Hi guys. Have any of you used the i9000 headset on your Nexus S to listen music? It sounds horrible. But the problem seems to be more on the software side. On Voodoo control, if I use the mono option for the headset it gets better, but at normal volume it gets distorted. It's hard to understand if you cant listen, but has anyone tried it?
Thanks

hi
Its my first post here and i will try to explain my problem.
I have a note n7000 wich have an out of order sim support. Its not a problem for me because i use it as little tablet.
I tested some kernels and rom from xda and i actually use crash rom v10 with 240 dpi mod and speedmod kernel v13.
Since a couple of day i try to use s voice and others but it seems that no sound is recognize. It try soundhound and same problem.
Vocal memo included in the rom doesn t record any sound too.
So i thought my micro was out but it works perfectly in camera mode.....
Does any one have an idea ?
Have you tried microphone operation with a headset? Best to rule out where the problem lies.

Not a solution, just to verify if it's hardware or software.

With headset microphone all seems to work normaly.
Without headset skype and video are working well.
With the microphone headset, in soundmeter apk the initial sound level is about -8 -9db and it move normaly to 50 or 70 db when talking or whatelse.
Without the headset initial value is at -50db and doesn't move....
Using camera with headset get no sound in movie.
I don't understand anything.

The fact that it's working fine without headset on Skype suggests its not hardware related. What rom are you on?

I am on crash rom v10 lr1 lrt with speedmod 13 kernel
Have you posted in the crash rom thread? I would suggest its a rom issue.

Hello, I installed Omar Avelar's ROM, since I did this I can't hear music from other earphones rather than Motorola's stock ones. Any idea how to fix this?

I have a slightly different issue. I'm also using Omar's ROM. My headphones normally work fine but if I receive a call whilst the headphones are plugged in and unplug the headphones to take the call, when I plug the headphones back in the volume is very quiet in the right hand earpiece. The left hand one is normal. I use poweramp for music playback btw.
The problem just fixes itself eventually. Does anyone have any ideas? Thanks

Is anyone else having the issue where the phone has it's control for volume and the Bluetooth device has it's own? Possibly a 7.0 issue?

In my opinion I prefer this better. Now I always thought the my phone had a problem when it control the speaker volume and the phone together. And I think it's on the speaker. I mean I have several Bluetooth speakers some have their own volume. And other is together using the phone. It could be just the speaker.
