Hi. I was using UOT Kitchen to customize my notification bar and I got through all the steps but when I got to the end where I have to upload my apk, it said "error. Try again" and couldn't get it to work after that. Any suggestions?

and a error came?
yes, the uot kitchen's notification bar color changer only works for desire roms i think.
Yeah when I uploaded my apk, the error came. But other people on the forums said they customized their Aria with UOT

Are you uploading it from your phone or are you doing this on a computer? If from your phone, don't. Download the ROM zip, unzip, then upload THAT framework-res.apk and it'll work no problem. Be advised that according to the UOT website notification bar changes will not work for the aria. See post above your last post lol...
I've gotten notification bar changes to work, however you cannot select any transparency options or it will crap out like that (liberated roms)

I downloaded the ROM from my computer and it still didnt work. i extracted the framework-res.apk file to my desktop and selected it fron UOT and the error still appeared. So I downloaded the ddx version(Liberated 2.2) and the error still came. Idk what Im doing wrong.
Can u take the files of themes and take the things you like out of each of them and make a custom theme? Or mod a theme just a little to your liking? If so, how???

Sure can, its pretty easy. If you are using themes already made for the fascinate its a little easier as you won't have to rename anything and the images will be correct. Just use 7zip or apkmanager to break down the .apk's and have a look.
Where do I get 7zip or apkmanager?? Is this a pc thing now or a dkwnload to my phone and flash in cwm type of thing??

Just look in the how to theme stickier thread in this forum....it links all the tools needed
whats the file name of the lg lockscreen because i wanna change it for my rom.
greetz.
I think its not an app, it is in framework-res.apk somewhere I think, look here:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1234274
I think to remember, that it only flashes a new framework-res.apk, but have a look into it
If you wanna modified the theme, modify /system/framework/RES_cappuccino.apk

I'm trying to mod an existing custom rom for my own use. Im just changing some pngs.
I unzip it, use formatter to change framework res apk to rar, unpack it. Change my pngs, repack it, use formatter to change back to apk. (Do I need to sign it?) Zip up the folder with 7zip, set compression as store.( is this correct) . But when I go to install it in cwm it wont install. I'm clearly missing a step. Someone please tell me what I'm missing or doing wrong. Thanks

Anyone know what I'm missing. Read as many tutorials as I could find. But clearly I'm doing something wrong.

Hi everyone!
The thing is, I hate the stock android emoticons, so I made these myself which I think they look nice.
Two packs, one pack they have 36x36 pixels res, the other one 46x46, why? If you use the normal screen 240dpi, then use the 36x36 emoticons, if you use for example SlimBean rom at its default 182dpi, use the 46x46 pack, otherwise they will look too small.
Bellow you can see how they look using the 46x46 at 182dpi, using SlimBean rom.
I also made a lock screen unlock button with neXus X shape
I hope you like it.
ATTENTION: this aren't installation zip's, you must unpack and replace the png files in Mms.apk, Framework.apk and Talk.apk in any rom zip file and gapps, I use winrar to do this, I believe 7zip does the same. This is intended for rom developers and who likes to change things their own way, like I do
Keep getting installation aborted? Do I just put it on sd card and flash?

Pretty sure the emoticons are part of the framework. This zip won't install them. You would need to add them into the framework yourself.

Yes, this zip's won't install anything, they are supposed to be unpacked and replace the correspondent ones in Mms.apk, Framework.apk and also Talk.apk inside of any gaaps package, if you want. I use winrar to do this, to customize rom graphics on my own way.
