[Q] Calendar reminders - HTC Vivid, Raider, Velocity

Hello guys,
In my previous android phones, non-HTC, the calendar reminders in the notification bar would not be dismissed unless I specified it. However, with my Vivid with ICS, everytime a calendar reminder popups, and I unlock the phone, it opens the event info, and once I press back or home, the event gets dismissed.
Is there anyway to avoid getting the event dismissed?

[Q] Disable stock calendar notifications

I have Calendar Notifier installed and would like to completely replace calendar notifications with a 3rd party app (for example Calendar Snooze, Calendar Event Reminder, Nudnik Calendar Notification, etc.).
The catch is that I cannot disable Froyo 2.2 stock calendar notifications at all. Menu/Settings/Select ringtone/... that's it. Take it or leave it. As a result, I always have two notifications - one from the stock calendar and one from a 3rd party.
Any idea?
Choose none as ringtone. Works for me, I'm using Calendar Snooze instead.

Is there a way to turn off alerts/alarms coming from the S planner?

Is there a way to turn off alerts/alarms coming from the S planner?
I'm planning on using Calengoo.
Won't the alerts double? One coming from S-planner and the other coming from Calengoo?
I cannot turn of the calendars in S planner as Calengoo seems to need it to be able to get calendar data from my google account (I don't want to give Calengoo my login details, thus it is syncing from my Android device which is syncing to my Google Account)
Thanks for what enlightenment you guys can give.
I, too, would love some advice on this issue. Just using Outlook and the S Calendar. What I would like to do is to turn off the spoken notifications but still receive an event notification in the notification bar. And I still want the phone to ring.
What about "Set alarms and notifications" option in s planner options accessible after pressing menu key? I can set "Alarm", "Notification", "Disabled". There is another menu entry for vibration...
Thanks. But the problem with choosing to disable it is that I no longer receive any notification. I would like a notice in the notification bar - I just don't want my notification bar speaking. I tried changing the notification sound volume to zero. That worked to silence notifications about texts (but I still get the vibrate). But my calender still speaks.
Well, I found a fix for my problem, but it won't help the OP. Turns out the phone was in driving mode and that overrode application settings.

[Q] Calendar notification icon don't stay in statusbar

Hi all,
I have some trouble with the reminder function from the stock calender. i use this calender with a exchange account and synchronizing is working fine.
But if i create a reminder ex. at 2:15-2:15 and set the alarm 5 minutes before, the alarm ring as expected at 2:10 and a message is showing on the lockscreen.
If i was not at the phone and unlock the phone after 2:15 there is no message on the lockscreen and no icon at the statusbar.
Is there a settings or app that the notification stay on statusbar until i have unlocked my phone and clear the notification?
Thanks in advance
Yoshi
no ideas?

[Q] calendar notification settings

Anyone having this issue where I set any new calendar events to having no notifications as well as no notifications in the event settings, yet when I add an event it changes the notifications to 10 minutes before as well as if I have an all day event. I have the default settings to no notifications on both regular and all day events in settings as well as no notifications when I add a new event.

Calendar Notifications Not Persistent

Just bought an 8 & seem to have an issue with notifications from the stock calendar app. Notifications come through but aren't persistent. So if I don't check the phone straight away to see what the notification was, it disappears all by itself. I'm used to Samsung's S-Planner where notifications remain until manually dismissed.
Edit
Turns out the notification only dismisses once the event is over. Still not great though if you hsppen to miss the initial notification.
