if you're interested, then flash over odin fw.JW6 and semaphore kernel to 2.7.4 and flash saurom jw6.je cwm's great work on GB.Jinak rom you choose what you choose, then it is an ideal system ram.

You need to have stock recovery and no system changes for OTA to work.
---------- Post added at 08:17 AM ---------- Previous post was at 08:17 AM ----------
Easiest just to flash 4.4.4 with fast boot.

thank you. do you have a link to a guide on how to do that,i'm pretty much a newb when it comes to the nexus 7.
The general and Q&A sections have stickied threads always on top (little thumb tack pic beside them) you should read them all soon. All the important info is there.
Here is the flashing guide tho...
You can ask for help in most of them too.

Hi,
I have hard bricked my Note3 (SM-900A) about a month back. (Restarted the phone manually in Download mode and now I cant get to download mode not the phone boots up at all.)
I am following the thread http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2476353 to restore the phone; however, the unbrick image seems to be pretty old. Can anyone advise me where I can get the latest unbrick image for the phone or any other steps I need to follow. Thanks in advance.

Sorry but I mostly work on HTC devices. Can you tell me how I can check I have Safetrap? All I am doing is trying to get into download mode by power+home+vol combination. Is there another way to get into recovery? Also by saying batter I guess you are referring to battery.. right ?
No I did not try to flash any ROMs. The phone was dead one day, we tried replacing the battery with new battery. (it belongs to my friend and I am just trying to help him).
Lol yes meant battery. If you can boot into recovery you will know if you have Safestrap. Safestrap is not a true recovery its a work around..but try power+home+power up

No.. I can't get it to recovery mode either. I suspect it could be a battery pins problem since it does not appear to hold the charge. I kept it for charging over the entire weekend but no luck. Any thoughts? (I tried with brand new battery and assuming the new battery comes with some juice).

It sounds like you hard bricked the phone. This means that no software will do you any good. It requires a special restore. I did this a couple times with my S3. The only option I had was to send it to a tech service online that restores hard bricks. If the phone does not power on at all, then it is hard bricked. Bout as bad as it comes. Cost me 55 bucks for my s3, not sure what it costs these days but a google search should come up with some services that could help you out.

I take this back as it seems there is a way to recover hard brick. Wish I had known about this method when I had my S3.

I upgraded to FireKat V13 and it was buggy as hell for me, even though it had great battery life. I went back to 4.3 as a result. Was even able to restore my backup.
You have to go to a MLG based kitkat I think....

If you did the early release version of Kitkat that wasnt official update yes there us a way back. But if you do the official odin update there is no going back

Can someone please help me upgrade my OS to lollipop I've been trying all day I've tried doing it this way but it didn't work: from Droid views article Update to Lollipop and Root AT&T Galaxy S4 Active SGH-I537
i don't think i did right if anyone can help me using the website above if anyone can send screenshots on how they did it or if you have a easier way please leave a message on how you did it.
i do not have a att sim right now and it is not rooted. It is currently running 4.2.2 jelly bean
http://forum.xda-developers.com/galaxy-s4-active/general/how-to-update-to-i537oc6-5-0-1-t3089355
you need to start from kitkat rooted
Well. If you want root, look for the stock ROM index, then get ne3 (or whatever kitkat has a full Odin package) flash it, and then if you want root, root here and use flashfire to flash lollipop, if not get the update .zip from the same thread and flash it for no root.

No you cannot due to the bootloader. We got lucky that the 4.4 bootloader works with 5.0. It is not hard at all my friend just download odin. flash all 4 NE3 files with odin. Use towelroot to gain root. then flash whatever rom you like from there. The long list of instructions was due to the old version of flashfire having issues. The new version is much more stable. If you get confused let me know
@Rick1684
Hmm if I'm clear, I have to upgrade to 4.4 before I can upgrade to 5.0 ...
I can't jump from 4.3 to 5.0

Odexed might have ever so slightly better battery life and bootup time, but deodexed is necessary if you want to modify your system, I.e. you want to use Xposed.
