Hello guys today I left the phone on 65% I slept from 5:10 AM and waked up at 3 PM about 9:50 hours I found the battery 66% very very good after a problem of GPS
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=30011204#post30011204
in this thread then I did "Flash the gps fix in boype thread"
then after trying gps and ndrive gives me no GPS after some trying then the battery was 80%(don't remember exactly but it was near to 80) and from 6 pm to 12 pm about 6 hours the battery drain from 80% to 30% (woooow!! amazing)
so why is it related to gps fix
Second Problem
I live in saudi arabia mean Asia before I did "Flash the gps fix in boype thread"
I got the gps signal in 6 mins first time I didn't try it again then I thought it was too long time(I was true) then I flashed the gps fix no ndrive tries to get the signal and then after some mins it tells me no GPS
So any solution
Third problem
some times when I open ndrive or modern combat 2 the phone freezes ::
Means the screen not response and all screen animation stopped and screen freezes completely untouchable and also the 4 led force to on only(not on-off-on-off)
So any help?
thnx all
First: sometime I did also have that problem, but not often because I don't use the GPS on a daily basis. Try to reboot.
Second: Download and install GPS Status, go to Tools -> Manage A-GPS and choose reset.
Now make sure that you have GPS enabled and try it hehe
The first time (aka cold start) could take several minutes. Future times it will get a lock faster.
And make sure you flashed the gps fix for your zone.
Third: try other governor in CM Settings. see if it changes anything.
PS: When you installed Huexxx kernel did you wipe cache and dalvik cache?

9: InteractiveX Governor:
Created by kernel developer "Imoseyon," the InteractiveX governor is based heavily on the Interactive governor, enhanced with tuned timer parameters to better balance battery vs. performance. The InteractiveX governor's defining feature, however, is that it locks the CPU frequency to the user's lowest defined speed when the screen is off.

Sometimes I get this issue, and I can tell within the first 3% of my phone's battery dropping. The first thing I do is a battery pull, that fixes it.
if that doesn't work it must be a setting or an application.
EDIT: from your usage, it seems that your phone isn't going to sleep. Try an app called Badass Battery Monitor from the market. It will show what apps are using your battery life. link here: Badass battery monitor
Try deleting some recently installed apps.

I had the same problem. First couple of days I got way more than a day and after that it got like my two year old Droid; It sucked.
Turned out that K9 was a battery hog and drained the battery for about 30 percent. Threw it out (though you can also do some adjustments to it) and got my old battery life back. Have a look at the stats to see what is taking up your battery and try to find a solution.
There's something preventing your phone from going to deep sleep. Take a look at 'Awake' and 'Screen On' lines at the bottom of your screenshot:
The right hand side of those two lines are as it should be - the phone is awake when the screen is on.
But the left hand side is wrong - your phone is awake with no screen on (meaning no user activity). Could be a rogue app running in the background and consuming battery juice. Why don't you investigate what you have installed in the past couple of weeks and see if some app is misbehaving.
Also, your WiFi is constantly on (look at the continuous fat line at the bottom). You'd do well to switch it off when not needed, or set WiFi sleeping policy in Settings/Wireless and Network/Wi-Fi Settings/(hit Menu button once inside)Advanced/Wi-Fi sleep policy.
Hope this helps.
I had exact same problem. I tested by removing recently installed apps until I found the culprit. Turned out to be Google+ in my case. Once removed battery was back to normal.
Some more tips on prolonging your battery life:
1. Flash and test different kernels in case of battery drain. Some are easier on your battery than the others.
2. Use Titanium Backup to freeze or uninstall crapware. This list is a useful guide as to what can/can't be removed from your system: https://spreadsheets.google.com/spr...SENVeXlqUm5vV0E&single=true&gid=0&output=html
3. Set Brightness to low value, disable autobrightness
4. Disable or scale down vibration and haptic feedback
5. Don't let your accounts sync automatically
6. Set screen timeout to 15 seconds
7. Disable fast dormancy (dial *#9900# and do it from there)
8. Don't keep your WiFi/Packet Data on all the time
9. Disable location services via wireless networks - are you travelling that fast that you need those?
10. GPS is heavy on the battery, therefore use it sparingly
Folks I followed some of these tips and this its the battery life I an getting on checkrom v5. Better than my old captivate....

I can't see a good reason for disabling autobrightness... in my opinion this option saves more power (in the long run indeed!) than its backgroundprocess will cost.

Of course.
I am currently using Marvel 11, with interactive/cfq. The phone constantly is at 300mhz, and doesn't sleep. I installed Wakelock Detector app and it showed me these Wakelocks. How do I get rid of these? Battery life with my phone is terrible.

Thanks for the reply, but I did everything on the list, except mobile data is on. But that didn't prevent the phone from going to sleep in boype's cm7. Any other ideas?
None of those wakelocks would cause what you said in the first post, the largest is only 31 seconds.
First, make sure your cpu is scaling properly, use cpuspy, that will tell you how much time is spent in each state.
Use a diferent app for changing govenor, i've noticed strange behaviour occasionally. Reboot phone, change govenor, reset stats in cpuspy, use for a few minutes, put phone to sleep for a few minutes, then check stats in cpuspy (you may need to refresh).
Correct behaviour is most time spent at 300, then 1000. 600 and 800 should be next to nothing. Sleep should be for virtually all the time the phone is off.
If problem persists, post logs from betterbatterystats.

What about the x356? Doesn't matter? Also, I already use cpu spy, which tells me that my phone is mostly on 300 mhz, not on sleep when the screen is off. Lemme try using Another app to change governor...Also, I tried what you said, if the screen is off for 10 mins, 6 mins is on 300 mhz. I currently use Wakelock detector, but I'll try using batterbatterystats.
The cpu is scaling properly, also sleeping properly. You have no major wakelocks (ignore wakelocks of seconds, worry about wakelocks of hours). The screenshots you posted show only 20 minutes after charging, leave all day then check wakelocks again.
I installed betterbatterystats, restarted phone, plugged my phone in for charging overnight. I didn't know that betterbatterystats resets data when plugged in, but overnight, with no usage, look:
Maybe it's a kernel issue? Should I try changing the kernel? I'm on N00by's kernel.

In betterybatterstats it shows kernel wakelocks and partial wakelocks. In your screenshot you've got about 8 hours of wakelocks, which is serious. Partial wakelocks are apps and are the usual reason for large wakelocks, remove the app thats causing the problem. If its a kernel wakelock, you can try a diferent kernel, though I doubt thats the problem because if noobys kernel was the cause, everyone using it would be getting the same problem.
Froze Google maps, restarted, left idle for ~an hour. Suddenly seems to be fine.
Let's see how it behaves overnight. Thanks guys
Hi guys. I've changed my service provider several days ago. Before that I've used 2g mobile operator with poor cover and internet. So I've bought 3g and inserted sim-card into my 2x. After that my battery disarched after 4 hours of sleep. Ok, I've switched to 2g only mode. It didn't fixed my problem. I've even disabled mobile data and it didn't worked!
With my previous 2g operator, my phone worked 1-2 days of full using, emails, mobile internet, music, youtube etc...
I use stable [ROM] [2013-02-08] CM10 on Unlocked ICS Bootloader (pengus77) and stable 100p5 Kowalski Kernel.
I'm living in Ukraine. My old mobile operator was "Life!" and new is "OGO Ukrtelecom" with fallback to 2g operator "Kyivstar".
Maybe I must change sim or BB? Can someone help me?
PS. Sorry for my bad english and russian screens.

And yes, I've wiped data/facrory reset, wiped cache partition, wiped dalvik cache, wiped battery stats. And yes, the phone was in deep sleep during this discharge (look at screens).

Thanks, I will do this!
So I've found the solution for better battery life:
1. v30b BB.
2. Pengus cm10 look ma no nands. (not tonyp rom, it has really crappy battery life for me).
3. kk123 and all optimization fixes in Kowalski manager, excluding dynamic fsync (unstable).
4. Greenify.
5. Disable all location services.
6. !Using ONLY wall charger, because kk isn't works normally with usb charger at this time!
7. !3g/2g only, NO wi-fi when not near wall charger! ( WCDMA preffered in *#*#4636#*#* )
8. Disable IMS in *#*#4636#*#* .
With this I can normally use my phone all the day without charging.
Here are some screenshots from better battery stats and CPU Spy

Well that translates to 33 hours of battery life so that's pretty good
This phone is different from others in that the lowest frequency (384mhz) is very high (my nexus 7 stays at 104mhz a lot), so minimizing the number of apps that make use of the phone when it's locked is key, as they would make it run at 384mhz, stamina mode is good with this but I assume you already have it on
So try to search for apps that use services that always run in the background and uninstall the ones you don't use very often
The same thing happened to my SP but only for 3-4 days after flashing a rom, then it was stable and the battery decreased from 100 to 15% after 2 days (light-use) or 24 hours (3G and Location based Wifi were on, without Stamina or Low battery mode enabled).
So, have u flashed rom already?

1% in 20 minutes when display is off. i charge my phone after 15-17 hours. that's how much it actually lasts.
Stamina mode is not enabled. i will try with it too in few days. thanks for the advice though

Hi
got big problem with battery life. But just when is on data usage. Not in plane mode and not on WiFi mode.
So last night set plane mode and go to sleep. Battery was on 42%. Woke up, turn off plane mod and turn on data usage. Battery was on 41% :good:
And did not touch phone screen in next 50 minutes. After 50 minutes turn on screen and battery was on 30%...then clean it with CleanMaster and HistoryEraser, reboot and battery was 20%?!?
So...in 1 hour with 2 minutes using 21% less
Once again...when is on WiFi there's no any kind of problem.
Did not said...just flash and ROOT stock BTU (british) unbranded ROM (from 24.10.2013. latest one) 5 days ago...and flash kernel for this ROM and flash recovery.
Found ROM and kernel on samsung-updates.com
I uninstalled many Samsung SW from phone and other SW i don't want to use.
Before BTU I had stock VIP (Croatia) and stock Taiwan ROM. And did not have problems with battery life.
Anybody can help?
Thank you
Check with Better Battery Stats app, and let me quess its RILJ that keeps your phone wake. No cure for that. Sometimes RILJ drains battery and sometimes dont, no matter what you do with your phone (somebody say its a Google location services blame for that, but I say its not, because I stopped it and still getting high RILJ wakelocks).
