The Vivid is an arm 7 device... I used that one.

Gotcha. How's the functionality on it from what you've been able to test so far?

Everything works... Only thing I've noticed is that it is taking a wile for cards to show up. Right now I only have one, weather, but apparently that is normal.

Okay, so is this the one that requires a workaround for voice to work, or is this one (generally) fully functional?
Edit: Just installed it, seems like Voice is fully functional. Very nice!

It's very nice indeed. Flashed just fine with the wcx recovery that came with juobear for anyone wondering about that.

Only after a couple days of use I about four quick cards loaded including travel.
It is working great.

Great! I stumbled on this today and was hoping somebody had tried it on the Vivid. I'll have to go flash it now and give it a try!

Just fyi, I tried this on the Virtuous Inquisition ROM and it does not seem work, but works perfectly fine on the De-Sensed ROM from CodeFire. Not sure if this is a bug or something but just putting it out here.

It works on my Vivid with Holics 1.2/KozmiKKernel beta 13

Awesome mod! Works great!

Well I am happy to report that this is a very stable Rom . I still have the time zone warning if I select automatic time updates but I just leave it of and thats that. The random vibration issue is gone finally! Excellent battery life even with LTE 7hours normal use and did about 2 of those playing angry birds (no profiles set on set CPU so profiles should help more) Not bad
WC, thank you brother, nicely done as always!

Seems like there are 2 available and the developers have moved away from xda. One is made by Pirateghost and called Rum Float: http://blog.androidninjas.com/rom-dev/htc-vivid/rum-float/

Hi xda,
It would seem that I've jumped into this a little late, but what happened to make all the cooks leave xda and ignore the Vivid, Velocity etc.
Sorry but I've been away from xda for about 12 months while living in Blackberry-land.
I'd really like an ICS ROM for my Velocity without HTC's bastard 'Sense' bloatness.
Also - is getting root access to the Velocity as easy as it was for the HD2?
Cheers;

CM9 port is being worked on. Check the dev thread. Other than that, there are Sense ICS ROM's available, just not many here.. at this point.
As far as what happened, no need to stir up bad memories Look through some of the threads from last month and you'll figure it out. In the mean time, follow the golden rule, and the rules of the forum, and maybe they'll start trickling back in

IMO its the lesser of all evils. Every brand has their own "skin". So even if you prefer AOSP, you might as well get the brand with the best looking and best functioning skin. Of course there is the nexus phones, but those aren't for everyone.

Agreed. I just don't know that I could talk myself into the investment of a device that runs software that I hated, with the possibility of not be able to change it. Granted there are things being worked on now (CM9), but let's be real, this phone was released in November and to this point we haven't seen anything Sense-less (for reasons beyond the dev's control - just got kernel source 10 days ago fcs), it would be very tough for me to buy the device at this point if I hated Sense . I don't know how long shayla's had theirs though...

Well a month before sprint got 4.3 I was running 4.3 with sense 5. and we got a KitKat CM rom like a week after KitKat was announced. It wasn't perfect but It worked enough. Why would this be any different?

I never have... I ran Insertcoin for a few months, Elegancia, revolutionary, CM, Actually almost all of em (I am a bit of a flashaholic lol) and have never ran into that issue. Are you dirty flashing them? You usually need to wipe the Cache, data, and system beforehand.

Clean or dirty flash, doesn't make a difference. I have had it on InsertCoin, ARHD (my current rom), and some other various ones. It's only on sense roms, cm11 and 10.2 are fine, and I think that's because they don't have all the profile, prl update stuff. If you try to do either of those with that notification running, it says its already running, try again later. Viper didn't have it last time I was on the ROM. It would flash up upon boot sometimes, then it would go away. The rest of them never go away.
I'm grateful for all the development done for Sprint HTC One
lets just wait for an official sprint OTA release which has everything working
Yep, anxiously waiting. I'm constantly switching between 4.4 GE Roms and sense 5.5 Roms...
