Hello,
I was wondering if there is any ROM that has the HTC dock mode app, the one that comes with HTC stock OS.
If not, is there a way to install it afterwards?
I appreciate all help.
Yeh I guess you need to find the apk then put that apk into system/app then reboot

Thank you, I will try to find the apk then.
There is one in Nik's we want ics rom.

Entering the app works. I don't have a dock so I can't confirm about docking.

Yes, buy a Flyer lol. Just playing. Its built into Sense 3.0. Can't just download and install. A dev would have to port it over.

So once the gingerbread radio issue is resolved (hopefully soon!), we will be able to have this?
I loved Sense 3.0... sad day when I had to revert back to froyo. I generally wouldn't expect a manufacturer would be able to improve on Google's work, but HTC really does a good job.

Me too. Hated that I had to go back to froyo but I don't know if they can port it or not. The GB Roms for the Tbolt are Android 2.3.4 Sense 2.1 with Sense 3.0 pieces. Like a Frankenstein Rom. They might be able to port the app but not the widget.
Edit: I have the app on my Incredible! Warm TwoPointTwo rom. Just found it plus widget lol. No page turning. Just side scrolling.

Check out agile lock. Its an exact replica of sense 3.0 with customizable app shortcuts and the new version has the ability to install widgets on the lockscreen.

That's the right guys, but again - it seems dead. The last posts in that forum are dated for the end of May, before the thread on this site was declared abandoned. Many of us have been watching this for a long time, and it really doesn't seem like it's going to happen.

What about the launcher? It's just a launcher right? Like any launcher should just work. I can understand the rest of the parts being a problem but a launcher is just a launcher right? If not than maybe someone can clarify why

If I recall correctly, the launcher is baked into Sense, and Sense 4 uses a different framework than previous versions of Sense (You need the proper framework to have it work).
IMO, Sense 3.6 is ok. Only some "little" things diferent between 3.6 and 4.0 Like
-Transparent Notification Bar.
-Background color in Settings.
-Flip-style "windows feel" task manager
In this box, we easily find the transparent mod, and flip-style task manager.

Thanks for clarifying that. My flyer is similar with its sense 1.1 for tablets. Several people been trying to sense strip it but some things can't be changed such as the lock screen and menu colors due to framework differences

So because we will likely not be getting a stable cm9 or 10, I think the developers here should maybe be focusing on trying to port sense4.1 for our desire c. I think in one of Russell's posts he mentioned SeannyM ported sense4.1 from desire v during the early stages of his explosion Rom. I think a lot of people on xda including myself would be happy with sense4.1 so if any developers here want to do that then expect a lot of thanks

And many things don't work

haha it's better to wait HTC G2 with sense 5.0 and there would be nothing to resize. LOL
Resize images + xml sizes modification, is a hard job, it's like theming the whole phones images and adjusting measurements to from hdpi to mdpi. Thousands, unless it have mdpi xml settings u just have to resize images hundreds for each of every system app you see, lol. Otherwise it would just force close. Some needs smali editing too. Imposible unless ur htc just compile sense 4.1 to mdpi. Also until now there is none to edit r.9.png.

Forgive my ignorance, but would it be possible to just use a different launcher, instead of porting the HTC one?
I'm sure if it was that easy and straightforward though then you would have just done this..
In the following link, look at the first post and scroll down to where it says "Explos!on Rom". There you will find Russel saying that SeannyM ported sense 4.1
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=34465183
"The Explos!on rom, this rom is based on the nameless rom however, it has the ported Desire V sense which is still very fast and smooth. It has sense 4.1 and has the 3D home screen, this rom is built by SeannyM."

Am I missing something here or does the 4.2.2 really not have widgets on the lockscreen?

Sent from my HTC_PN071 using Tapatalk 2
Thanks to HTC, no. We have to wait for someone to make it so we can flash the stock 4.2.2 lockscreen. People in the ARHD thread got it to work by renaming or removing the HTC lockscreen apk but supposedly some could add widgets and some couldn't. That thread moves way to fast so I can't find any of the info for that now so have no idea how to get it to work or if it really does work.

I have renamed the lockscreen and now I have stock. But I can't add widgets to it. I saw some people on the arhd thread who can ....
Sent from my HTC One using xda premium
It's ridiculous that HTC didn't add this option.
Sent from my HTC One using xda app-developers app
for some reason if you dirty flash from a 4.1.2 ROM to a 4.2.2 one you get the ability to add lockscreen widgets to the stock lock screen (which you get by deleting HtcLockscreen.apk)
I suspect HTC removed whatever bits of system ui from 4.2.2 that supported them, and dirty flashing is the only way (so far) to get those bits.
Do they work on stock lockscreen?
Sent from my HTC One using xda app-developers app
And I thought Samsung's implementation of Lockscreen widgets was dumb... at least they can do it. Bad HTC, that's a very bad HTC. I'm gonna get a rolled up newspaper.

Mine works. I just flashed the 4.2.2 rom TWICE, then deleted HTCLockscreen.apk (or add a .bak to the end of it) and it worked. I went back to 4.1 right not so I don't have a screenshot, but it did work for me.
HTCs lockscreen system is bad enough already. You can't even have a different wallpaper than your home screen unless you are willing to lose out on the function of the other lockscreens. God forbid us being able to have a different wallpaper AND having notifications on our lockscreen. I really hope someone works on this. Because from what I can tell torxx and mike couldn't really care less widgets on the lockscreen. Torxx just told me to use something like widgetlocker but that thing causes lag sometimes and mike says he hates lockscreen widgets period.
