so
this is how the stock status_bar.xml sort off looks like
HTML:
<?xml version="1.0" encoding="utf-8"?>
<com.android.systemui.statusbar.StatusBarView android:orientation="vertical" android:background="#ff000000" android:focusable="true" android:descendantFocusability="afterDescendants"
xmlns:android="http://schemas.android.com/apk/res/android">
<LinearLayout android:orientation="horizontal" android:id="@id/icons" android:layout_width="fill_parent" android:layout_height="fill_parent">
<com.android.systemui.statusbar.IconMerger android:gravity="center_vertical" android:orientation="horizontal" android:id="@id/notificationIcons" android:paddingLeft="6.0dip" android:layout_width="0.0dip" android:layout_height="fill_parent" android:layout_weight="1.0" android:layout_alignParentLeft="true" />
<LinearLayout android:gravity="center_vertical" android:orientation="horizontal" android:id="@id/statusIcons" android:paddingRight="6.0dip" android:layout_width="wrap_content" android:layout_height="fill_parent" android:layout_alignParentRight="true" />

</LinearLayout>
<LinearLayout android:orientation="horizontal" android:id="@id/ticker" android:paddingLeft="6.0dip" android:animationCache="false" android:layout_width="fill_parent" android:layout_height="fill_parent">
<ImageSwitcher android:id="@id/tickerIcon" android:layout_width="wrap_content" android:layout_height="fill_parent" android:layout_marginRight="8.0dip">

</com.android.systemui.statusbar.StatusBarView>
now what you need to do is change the highlighted parts <_ look below _>
HTML:
<?xml version="1.0" encoding="utf-8"?>
<com.android.systemui.statusbar.StatusBarView android:orientation="vertical" android:background="[COLOR="lime"][SIZE="4"][B]#ff000000[/B][/SIZE][/COLOR]" android:focusable="true" android:descendantFocusability="afterDescendants"

</com.android.systemui.statusbar.StatusBarView>
change those to

so it will look like this below

Listview background

I want to add a background to the filemanager.apk of my stock android 2.2..
I have decompiled it using apkmanager, and in the res/drawable folder i have added background. png... then in layout/main. xml
Code:
<?xml version="1.0" encoding="UTF-8"?>
<LinearLayout [B]android:background="@drawable/background" android:cacheColorHint="#00000000" [/B]android:orientation="vertical" android:layout_width="fill_parent" android:layout_height="fill_parent"
xmlns:android="[B]*[/B]">
<LinearLayout android:orientation="horizontal" android:paddingLeft="6.0dip" android:paddingRight="10.0dip" android:layout_width="fill_parent" android:layout_height="wrap_content">
<TextView android:textAppearance="?android:textAppearanceMedium" android:ellipsize="end" android:layout_gravity="left|center" android:layout_width="fill_parent" android:layout_height="wrap_content" android:text="@string/app_name" android:singleLine="true" android:layout_weight="1.0" />
<ImageButton android:id="@id/btn_home" android:background="@drawable/control_button_selector" android:layout_width="wrap_content" android:layout_height="wrap_content" android:src="@drawable/ic_home" />
</LinearLayout>
<ImageView android:gravity="fill_horizontal" android:id="@id/titleDivider" android:layout_width="fill_parent" android:layout_height="1.0dip" android:src="@drawable/dialog_divider_horizontal_light" android:scaleType="fitXY" />
<LinearLayout android:orientation="horizontal" android:paddingLeft="6.0dip" android:paddingTop="2.0dip" android:paddingRight="10.0dip" android:paddingBottom="2.0dip" android:layout_width="fill_parent" android:layout_height="?android:listPreferredItemHeight">
<ImageView android:layout_gravity="center" android:id="@id/title_icon" android:layout_width="wrap_content" android:layout_height="wrap_content" />
<TextView android:textAppearance="?android:textAppearanceLarge" android:ellipsize="end" android:layout_gravity="left|center" android:id="@id/title_folder_name" android:paddingLeft="6.0dip" android:layout_width="fill_parent" android:layout_height="wrap_content" android:singleLine="true" android:layout_weight="1.0" />
<ImageButton android:id="@id/btn_back" android:visibility="gone" android:layout_width="wrap_content" android:layout_height="wrap_content" android:src="@drawable/ic_back" />
<ImageButton android:id="@id/btn_forward" android:visibility="gone" android:layout_width="wrap_content" android:layout_height="wrap_content" android:src="@drawable/ic_forward" />
<ImageButton android:layout_gravity="center" android:id="@id/btn_up" android:background="@drawable/control_button_selector" android:layout_width="wrap_content" android:layout_height="wrap_content" android:src="@drawable/ic_up" />
</LinearLayout>
<ImageView android:gravity="fill_horizontal" android:id="@id/titleDivider" android:layout_width="fill_parent" android:layout_height="1.0dip" android:src="@drawable/dialog_divider_horizontal_light" android:scaleType="fitXY" />
<FrameLayout android:layout_width="fill_parent" android:layout_height="0.0dip" android:layout_weight="1.0">
<ListView android:id="@id/list" android:persistentDrawingCache="all" android:layout_width="fill_parent" android:layout_height="fill_parent" />
<TextView android:textAppearance="?android:textAppearanceMedium" android:id="@id/empty" android:visibility="gone" android:layout_width="fill_parent" android:layout_height="fill_parent" android:text="@string/empty_folder" />
</FrameLayout>
</LinearLayout>
I have added the text in bold.. my problem is that the background does come when i open the filemanager. apk but when i scroll through the listview , the background dissapears and when the scroll comes to rest, the background comes back again..
This problem has been described in listview-backgrounds in android developers
but even after setting the cache color hint to transparent, the problem is still there
I have attached the filemanager. apk i have..
Any ideas ?
*EDIT: I Deleted a part in the code because xda blocked external links
bump...no replies yet ?

Mods for latest release of MIUI 3.7.5 here you have:
flash this trought CWM:
1. Center Clock with signal icons on the left
2. Center clock with themeded signal icon on the left
Signal icons are now separeted it means type connection and icon itself.
Also was themed battery top bar to white version.
Custom carrier logo in statusbar
How to do it by myself?:
Put this code to the res/layout/signal_cluster_view.xml. It depends where you want to place carrier logo if in front of the wifi or signal icons.
Code:
<LinearLayout android:layout_width="0.0dip" android:layout_height="fill_parent" android:layout_weight="1.0">
<ImageView android:gravity="center" android:id="@id/carrier_logo_id" android:layout_width="wrap_content" android:layout_height="fill_parent" android:src="@drawable/carrier_logo" android:scaleType="fitCenter" android:adjustViewBounds="true" />
</LinearLayout>
I placed carrier logo in front of the wifi icon so the code looks like this:
Code:
<?xml version="1.0" encoding="utf-8"?>
<com.android.systemui.statusbar.SignalClusterView android:orientation="horizontal" android:layout_width="wrap_content" android:layout_height="wrap_content"
xmlns:android="http://schemas.android.com/apk/res/android">
<LinearLayout android:layout_width="0.0dip" android:layout_height="fill_parent" android:layout_weight="1.0">
<ImageView android:gravity="center" android:id="@id/carrier_logo_id" android:layout_width="wrap_content" android:layout_height="fill_parent" android:src="@drawable/carrier_logo" android:scaleType="fitCenter" android:adjustViewBounds="true" />
</LinearLayout>
<FrameLayout android:id="@id/wifi_combo" android:layout_width="wrap_content" android:layout_height="wrap_content" android:layout_marginRight="-6.0dip">
<ImageView android:id="@id/wifi_signal" android:layout_width="wrap_content" android:layout_height="wrap_content" android:scaleType="center" android:layout_alignParentRight="true" android:layout_centerVertical="true" />
<ImageView android:layout_gravity="bottom|center" android:id="@id/wifi_inout" android:visibility="gone" android:layout_width="wrap_content" android:layout_height="wrap_content" />
</FrameLayout>
In values/ids.xml on the end of the file you have to put:
Code:
<item type="id" name="carrier_logo_id">false</item>
And next thing is tu put into the drawable-xhdpi your logo which have to be called carrier_logo.png
Custom Carrier Logo with CC and Themed Signal Icons
More tweaks are coming.
If someone is interested I have new UI design look of the statusbar. From the right to left: Signal icon, carrier logo, data type or wifi. Modded MiuiHome for smaller icons. And added some new statusbar icons like gps, adb debugging etc.

put this on the end of the values/ids.xml
Code:
<item type="id" name="carrier_logo_id">false</item>
</resources>
and finally put your custom carrier logo to drawable-xhdpi. Right name is carrier_logo.png and be carefull, for better view do not resize height more then 48px!

That's simple. In signal_cluste_view.xml you have to change position of linear layouts of those icons:
Original:
Code:
<FrameLayout android:id="@id/wifi_combo" android:layout_width="wrap_content" android:layout_height="wrap_content" android:layout_marginRight="-6.0dip">
<ImageView android:id="@id/wifi_signal" android:layout_width="wrap_content" android:layout_height="wrap_content" android:scaleType="center" android:layout_alignParentRight="true" android:layout_centerVertical="true" />
<ImageView android:layout_gravity="bottom|center" android:id="@id/wifi_inout" android:visibility="gone" android:layout_width="wrap_content" android:layout_height="wrap_content" />
</FrameLayout>
<View android:id="@id/spacer" android:visibility="gone" android:layout_width="6.0dip" android:layout_height="6.0dip" />
<ImageView android:layout_gravity="center_vertical" android:id="@id/mobile_roam" android:visibility="gone" android:layout_width="wrap_content" android:layout_height="wrap_content" />
<FrameLayout android:layout_gravity="center_vertical" android:layout_width="wrap_content" android:layout_height="wrap_content">
<View android:visibility="invisible" android:layout_width="6.0dip" android:layout_height="6.0dip" />
<FrameLayout android:id="@id/mobile_combo" android:layout_width="wrap_content" android:layout_height="wrap_content">
<ImageView android:id="@id/mobile_signal" android:layout_width="wrap_content" android:layout_height="wrap_content" />
<ImageView android:id="@id/mobile_type" android:layout_width="wrap_content" android:layout_height="wrap_content" />
<ImageView android:layout_gravity="bottom|right|center" android:id="@id/mobile_inout" android:layout_width="wrap_content" android:layout_height="wrap_content" />
</FrameLayout>
And after change of position:
Code:
<FrameLayout android:layout_width="wrap_content" android:layout_height="wrap_content">
<ImageView android:id="@id/mobile_signal" android:layout_width="wrap_content" android:layout_height="wrap_content" />
</FrameLayout>
<FrameLayout android:id="@id/wifi_combo" android:layout_width="wrap_content" android:layout_height="wrap_content" android:layout_marginRight="-6.0dip">
<ImageView android:id="@id/wifi_signal" android:layout_width="wrap_content" android:layout_height="wrap_content" android:scaleType="center" android:layout_alignParentRight="true" android:layout_centerVertical="true" />
<ImageView android:layout_gravity="bottom|center" android:id="@id/wifi_inout" android:visibility="gone" android:layout_width="wrap_content" android:layout_height="wrap_content" />
</FrameLayout>
<View android:id="@id/spacer" android:visibility="gone" android:layout_width="6.0dip" android:layout_height="6.0dip" />
<ImageView android:layout_gravity="center_vertical" android:id="@id/mobile_roam" android:visibility="gone" android:layout_width="wrap_content" android:layout_height="wrap_content" />
<FrameLayout android:layout_gravity="center_vertical" android:layout_width="wrap_content" android:layout_height="wrap_content">
<View android:visibility="invisible" android:layout_width="6.0dip" android:layout_height="6.0dip" />
<FrameLayout android:id="@id/mobile_combo" android:layout_width="wrap_content" android:layout_height="wrap_content">
<ImageView android:id="@id/mobile_type" android:layout_width="wrap_content" android:layout_height="wrap_content" />
<ImageView android:layout_gravity="bottom|right|center" android:id="@id/mobile_inout" android:layout_width="wrap_content" android:layout_height="wrap_content" />
</FrameLayout>

How can I just move the signal icon and the wifi icon on the left? Signal first then wifi, without center clock or anything, just signal and wifi.

[MOD][GUIDE][TW][4.1] Xperia Z2 styled Tabbed statusbar for TW 4.1 devices

Hi guys,
today with the permission of sir @SpaceCaker I'm presenting a modified guide of xperia z2 style Tabbed status bar for TW JB 4.1 devices........ so let's start and it's 100% sure that I'm only the sharer
Requirements :
1. Brain
2. Patience
3. Experience
4. Apktool or anything like it
How to add :
1. Decompile your SystemUI.apk
2. Go to res/layout/tw_status_bar_expanded.xml(if you're device is single sim)/tw_status_bar_expanded_dual.xml(if you're device is dual sim)
3. Now find this :
Code:
<include android:layout_width="fill_parent" android:layout_height="@dimen/tw_notification_panel_header_height" layout="@layout/tw_status_bar_expanded_header" />
<View android:background="#ff091a24" android:layout_width="fill_parent" android:layout_height="1.0dip" android:layout_marginTop="@dimen/tw_notification_panel_header_height" />
if you're device is dual sim
or :
Code:
<include android:layout_width="fill_parent" android:layout_height="@dimen/tw_notification_panel_header_height" layout="@layout/tw_status_bar_expanded_header" />
<TextView android:gravity="center" android:id="@id/emergency_calls_only" android:paddingBottom="4.0dip" android:visibility="gone" android:layout_width="fill_parent" android:layout_height="wrap_content" />
<View android:background="#ff091a24" android:layout_width="fill_parent" android:layout_height="1.0dip" android:layout_marginTop="@dimen/tw_notification_panel_header_height" />
if you're device is single sim
put this below it :
Code:
<com.spacey.xperiatabs.TabButtons android:gravity="center" android:layout_gravity="bottom" android:orientation="horizontal" android:id="@+id/spomc_xperia_tabbuttons" android:background="#aa000000" android:layout_width="fill_parent" android:layout_height="42.0dip" android:layout_marginTop="40.0dip" />
<com.spacey.xperiatabs.TabBase android:id="@+id/spomc_xperia_tabs" android:background="#aa000000" android:layout_width="fill_parent" android:layout_height="fill_parent" android:layout_marginTop="40.0dip" android:layout_weight="0.8" android:layout_below="@id/spomc_xperia_tabbuttons">
<LinearLayout android:orientation="vertical" android:layout_width="fill_parent" android:layout_height="wrap_content">
<TextView android:textColor="#ffffffff"
android:gravity="center"
android:paddingBottom="8.0dip" android:layout_width="fill_parent" android:layout_height="wrap_content" android:text="TAB-1 Notifications"
android:layout_centerInParent="true"
android:layout_centerHorizontal="true"
android:layout_centerVertical="true" />
</LinearLayout>
4. Now find this :
Code:
<com.android.systemui.statusbar.phone.CloseDragHandle android:layout_gravity="bottom" android:orientation="vertical" android:id="@id/close" android:layout_width="fill_parent" android:layout_height="@dimen/tw_close_handle_height">
there will be a </FrameLayout> above it, put this above that:
Code:
</com.spacey.xperiatabs.TabBase>
How to make tabs :
1. Each tab here is wrapped between a <LinearLayout----------</LinearLayout>
2. Noticed this above :
Code:
<LinearLayout android:orientation="vertical" android:layout_width="fill_parent" android:layout_height="wrap_content">
<TextView android:textColor="#ffffffff"
android:gravity="center"
android:paddingBottom="8.0dip" android:layout_width="fill_parent" android:layout_height="wrap_content" android:text="TAB-1 Notifications"
android:layout_centerInParent="true"
android:layout_centerHorizontal="true"
android:layout_centerVertical="true" />
</LinearLayout>
this is the first tab that is "Notifications"
you need to add 2 this
Code:
<LinearLayout android:orientation="vertical" android:layout_width="fill_parent" android:layout_height="wrap_content">
</LinearLayout>
.....the first one will be "Notifications" and the second one will be "Quick Settings" ...... so you need to put everything that you want on the tabs inside of the 1st/2nd (depends on what you wanna add on which tab) the <LinearLayout----------</LinearLayout> and after all this your xml should look like this
Code:
<FrameLayout
.........................
<FrameLayout
.........................
<com.spacey.xperiatabs.TabButtons android:gravity="center" android:layout_gravity="top" android:orientation="horizontal" android:id="@id/spomc_xperia_tabbuttons" android:background="#aa000000" android:layout_width="fill_parent" android:layout_height="42.0dip" android:layout_marginTop="40.0dip" />
<com.spacey.xperiatabs.TabBase android:id="@id/spomc_xperia_tabs" android:background="#aa000000" android:layout_width="fill_parent" android:layout_height="fill_parent" android:layout_marginTop="40.0dip" android:layout_weight="0.8" android:layout_below="@id/spomc_xperia_tabbuttons">
<LinearLayout
<CONTENTS YOU'LL PUT ON THE FIRST TAB Notifications>
</LinearLayout>
<LinearLayout
<CONTENTS YOU'LL PUT ON THE SECOND TAB Quick Settings>
</LinearLayout>
</com.spacey.xperiatabs.TabBase>
</FrameLayout>
<com.android.systemui.statusbar.phone.CloseDragHandle...................
</com.android.systemui.statusbar.phone.CloseDragHandle>
</FrameLayout>
3. Now extract and attach the contents of TabContent.zip to your SystemUI.apk
4. Recompile, sign, push, reboot and enjoy !!!

If you didn't understand fully how to make your tabs then you can compare your xml with mine :
Code:
