I was cleaning my screen off a bit earlier and then I realized the coolest thing. The phone seems pretty waterproof as shown in the video. http://youtu.be/h1k4xoxmsLo
So I became curious and found another video someone putting the phone under a running faucet.

Have any of your phones survived a liquid spill of some sort?
I used my phone sparingly in a huge rain storm last Sunday. It was fine. One of the best parts is that the screen works near perfectly when wet. Great accuracy.

I'm very impressed with this feature of the phone. I went to Six Flags and rode the Aquaman ride twice in a row. My Atrix HD was in my pocket and it got a really good soaking. Phone still works fine with no issues.
Just know this phone isn't water tight. I wanted to have a look at the guts so I started opening it up; the sides seem like they my be glued or caulked (or just very tight together) but I was able to open the bottom seem pretty easily.
I can confirm... It is SPLASH resistant (but I wouldn't go swimming with it...). Took my kids to a splash park today, and the phone got a few small splashes (I did a pretty good job of ducking & dodging) which either rolled right off, or blew off with my breath...

That's my baby girl splashing away!
I chose the red pill... Now I'm in the mAtrix and I know Kung Fu... in HD!

I'm in no way expecting this to be water proof but with an 8 year old boy, splashes are gonna happen. I'm not dunking the phone any time soon, but big water rides at theme parks don't scare me any more.

ikea is kinda like posh in usa is it not ?
here it's seen as stuff you put together yourself
with 1 part missing all the time
and if you move and try to disasm it to brind it
and reasm it you'd end up wishing you had never been born
no office to swedish people

I like your room.. Its quite cosy..
thx. i try lol. its so simple yet it works for me and my girl.
You are bored aren't you.
A good portion of my house is Ikea also. Cheap in price but it usually holds up very well.
well my ikea toilet cuboard rusted
I like the pillows...pretty neat setup otherwise....
they are good and strong alright
but as some body commented before, it feels like orange skin, finger sticks too much, and doesn't swipe freely.
also it smudges the color of SAMOLED, and is very hard to put on without leaving lot of bubbles
this thing is coming off as soon as the cheap PET screen protector arrives, those do a waaaaaaaay better job
MY EYEEEEEES!!!!!!!
and the smell of the plastic is horrible, it's like burned computer dusts
Did you even let it dry yet? 2 days before it drys.
Here is my skin on my HD7 from bestskinsever.com

I don't agree with the clarity complaint, though it is certainly true they're a tad rubbery. Still, it shouldn't inhibit gestures unless you're the type to really press your finger hard into the screen, which is totally unnecessary with capacitative technology.
I am using zagg on my iPod touch, and have no air bubbles or any touch problems. And will be getting ome for nexus s. It looks like you rushed putting it on
I will agree....that looks horrible.....but I have to say it must be due to poor installation, no offense.....
Sugarmouths photos as well as the photos I posted in my thread about Bestskinsever on my Nexus S prove that the skins can and do look amazing when installed properly.
My SuperAMOLED still looks and performs amazing, and is nice and safe to boot....
That is one of the worst install jobs I have ever seen. Zagg should sew you
Awful installation by the OP.

That's a god-awful install job. The Zagg on my and my gf's NS is flawless. Looking at the phone you can't even tell it has a screen protector on.
That's why I have the kiosks install them. I do prefer ghost armor over the zagg though.

But it took it like a champ. Brand New AT&T LTE 8.9. I was taking it into the AT&T store to get a sim card, and while getting out of the truck, I grabbed the box, but the opening was facing away from me, and the Tab simply beat me out of the truck. Face down onto the pavement from about 5'.
Thank GOD it still had the protective plastic still on the front and the rear. All I ended up with was a two chipped up corners.
I was sure the screen was going to be cracked when I heard it smack face down. First time EVER dropping a tablet.
Update...

A couple chips sucks but much better than a cracked screen. These tabs look to be pretty solid as far as i can tell. Maybe pick a case up that'll cover the corners.

Yea, doesn't bother me too much. I'm just very picky when it comes to my electronics. I like everything pristine!
i know what you mean. i can be pretty anal about mt electronics too. glad to hear nothing bad happened though.
So, I was rummaging around DX.com and found this little beauty:
http://dx.com/p/3800mah-backup-power-battery-back-case-for-samsung-galaxy-note-2-n7100-white-178625
I'm thinking this would be a sweet thing to get since it's a case, battery, flip cover, with a kickstand to boot.
Anyone have any experience with something like this?

I was interested in this as well (although the stock battery is just fine). I've read the few reviews that I could find on Amazon and they were not so great. Issues such as Units smoking, phones being damaged, etc. However, none were made or sold by a reputable company so I'm going to keep my distance.

I've got one in my Galaxy s3. Don't buy it. The clip fell off within 2 weeks of light use. The battery lasts about an hour at most even though it was supposed to be 3300mah. And it made the phone run hot. Not to mention it was very thick and made the phone heavy.
The flip cover's edges peeled off in 2 weeks as well. It didn't fall off though. That's about the only good thing I can say about it.
I bought it on ebay so I guess it's my fault I got a cheap cover for $25.00. The seller had 100% good feedback so I thought I would get something good. When I emailed that picture to the seller, he said I abused it and he wouldn't help me.
I'm a disabled USMC Combat Vet, how am I going to abuse it? I don't leave the house much, I carry the phone in a messenger shoulder bag when out and put it on my desk when I'm home. Oh well, you live and learn.

Thanks for the heads up. I think I'll pass on this and just get a couple of extra batteries.
I was in Honduras, on a small island, in a crappy apartment with no TV, money or girlfriend. This was the product of my boredom.

It's made of wood and cost less than $5.
It's got 5 joints that allow for nearly any positioning and the actual device can be rotated to landscape or portrait. The only thing missing was a vertical rotation axis right by the nexus so it can can turn left and right. The string is a backup to stop everything collapsing on my face in the night.

We really do not need that type of comment here......
OP instead of using the string on the wall.. Get two Star type locking washes on each side of the first upright angle bar.. they will dig into the wood and hold it tight without the string.... You could also file some groves into flat washers to achieve this and cut a few groves into the wood for them to seat into...
I Have a commercial made arm similar that i got for my Work van Years ago... Its in basement somewhere now
sorry to offend...
by the way, what does the term "knob" mean in your sig?
OK the idea was creative. The hands free comment was cute, give the guy a break! ?
