Battery - Nexus 7 General

Dang good battery. Moderate use
Sent from my Nexus 7 using xda app-developers app

I underclock mine to 51 MHz when the screen is off and it will last 24-36. At 1.6 GHz it will last 6 or so hours.

I made no changes to the system plus I played asphalt for thirty minutes and my brother cordy sky for an hour. Plus Google wallet at Mc donalds, and lots of showing off

that should go in this thread
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1748450
this thread is for battery moniter becuase it looks a little different,
but 8 hrs of screen time thats amazing!

4 hours of screen on time.

I'm running the jellybean leak and have been HEAVILY using my phone for the last 2 hours. I was installing over 100 apps that I mistakenly deleted yesterday. Well as you can see in the screen shots, even with heavy usage I'm still on par for 4 hours screen on time. Cheers!
Says 2 hours of screen time.

I think he was saying he had only used up 50% of the battery, so he should get 4 hours

I would be interested how it effects the score.

try 3.0version of antutu, someone got 17645on their nexus 4,it's amazing
Some of the reported low benchmarks are not matching real life use. Everyone is reporting EXTREMELY snappy gameplay and app usage on the Nexus 4. What's the deal?? This must really solidify the moniker that benchmarks aren't everything.

It may also have something to do with the 4.2 update. Just like two years ago when the Nexus S came out and quadrant kept crashing all the time because it wasn't compatible with GB.
can we get a quadrant?
Could someone please also run Linpack?
I think as what qreffie said, the benchmark software isn't optimized yet for the new phones and therefor it shows bad scores

Lg OG scored petty well here running ICS
http://www.gsmarena.com/lg_optimus_g_att_sprint-review-851p5.php
It feels like the N4 should score about the same. I also think it has something to do with the 4.2 update and the apps not optimised for it.

Using the XDA HD app won't allow the larger 104kb format.

Quite low. Not impressed.
Based on some benchmarks sure but after owning so many Google phones, Nexus 7, ASUS transformer, trying modified kernels and overclocks, ...my head is spinning, this is a totally different experience.

Don't worry folks!! When we get some custom kernels we'll see what this phone is all about.
My phone (Dual core s4 Evita) only got around 4200 on quadrant... and probably 170 on linpack which is fast as hell compared to most devices.. after a few months of development the phone is a completely different device. This device will be even better!! More source, bigger dev community etc.
This is what I get on my custom ROM at stock speeds with half the ram and half the cores.. just imagine what the nexus will be like by January

1.3Gb free RAM on my side like you
As far as I remember, this was not the case before upgrade.

This update fixed camcorder/photosphere/panorama underexposure for me. Not completely. But it's not unusably pitch black anymore.
Switch between camera and camcorder and there's a massive difference

Woah... you're right. I'm typically around 0.9 GB of RAM being used, but now I'm at 504 MB. As long as my apps still load as snappier as before, I think this is a step in the right direction.
my ram usage says 1.1gb free right now, ill check later what it is after i update to 4.4.2

The Apps screen is not accurate. Use CPU-Z to check available free ram.

This issue applies to all camera modes, except the still one. Plaguing presumably since day 1. I've always noticed it. It seems to have gotten marginally better with the updates. I used to get complete black videos/panoramas in dimly lit conditions, much unlike what the still camera gave. It's a little better now, but there's a noticeable difference in exposures. It has been documented and responded to here: http://productforums.google.com/forum/#!msg/nexus/UB5u0brAq68/k42GmRkZV0cJ

Agreed 5.1 inch screen while keeping it the same size of the nexus 5 would of been good enough,.
would be perfect especially with small to no bezel
Sent from my Nexus 5 using XDA Premium 4 mobile app
Thats wayyyy to big....Like @kornklown69 sayd, maybe small bezel.
5.5 sucks. 6 is about right
Sent from my Nexus 5 using XDA Premium 4 mobile app
5,5" are too much... I tried a G3 a month ago and also if the bezel are so small (i think G2's one are smaller) it's really too big...
AlessandroL9
Well, for one-handed use, it would be completly useless to me.
I already struggle with the nexus 5, as my hands are not that big.
Had the Gnex for the last two years which was just on the border of being to big, for one-handed use.
But I actually wouldn't mind a 5.5" screen as I use the phone, most of the time, with two hands anyway.
Was thinking about buying the OnePlus One, before I bought the nexus 5 a week ago, which is a 5.5 aswell.
Thought lg said that they haven't been asked to do a new nexus
Sent from my Nexus 5 using Tapatalk
People still read these crappy website rumors?!

5.5 is the future..even iphones are coming with a 5.5
My next phone will have a larger screen. I hope it's a nexus 6.
There probably won't even be a Nexus 6...

Honestly it's your fault for thinking a rumor topic that the moderators are going to lock would be taken seriously and not go off topic.
