What original kernel do you want? You said you are on DXJPE so you can try to flash DXJPE without repartition.
Sent from my GT-P1000 using Tapatalk
That's true as long as you didn't convert to ext4. If you did then you would have to repartition.
Okay. Im using Dip7 kernel. And kies recognized my tab it says this is the latest firmware. That is the important for me.

Dude i used fw to recognized my tab. Is there an update via kies even if i used fw, dip7 kernel and cf-root?

First off I'd like to say I've read the majority of the stock threads and there was plenty of info there but i couldn't come to a conclusion on how to restore back to my original firmware.
This ROM uses the Abyss kernel and how would i go abouts restoring it?
I had originally a firmware that was directly rootable and i followed a video by cursed4eva to root it.
Please help with any suggestions

Thank you dr.ketan...one more question:-
Now I revert back to stock ROM 2.3.5 and rooted. If I flash it to N7000DXLA1_N7000OLBKL2_XSE.zip, do I need to root again? Is there any method which can remain rooted after flash to stock ROM 2.3.6?
Thank you.

Hi,
Thanks alot, its work and now I'm on 2.3.6 stock ROM with rooted but when I use mobile odin pro to flash it that time, there isn't an option for me to select the 'Inject CWM Manager'...so now need to install again.
Any idea why don't have that option? Could it be the version of mobile odin?
Thank you.

Hi,
I'm very sorry if asking the noob question here as I'm new to android world.
What do you mean "using zergrush exploit"? To root? If yes then I know what you mean but I already rooted my device and flash the stock ROM 2.3.6 using mobile odin pro.
I just want to know why the my mobile odin pro (2.30)does not have the option called 'Inject CWM Manager'?
Thank you.

It is removed from Newer version of Mobile Odin pro.

Afaik the full wipe part will be performed under the gb kernel as that is flashed before the from, so you'll be fine.

Cm kernels will not work with tw based roms, only with aokp/aosp, and vice versa. You'll have to read up on the kernel pages themselves on which rom types they support.
So flash to gb first, perform full wipe, root and install cwm, then you can install custom kernels and roms from there. Never install from ics kernel, only downgrade to gb to be safe.

Most of the rom files split down into three files but If you place the original tar file into pda, odin sorts out the partitions correctly for you.
All stock gb kernels are safe from emmc superbrick bug, safe to perform wipes.

After successfully flashing the stock Ice Cream Sandwich firmware of your choice, flash a safe custom Ice Cream Sandwich kernel such as SpeedMod K3-9 or K3-11 and flash it via PC ODIN. After this, you should be rooted and have CWM and Superuser installed on your device.
After your device reboots, a yellow triangle may appear, but do not worry! Download the app Triangle Away from the Google Play Store and it will help you get rid of that dreaded image!
Refer to the kernel development thread, http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1673072
I hope this helps.

Go back to stock, and see what would happen. Flash stock fw with Odin. Or use nandroid backup if you made one before. Always do when you experiment with some new ROM.

What could i do to make paranoid work?
Just check your firmware and baseband. If they're different (like baseband of XXLQB and firmware of DDULP8) then your baseband will get wiped when you flash a ROM. It's happened to me too. To prevent this problem just flash stock firmware through Odin in such a way that the baseband and firmware are the same.:thumbup::thumbup:

I just went back to XXLQ4 or XXLPZ or something (I don't remember) then the baseband and firmware version will be the same and then just flash the ROM you want. I'm not sure if there's an easier way, maybe you can try backing up your EFS folder in stock and one you flash your ROM you can try restoring it. I've not tried this but you can do this and report.
And one more thing, as a member of xda you should really click thanks for the people who help you.
