Yeah I'm looking in the market for a case.. But I wanted to see what you guys would recommend for a case I'm not trying to go over 20$ but that's without shipping lol...

I just ordered the yoomee case from amazon.
its only $6, techincically its for the fire, but fits the nexus perfectly, and even has a strap that you can put a magnet under turning it into a smart cover
geek.com has the article, but I can't post the link because i am a noob to the forums.
it will work until they start making quality cases that are form-fitted correctly.

If you want a good sleeve try the timbuk2 kindle fire plush sleeve, fit is nice and firm

INVELLOP smart cover case

I have one for my iPad and love the thing. I emailed INVELLOP and they said they are working on one for the nexus 7. It will be out in roughly a month.

I had one of these on a work iPad as well, really liked the case...really hated the iPad. I have the stock N7 case but I think this would be better.

Interesting. Looks great. Does the cover fold back properly? I ordered a Poetic smart case similar to this and fearing it won't lay flat when folded back.

Looks awesome! This is exactly the sort of case I'm looking for. I like the fact that the stock case fits the look and feel of the tablet, but it didn't seem to fold back properly, and I'd rather buy a case that has built in magnetic functionality.
Do you know if they ship to Australia? Every case I've found so far that fits my wants (unobtrusive, doesn't cover the bezel, looks decent, has magnets) can't be shipped to Australia.

this probably would have been the case i got if it had come out with the nexus. i've already ordered 3 other cases so gonna have to skip this one.

What ever happened to this case? I've been holding off on buying a case until this one came out but I'm starting to think I may have to look elsewhere.

I was looking for an invellop case too and found this one instead for my Nexus 7. It's the Poetic Slimline case. Only 1.7 cm thick. It's really sharp looking with a magnetic opening too.

Looking for a slim leather pouch

Hello guys.
I am searching for a new case for my note 2.
Currently i have a tpu case on the back but I want something different.
Thought to get a wallet case (spigen) but they are so bulky. Don't think that I will like it.
Now i decided to look for a slim and nice leather pouch.
I found one from buggati, mumbi, krusell luna and the original Samsung pouch.
Which one can you recommend or doym you have other nice options for me?

I just ordered one of these yesterday. I had one of their sleeves before for my Galaxy Tab and it was great. Good padding, well-made, very inexpensive. The protection on the sleeve seemed reasonable, though I cannot yet comment on this new item.

First I went with one $9 belt pouch from eBay that was junk (I can fit two Note II inside). In the past I had Monaco pouch with belt clip for my ol;d Samsung smartphone running Windows Mobile and it was the best pouch I ever owned so I did some search and found that Monaco has a horizontal (and vertical) pouch designed specially for Note II. It cost more than average pouch but I can assure you it is really a high quality product and N2 fits inside well. I've ordered it from here along with car charger to get free shipping:

Can you post a link to that eBay case or do you want to sell it? I'm looking for a belt holster/pouch that I can use with a case. The two I've bought so far will only hold the naked phone.

I don't like this horizontal case. The original pouch looks great and is really slim but I don't know how it holds the phone and how you can push the phone out of the case.

I had the 2nd one for my note 1, quality isn't good but for a cheap price i guess it was worth it.

So got the Waterfield case. It's a thin sleeve, won't really provide any protection from drops (just protection from scratches and scuffs in a pocket). It's not bad, and at $10 it seems reasonably well-made. Fits nicely. Really just a cloth pouch though.

Looks the same as the one you don't like but for $5 can't go wrong. I like it. It has rings as well as a belt clip. It also holds the note 2 with a tpu case on.

Portenzo Cases for the N10

Oh ho.... So tempting. Just concerned about the lack of a Pogo opening... How hard is it to insert/remove? Would it hold its grip after being removed/inserted many times over?

Finally a quality case for the Nexus 10...I'm tired of the cheap stuff on Amazon..:victory:

Cases on Amazon are cheap but they work. How can anyone justify paying $110 for a case? I'd rather buy a Moko case for $6 and invest the remaining $104 on my next toy.

Agreed, I think that's ridiculous and they don't even look that great. That's just an opinion though

I've been waiting for either this or the never-will-be-released-by-google case that you see in the official videos. I can't justify spending over a hundred dollars, but I'll definitely be getting the standard book case.
I was reading that Google is looking to open some retail stores.... Given the fact that they release next to no accessories for their Nexus products, I'm trying to figure out how these stores won't be barren wastelands with just a few phones and tablets on display.

Looks nice but I can't even imagine how uncomfortable it is

I 100% agree with you. I use the Moko ultra slim (currently $5.99 on Amazon) and it's fantastic. To each his own I guess.

I am certainly considering getting the leather case for it.
I am more wondering if the next Nexus 10 will have similar dimensions that I can just reuse this case for.
What do you guys think the odds are that google will change the dimensions of their next 10.1 device or two?
This case has the gel inside the corners to hold the tablet in place, I would venture you could put something smaller in there and the gel would still allow for a relatively snug fit.

Good lord. More than a hundred for a case? I bought my used 32gb nexus 7 for 175. I got two Moko cases for 12 bucks.

That thing is an inch thick. Why? Might as well carry a leather binder and just throw the tablet in there. Then you at least have some business cards, a pen, etc.

The tablet sits in a wood base, that's probably why it is so thick.

I sooooo want one, but I configured it up past $180!

I purchased one yesterday. Decided to get the bookcase over the leather one.
The leather looked amazing, but I felt I would get more bang for my buck with the bookcase.
At first I thought the bookcase was made of the fake pleather that most other cases has, but really, its meant to be built just like a hardcover book which is pretty cool.
When I get it I will let you guys know what I think.

I look at it this way. Just to get an opening for the camera costs the same as my perfectly functional poetic slimline....

Just got mine today...VERY nice case...it is the quality I was looking for in a case. The Nexus fits snugly with no problems and all the buttons and ports are accessible. If you can get passed the price you won't be disappointed...

what about the pogo charger port? is the port usable on the portenzo case? need to know for this is the deal breaker for me.

Samsung OEM leather case

I am hoping that the simple leather back only case from Samsung is premium and thin like the iPhone OEM leather case. Does anyone have any more detail on that case? Like height off the back and type of leather?

I want that case badly but doesn't look like it's coming to the USA, it's not on preorder on the Samsung website

It's not on Samsung's site, but I did find it on MobileFun (http://www.mobilefun.com/58017-official-samsung-galaxy-s7-edge-leather-cover-black.htm)
I know nothing about the retailer, but it seems like it's not going to be ready for 1 month, so that may be why Samsung didn't list it yet. I believe the same thing happened with the view cover when I got my Note 4, Samsung didn't have it for sale until a little after release.
I like it too, though Tetded, Sena, and Zenus seem like good alternatives. I only want a leather case.

The one case I'm really looking forward to is that case with the camera lense. I'm hoping it feels good enough to not have another case

For now, one can buy it directly from Korea. But even there, it ships after the 11th & is only preorder basis.
