SD card question

hey guys, which sd would be the best for the legend? iam interested in an 8gb one, but i dont know which company to choose. Also dont know about the "class"system. Can i use a class 4 sd on this phone? thanks and regards

Mine is class 2, 16 GB by SanDisk and it works great. Even apps2sd+ works with it...

i'm using Kingston 16GB Class 10, doesn't feel that much fast and i test with SD speed test it only run up to 4-5MB on Legend, so i guess, Legend hardware doesn't support new type of SD

I'm now using Pretec 16GB class 6 and it is just fine with Legend, but before I used 8GB Sandisk ultraspeed and it was way slower in Legend...it went around 20 / 15MBps (R/W) in the card reader, but only-MBps in Legend...so Legend definitely reads/writes much slower...

Any a2sd mod can work with any sdcard, but you might get some lockups on slower ones. I was using original 2 GB sdcard (I think it was Kingston class 2) till yesterday and had no problems using a2sd whatsoever...

Kingston 8gb class 10

I really want to share with you guys this,before i bouth this card: Kingston SDC10/8GB i had an HP 8gb class 4,but the diference between the two is noticeble.Files are copyed very fast...i'm not saying that the HP was c*ap,it was good but the way i acces now my music,videos and copy new content its really a joy...even the androidOS scanes the card faster at boot.
I may say that the Kingston is twice as fast... and the card itself cost me 49lei with taxes (thats about 14$ US).
Do you guys know a benchmark tool?

use antutu bencmark it can do bencmark forsd card read, write speed

The speed increase has to do with the class of the card. Class 10 is way much faster than class 4.
I'm on my way to buy a class 10 Kingston SD too.

of course. class 10 has minimum speed of 10 Mbps while class 4 only have minimum speed of 4 Mbps...
any class 10 microSD will be faster than that HP, or whichever class 4 microSD.

im using transcend class10 n the best read only 16,7mb/s

how are Samsung's Class6 , 8 gb cards i have ordered one for me
and guys do i need to root my phone to run those benchmark tools

NO ROOT is needed...also I have a PNY MicroSD-HC 16GB Class 10 works awesome!

Now I got a 16gb one on my brothers Galaxy Ace...its a Kingston class 10...I will post some benchmarks right away

I can recomend the SanDisk 64GB Mobile Ultra MicroSDXC Class 6.
I bought one from amazon a few months ago for my Note N7000. It has been working flawlessly.
When running a backup of my phone to a windows PC over USB 2.0. I get 20MB/s from internal storage and 17MB/s from the SDXC card.

About Memory Card: Sandisk 16 GB Class 10 Micro Memory Card.

As you all know the ace's internal memory has very low and a class 4 sd card is not fully supported the scripts like app2sd, link2sd etc..
You have to have atleast class 6 sd card to work that scripts on your device and increase the internal memory of your device.
I am planning to buy a 16 GB Class 10 sandisk micro memory card with 5 year warrenty from filpkart.
I want to know about the review.
You can post about your memory cards and their classes.
Is there anybody has the class 10 micro sd?

I have the class 10 (UHS I) 16 GB sandisk micro sd card...works good, but you wont see much difference on your phone for basic things if u buy a class 6 or 8...but overall ifvyou notice closely, yes it is fast ...

Using a class 10 16 GB SanDisk Ultra micro SD. Comes with a lifetime warranty (10 years in Canada) and only costs $30 CDN. It was a really worthwhile purchase and I find that it works way better than the stocked 4GB class 4 Samsung one.

I am using a Transcend 16GB Class 10 micro sd and its awesome.

I'm using a Samsung class 10 and tested the R/W speed using A1 SD Bench. It gave me 10.32 MB/s on read and 6.22 MB/s on write. I do feel the difference with the older, a Sandisk Class 4.

now i would like to know which one is better

I have been using that exact Lexar card you referenced for several months. I used it first in a Galaxy S3, and then moved it over to the Note 2.
I have not had any issues nor corruptions, and have been very pleased with it.
I would buy it again without question!

I have both, the sandisk is slightly faster, lexar is slightly expensive.

Any more feedback ?
I read a lot of revs says lexar is better and faster

Is Class 10 really needed for Mobile device ... or only class 4 will work for Mobile full Hd record and Burst mode shooting ??

about sandisk's bad reviews - a while back they had an ultrabad batch of cards that failed pretty consistently and they gained a bad rap for it - apparently they're better / fixed now, but fwiw, i've had every brand fail on me (literally; patriot, lexar, sandisk etc) but I might be the exception to the usage details as I'm swapping machines all day

My last card was a Lexar 32 c10 and it worked perfectly for over a year. It's now in my wife's G3. I've been using a Sandisk 64 c10 for the last few months and it's also working flawlessly. I think you're fine with either one.

You could simply plug it in to the phone (while it's off of course) and format the card within the phone as well

I have done that too as well. I recently bought a 32gb micro sd for my Note2 sgh-i317 and for my gs3 a 64gb micro sd sgh-i747
