Voicemail Notification - Captivate Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

this notification has been pretty annoying, so this is what happened:
i got a call and that person left a voice mail. my voice mail was integrated with google voice but the voicemail was set to "my carrier". When i checked the voicemail, i lost connection and it closed on me, so i turned off the device. I erased all the messages i had and rebooted the phone. When i turned back on i had the notification for a voicemail, but no voicemails. I was on stock 2.1 JF6 this whole time. I called the phone and left a voicemail, and erased that and turned off the phone and back on but the notification was still there. Its starting to get annoying, so please any help would be greatly appreciated

i just flashed to doc's master ics v12 and the notification is still there, could someone please help me get rid of this voicemail notification

Pls HELP! The stubborn voice message alert!

Hi All,
Firstly, Merry Xmas to everyone.
I have suffered by the voice messages alert after I upgraded my BA to Xploed AKU3.5. After I upgraded, my BA pop up a message alert for "You have 1 or more new voice messages.". After the alert pop up, I can choose "voicemail" or "dismiss", I tried to press voicemail, it dial up to my voice mail server but I've got no mail, I tried to press dismiss, but the alert logo don't disappear, it show on the top bar also. I have no way to "destroy" the logo!!! The voice mail logo and alert will pop up when I reboot my BA and will not go out! The logo and the alert will appear even I've NOT insert a SIM to my BA. I have tried to flash the BA and doing a new upgrade ROM process, it seems normal after I upgraded, but the situation will appear after a few day! It happened eventuality.
Can anyone help me to solve it? It really painful to me.
This isn't a problem with the phone, it's the network; I've had it on various phones. Whenever you listen to voicemail, make sure that you do not hang-up on the call until the icon disappears.
To get rid of it, leave yourself a short message then retreive it.

Only way i could get rid of the non-voicemail, voicemail notification was to do this as well, not phone problem but provider problem.
It's not a phone problem? But this happened even I've not insert a SIM to the phone!

No Voicemail icon

Hey guys,
Just got my voicemail option added to my plan on FIDO (canada). Im using it with an unlocked ROGERS HTC Touch Diamond. I don't see any icons indicating that i have voicemail, instead I get a text msg saying I have 1 new voicemail, or however many.
Is there a fix for this? I know some other members have problems getting it disappear, but I want mine to appear!
Cheers!
Hey guys, so here's an update
I downloaded that program called hushsms and was ablle to send myself a text message that enabled voicemail.
After i sent it, I got the icon in the top tray area. I also got this nice indicator under the clock that says "1 New voicemail"
Now I don't have any voicemail, but the icons both show up even after ive stayed on the line with my voicemail for a good 30 mins.
Here's the weird part. When I first sent myself the hushsms to enable voicemail, my TD's ring lights were going off. After I had listened to my voicemail, they had gone off.
Now, even though I have voicemail, and both indicators on my phone are on, the lights around the ring dont go off.
Any suggestions?

FRF83 Google Voice not pushing Voice Messages?

I missed a call earlier and the caller left me a message, but I didn't get the voicemail notification from Voice until 40 minutes later.
I double checked my settings and push is enabled.
I just tested it again right now with another Voice message and the Google Voice website is showing the message in my inbox, but my phone is sitting here oblivious to the message. My phone even just alerted me to an email, but still no notification of the voice message.
I may have to switch back to my carrier's VM or turn on the SMS. I can't be missing voicemails by 40 minutes.
Has anyone else noticed this?
Well it figures that as soon as I make a thread on it I fix it.
To fix this I went in and unchecked push in Voice. The first time I tried to uncheck it, it gave me an error. Then I tried again and it unchecked. Then I exited Voice and went back in to it. It was still unchecked so I checked it.
I had my girlfriend leave 2 test messages and both hit the phone instantly. Yay.
I'll leave this here in case anyone else has this issue.

[Q] Constant Voicemail Notification

I have an alert that I randomly got (no missed calls or anything) that says new voicemail. My phone is set to use google voicemail via google voice.
The thing is, is tht when I click the notification, it calls my google voice number, and I have no voicemails. I also checked the online client, same thing.
I also switched back to regular voicemail to see if maybe that was the case, but even after disabling google voicemail (#004#) going to voicemail calls google voice still.
Any ideas?
I'd also like to mention that the notification says
New voicemail
Dial (google voice number)
I've flashed several roms and it still appears.
It's extremely annoying..
Bump
I've posted this on several different forums with little responses and no solutions.

[Q] Help me get rid of the most annoying and persistent Voicemail notification ever.

A little history.
I just did a factory reset (stock rom) and when I rebooted I got a voice-mail message.
I had to manually input the voicemail number but I did it wrong, I put in 1123 ... (which is the WRONG number).
I dialed the voice-mail and noticed my mistake, so via settings I entered the correct voice-mail number (1233).
Although I listened to the voice-mail and deleted it, the message has been popping up in my notification area since then.
What I tried to do to get rid of it :
factory reset.
swap simcards with another phone. No vm message appears on the other phones. I haven't had the opportunity to use my simcard with another Android phone though.
install custom roms
revert to stock rom
disable Voicemail by my carrier
install HushSMS, trying the send a MWIVD (Voice Message Waiting Indicator DeActivation) but this option wasn't enabled
I you guys have any suggestions they are more then welcome.
Rob
P.S
Got a new phone, still the same voicemail message ...
