JB and SDcard vs external/

JB update: Did they change the path of the external memory card to /sdcard (rather than /external which resulted in many issues when trying to install large programs/games)?
Yes, it's now storage/sdcard1.
Does that mean you can now move apps to the external sd vs card?

Correct. Definitely a no.

This is bad. sdcatd1 is different from sdcard and so most apps will have problems, I guess.

SD Card removed

I have CM 10.1 on my tablet. I was running out of space for apps so I used an app called appmgr III and I was trying to move an app to the sdcard but it hung up. Now the system says SD Card removed Insert a new one. I've tried to reboot the tablet but does not seem to work

Reinstaiting cm10 would fix it but I did not know if I could fix it without doing that

Make sure that you don't go over the 50 app limit on the sd card , that will definitely cause problems.

Transfer media and apps to sd card

Hello xda world
I am new here,so i want to ask if there is a way to transfer media(pictures, songs, etc) or apps to sd card?
Also when downloading something is there a way to go to external memory and not to internal?
Thanks in advance
P.S. Sorry for bad English!

You clean send pics audio to sd card without at problems.
To send apps to sd card you will need root, if you have root use app called link2sd to send apps to sd,and use a program called folder mount to send game data to sd card.
By using these you will gain over 2-3gig of internal memory
But you will need root for these to work
Both are available on play store

You need to create a partition on your extnal card I use fat32 as stock rom supports this.
I have 32gig card and have a ext partition of about 3gig.
If you read this thread it explains what you need and if you have any issues better to ask there.

[Q] Saving apps to external memory?

My internal memory is full is it possible to install apps on your micro sd card? My phone is running cyanogenmod 10.1-20130509
Partition your SD Card from CWM (Copy your data to PC!!!) and install S2E/Link2SD, i am using Link2SD and it's good

Apps install to SD

I am getting this phone tomorrow. On my note I edited a vold.fstab file so that my apps install directly to my external SD card. Is their a way to do the same thing on the note 3?

Not sure you can install directly, but once they are installed normally they can be moved to the SD card with the app manager.
