hello,
I have a problem with my gps on my galaxy s. I still have 2 months warranty left. Is there a way to go back to gingerbread and reset the flash counter on a I9000?
Im not sure if the shop will check if the phone has been rooted or not...
Galaxy S doesn't have a flash counter (s2 does). What rom are you using currently? Stock/custom?
I'm on darky's rom V11 but i already tried other ics roms and the problem remains. all of a sudden i cant get a fix. I cant even find sattelites anymore. phone only sees them but cant connect. it worked good for almost a year and now i doesnt work anymore :s

Hello guys,
I'm having a problem with my Galaxy S, I'm noob w/ Android. I read many users(not from here) saying that Lagfix really does a difference in performance, excited, I downloaded GST(Galaxy S Tweaker) and without root, instaled lagfix.
Now my Galaxy S is working, BUT, the home button stopped working and the back button is working as home button, also the camera stopped working, the touch became horrible, I can only connect to computer using Debug mode and everytime that I turn on the cellphone, appears I9000B and before appear the S logo it changes to I9000.
There's something that I can do?
I'm really desperate and don't care if lose data. I only wanna my Galaxy S working as it should be.
Eh. What's the name odd your device. Sounds like you installed lag fix for the international sgs

reflash it back to stock or flash another ROM made for the I9000 or I9000M instead of USA variants
okay so I've had the phone for almost 4 months now and all of a sudden in the last month I have had serious data issues my internet will only work on some occassions and 99% of the time will say page is not available or i will receive a network error in marketplace or an app this is pissing me off because my smart phone is only becoming useful for what a normal phone is! the only things I have done is install Darky's ROM 9.2 im currently on eclair 2.1 because I tried resetting everything back to factory (getting rid of all flashings etc) and it has made no difference is there a fix or what's the problem? all help is appreciated THANKS!
normal phone is! the only things I have done is install Darky's ROM 9.2
Their is your answer like so many other broken phones .
You need to totally wipe the phone .
Suggest looking at the rom kitchin and make a rom with your required CSC for network .

I m having a weird problem wid my ph since i formatted my SGS to gingerbread 2.3.3 via kies ..
the phone crashes after arnd 7-8 hrs of charge n wont start back widout putting it to charge first.
My phone earlier went dead and was later repaired by the service center .. thats when this problem started .. before dat i was running SGS XXJVK kernel which worked pretty well. ..
is nyone else facing similar problem ???
Bcz Kies = ****.
Flash a new Samsung Rom via Odin
jvp for example, always for odin.
your battery obviously is wrongly calibrated somehow. To get it fully calibrated you unfortionately will have to do a hardreset with fully charged phone. switch phone of charge it to full battery while being of, switch on and type *2767*3855# into dialer.
Had this on eclair one year ago and this was the only solution for me (if you dont want to lose warranty like me back then) if you dont care about warranty there are several more options to get around

I am considering upgrading to 2.3.4 on my galaxy mini to solve the "sleep of death" problem... is anyone out there who has upgraded to 2.3.4 still having the "sleep of death" problem?
Whats sleep of death problem ?
It's when the phone is still "on" but will not wake up. The only way to get it working is to take out the battery. Many are reporting this happening every day or two.
Happens on i9000 for me, I just keep powerbutton pressed until it reboots. No need to remove battery.
I think i need to do a factory reset on phone + sd card someday, maybe it resolves it.
this happened to me too. just reset phone and when it starts, try to use the phone or just simply tap the phone every time it tries to sleep (anything works as long it doesn't sleep)... just keep on doing this for about 30min? or more
(make yourself busy while doing this cuz its gonna be boring just tapping)
I think it's related to hardware problem (not confirmed yet anyway)... Don't believe that "upgrade" could be the solution..
I actually hope so!

I just upgraded today using kies.... now when I try to start up it never gets past the step where it shows the "Samsung Galaxy Mini" text. Creating another thread for this problem.
With CheckFUSDownloader (thanks to Luffarjoh - search 3D) you can download the archive used to update your fw and, so, reflash it with Odin (even more times if needed)...

Nope, it's not hardware related. Never had a SOD since I used tjstyle's CM7.
Early Gingerbread firmware from Samsung has SOD too, but I think the latest versions doesn't.
Official firmware is now on 2.3.5, FYI.
If I can't get passed the logo screen what is the best way to get my firmware information? The guides say I need this info to choose the right rom.
Thanks!
This is a Froyo problem, didn't happen in Gingerbread :3
Yeah, had the same problem when on Froyo, after flashing GB2.3.4 the problem hasn't occured.
hi friends need help .
Last night i rooted my galaxy note with cwm.tar recovery and superuser.

galaxy note shve160s.
OK here's you're first problem, this is not the thread for your device. Second you may need to use Odin to flash your original stock ROM. Your stock firmware can be found at www.sammobile.com or samfirmware.com. If that doesn't work it maybe a hardware problem. Next time search XDA for your phone's model number. This thread is for SGH-T879. Good luck. P.S. don't use ROM manager to flash CWM If your exact phone isn't listed. You're lucky you didn't brick your phone.
