[ROM] RedPill by Dorian - Only Link Inside

Hi Guys,
It's raining ROMS for the Atrix.
Dorian is in the process of uploading one more GB ROM.
v2 uploading
A lot of things have changed with V2. Here's a short change-log:
Tweaked Google Talk integration w/video. Is now more stable than before, with no noticeable issues.
Tweaked dialer interface. This one is a WIP. I'm attempting to cover all the blur parts that I intend on leaving behind in AOSP theming. It's still perfectly functional, just not quite done.
Email. Exchange integration is now implemented. It won't be using Blur or Motorola's backend. I've tested this feature with a test account from one of my Captivate users. No issues AFAIK.
Fixed camera orientation in front facing camera view. Also now truly supports 1080p recording with a slightly higher bitrate than before...
Blur "Social" app has been removed, along with all the filler bloat that accompanies it.
Vlingo has been removed.
GOLauncherEX is now standard, replacing LauncherPro. GOLauncher is smooth as glass! O_O
More is coming... along with deeper theming of the remaining blur apps.

Camera is 1080p capable... and the icon wasn't changed. The browser icon on the new AT&T 2.3.4 is horrible anyway though. If it's not a globe icon, it's just not the browser to me...

The developer of this rom, Dorian, has a solid background in rom development - I believe it was with the Captivate - and is well known by some of the staff on Atrix Forums, who speak very highly of the quality of his work. I'm downloading it now, and plan on giving it a shot, so I'll let you guys know how it goes.

I hope there will be a deblurred version of his ROM seems pretty good judging by the positive feedback on the forums.

Seems to be pretty stock to me aside from the icons and pulldown bar. Has the hdmi mirror app but it doesn't work.

this one does not have BlurHome.

Where is that sense-like clock widget from?

Why not just develop it here on xda?

I think it is mostly a theme. He replaced the launcher, but a quick look through the system folder shows he did not replace any other blur pieces, which is understandable moto has a stranglehold on the preinstalled apps.

Some ppl just dont like dealing with the Drama of devving here... cant really blame him for that - alot of members here can get extremely rude and nasty when a dev doesnt do exactly what they want, when they want it.

Because this is not a happy family place. If he misspells one word he would get screwed in the ass here. LOL, anyways he seems to stay on his own website and the smaller forums like the ones dedicated too the Captivate and Atrix. He has the best roms for the Captivate Ive been told.

How come I barely see any screenshots of custom ROMS offered on this site? Is this because they basically look the same as the stock ROM's?

I dont have any games on it..
Music works fine, allmost only played on Spotify. Video works fine in MX Video Player.
Can't say I have experienced any bugs... YET..
Edit: There is some small bugs on CM9, in general.

About this rom, do the tabs in the notification bar automatically switch between toggles and notifications when you have a notification?

i like the weather panel, but after i set to my country, it only show the weather icon, but not the temperature.
edit: Oops... my bad, it just works great. Thanks.

Same here, so don't showed any toggle.

Sad to we can't use all ICS mods because lack of drivers... We're getting left behind T.T

i quit XDA. No maintance this rom anymore. Happy porting by urself ^^

Keyboard backlight issue still the same...Keep toggling brightness to make it work or use 3rd party app
I couldnt find market
Su issue with terminal
Did not test anything else.Flashed back to Stock ics.
For a first time port it is fine.
NO disrespect meant to any of you guys...but this is by no means stable.the other miui ics posted on this forum is quite stable compared to this.I hope you guys dont give up ...the project has potential but will require more.hope to see future bug free updates

Thanks for the bugs list.. I'm in the movies with the other ics miui and this keyboard backlight issue is driving me crazy.. I have to type fast just so the backlight won't turn off before I finish typing..

Everyone has their own point of view....whats the point of having lights if we cant use them?and a lot of us use phones in the dark.the main reason people dont use the old ics miui Rom has the keyboard light.otherwise the old one was quite good...no theme probs or anything.Maybe you should use that as base?

Sorry to say this but not everyone worried about battery life.. like the other person said wats the point of having a backlight if I can't use it.. plz release an update with the backlight...

Anything you like Mate.I just want the backlight.as for the themes..no idea..su issues couldnt create the folder.a piece of advice..use 28spawn's Rom as base.that was quite bug free..the copy/paste in the framework wont break anything and it wont have the themes issue .

Hello,
This is my first contribution here :fingers-crossed:
Direct access to Phone, SMS, MIUI Notes, Sound Recorder, Camera, ICS Gallery, Calender and Home screen of course
Lockscreen originally from ColorMix theme.. I don't know the Chinese designer's name.. But, credits go to him anyway
I modified the lockscreen to work on my rom (Arconium MIUI 2.511):
- removed the link to Chinese Microblogging app
- fixed link to open ICS gallery instead of MIUI gallery
- changed date format in calender tab
- removed lunar calender from calender tab
- moved date, date and day from top right corner to lower right corner for more space up
- new graphics.. black and white only
double tap on the bottom to open music player, controls show on top left (no album art)
download and install Genie Weather Widget to see the weather updates on lockscreen (in attachments)
ps: I've modified this for my self.. so bare in mind the screen resolution is my Arc S resolution (485×820)

You can change that in Genie Weather app. I use metric (so celsius) since I'm in Europe
Away from that, I'm glad you like it.. Though I didn't take in my consideration the on screen buttons / mod :laugh:

Well, I think the tricky part for me was getting the ADB DRIVERS installed fully/correctly. Install the drivers from any resource that you meet so from Flashtool, Fastboot and USB Drivers.. Just install them all!
Then you need to flash the stock .562 kernel... somehow its easier to root your Arc S with it, and don't worry once you're rooted you can revert to .587
Then use the rooting tool and it should work. Just get the ADB Drivers installed from various sources and flash .562 kernel
Or otherwise, you still can unlock your bootloader and get it locked again
