, I followed all these steps yesterday to flash the velocity rom and nothing unusual happened, before that the only thing I used to do was a wipe data factory reset, and wipe cache partition too.

When installing an update (not a new version) of the custom rom you already have it's not completely necessary to do a full wipe/data cache, but if you have fully working back up, do it just to be sure everything works fine
Hi guys!
I'm installed TWRP on mi SGM, i tried to install new rom but i can't format Data, cache and Dalvik Cache.
After swipe to wipe, TWRP is restarting
Now i am using CWM 6.0.x.x and it's working very good.
I will upload a video in 2 days and edit this post.
In the instructions it says:
Installation instructions
- WIPE EVERYTHING (otherwise your device will be stuck at boot)
- Flash Mahdi-Rom zip from SDCard
- Flash your variants device patch
- Flash GApps zip from SDCard
- You may need to flash SuperSU to get root
- Reboot
- Don't restore system data using Titanium Backup!

I have a few questions about this. 1) By "WIPE EVERYTHING", I just choose Wipe in TWRP and slide the slider (no additional options)? 2) I choose and flash all 4 zips at once, or do I flash them individually? 3) Why does it say not to restore from TiB?

Yes, that is a full wipe. Do not wipe internal storage, the stock slider settings (Data, Cache, and Dalvik) should work fine.

Thanks, got it. Sucks that I have to reset all my settings to my liking, but Mahdi's got some pretty cool features that CM doesn't have.

That is NOT a full wipe. You must wipe System as well. Click on Advanced Settings, then check Dalvik, Data, System and Cache (leave internal SD unchecked).

MOST ROM installations do not require you to do so, they already include a /system wipe in the process. In most cases, you are fine. :good:

Yes, that is true, but some devs do not include the system wipe in the install process because it can cause a longer than normal install. You shouldn't give other users false information. Someone could really mess up their device using the info you provided.

I always wipe "cache", "dalvik cache", "data", "system" when I want a "CLEAN" install. You'll lose all your settings and apps. You need to back up your apps using Titanium Backup or other similar apps to restore them. This is the safest way to install a new ROM
I always wipe "chace", "dalvik cache", and "system" when I want a "DIRTY" install where my apps and settings are kept. This is only safe to do if you're moving up or down the SAME ROM versions.
I use TWRP 2.7.0.0 for my recovery program as it's touch and with big buttons :silly:
