Please someone tell me is there any working 15toggles status bar mod for DDLR6 Indian ROM 4.0.4?

This one should work on LR6 http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1795864
But make sure you delete systemui.odex file from system/app folder before flashing this theme.

Are you sure you have deleted odex file? and need to reboot after placing files.

Thanks Dr. I have deleted the odex file. after placing the files before changing permissions the phone hung, so i rebooted and changed the permissions, then rebooted again. the SD Card message appeared from the first boot but i have no problem using the card. The Sheild SU access started 2 days after installation. Once i restored the backup there were no problems

Hi Dr. Just installed the 15ui toggle but still getting the sd card message "security policy restricts use of sd card" I misquoted the error message earlier.

This msg appears in newer ROM, just ignore it, it has no issue with function.
Another report is that this appears if you have set any active sync account.

That's what I have on Stock LR6 using root explorer only.

This is 15 toggle only, i use only 5 , check end of post #2 on http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1817596
Just follow instruction in the downloaded file and you will get 15 toggles with stock look, I then replaced systemui.apk with KD's modified systemui.apk and got the transparent look and blue color on status bar.
I am on LR6 but it should work on all 4.0.4 roms.

Download file from the link above, you will get two .apk files in "app" folder and one in "framework folder", follow instruction in the "note.txt" inside the folder and you will get working 15 toggles. For circular battery or transparent theme, you can replace the systemui.apk with any modified systemui.apk for 4.0.4, you can get lot of such themes in themes section, extract systemui.apk from choosen theme zip and replace in system/app, changing permissions properly.
I am using one which I extracted from Kingdroid rom.
Make sure you backup original ,apk and .odex files before doing this.

[HELP NEEDED!!!] Question about editing apps & rebuilding them

OK so I have an app/game that was in .apk format & then I renamed it to a .zip to edit it. I edited all the images in the drawable folder & that's all I want to do. Now how do I make it back into a .apk so I can play it on my G1? Here is all the files I have for it:

You need to rename the .zip back into an .apk file, but that won't be enough. You will have to resign the .apk so you can make it run on the G1.....there is alot of background required for this step so you should start reading up on it.
Start here.
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=471586
There is a lot of good info in the post. Pay particular attention to the links associated with "signing .apks" and follow the links for more info. The ultimate goal is to get to the point where you can right click on an .apk file and just click the resign option. That option will only be present after you read, understand, and download/install the files necessary for it.
Good luck

if you simply wanted to edit the images in the drawables folder, find the original apk. take all the new .png files you have changed and edited and drag them back into the proper folders within the original .apk file. you should NOT have to resign. now just adb install.

But don't you have to be rooted for adb install, cuz I'm not rooted & I don't think I will be rooted until Cyanogen is back to making 1 flash updates & use of his OTA app to get the updates.
*edit*
I also want to be able to disribute the apps I customize for others to use, & them not have to go through much trouble to install them.
not necessarily, i believe ADB is simply a function of the SDK. you could also just place the apk on your sd and install using linda file manager or an app of the like.
customizing is a tricky situation... you need to make sure you arent violating user terms/agreements when re-distributing software/apps
I ahvent been able to get resigned apks to work resently either not sure whats up

Well what if I want to use the lynda file manager to install it and not adb install it & the phone won't let me install it? Is it still a signing thing or maybe does it have to do with the passcode the dev uses to make the app? I remember reading a tut that said something about a passcode...and what if I want to change some of the .xml files to make some buttons say different things or change colors? Would I need to resign it again?

Its not that i have always edited and resigned apks in the past i jsut noticed recently they are failing.. im not sure if it has somehing to do witht them being built on the 1.6 sdk or not i havent had the time to check if the resent apps iave tried are 1.6 or 1.5

cant be, I modified Teeter to run on latest roms without the HTC framework, using sdk 1.6.
i think you should check how you resign the package. there are a few 1-click signing tools available.

ATTN: (UPDATED 9-25-11) ColorMod theme for GWK74 (2.3.7) can be found here
This is a port of JBabey's ColorMod theme for CM7. When I had my EVO I asked him if I could port it to SalvageMod and now I'm working on it for the NS4G
I consider this a WIP. There are a few things I want to see fixed, such as notification icons in statusbar and more themed apps
I am more than willing to try my best to fulfill requests, however my semester is starting soon so we'll see what I can do!
Here are some screenshots

Awesome! I look forward to it.
When the update comes out can we just flash it over the existing mod or will we have to flash back to GPA17 first? Only change I made to it was putting the stock phone.apk back in. Wouldn't mind a different phone.apk but just didn't care for the bear. Love everything else. Thanks for taking the time to make our phone experience a better one.

Thanks man that was really nice! I just finished making the dialers, there's 4 different ones including the stock one to choose from.
To be honest, I've gotten a little bit better at doing this stuff the last few weeks and I really wanna take this in a different direction. My plan is to make some touch ups with the original theme, that one you can flash right over the old
If I get some stuff done with the other theme, probably gunna have to flash the ROM, then the different theme. You won't have to erase your data or anything
But we'll see what I can get done. I've had trouble editing the current ColorMod with my statusbar tweaks so I'm trying to find a medium there
Thanks for your input man!

Remove color mod?
Thanks for your efforts making this great looking mod, but if I want to remove the mod is there a way to do it restore one of my really old backups? Ive been using this for such a long time that my last stock buglesspete nandroid with out your mod is really old. Im probably overlooking the solution, I was just wondering if there was like a "remove color mod.zip" floating around out there or something
again thanks for your work!

Thanks for the response. Yeah i hadnt tried just flashing the rom again. I figured that that would probably be the easiest fix, but i wasnt sure how "deep" your mod went. About the zip, Ill try flashing rom again first. Thanks though.
Yep so just flashing the rom again did the trick, I just had to re-flash mathkid's kernel. Im sure Ill be back in color mod land soon enough, I just wanted to see if there was any change in batt life with Matrix 7 with and with out color mod. thanks again!

[MOD-PORT-ZIPTHEMER]Change backgrounds and other stuff to black in ICS and AOKP

Hey,
just decided to share my port of very simple mods Belipe made for ICS and AOKP on the Gnex on Rootzwiki. So all credits goes to him, check out his thread for further explanations etc. here http://rootzwiki.com/topic/20688-zi...ngs-background-and-some-other-stuff-to-black/
THEY ARE NOT FLASHABLE WITHOUT RUNNING THROUGH ZIPTHEMER FIRST!!
Check out my quick tutorial for install at the end of the thread
ToogleBG to Black (BlackToggleBG-AOKP.zip) FOR AOKP
{
"lightbox_close": "Close",
"lightbox_next": "Next",
"lightbox_previous": "Previous",
"lightbox_error": "The requested content cannot be loaded. Please try again later.",

"lightbox_download": "Download",
"lightbox_share": "Share",
"lightbox_zoom": "Zoom",
"lightbox_new_window": "New window",
"lightbox_toggle_sidebar": "Toggle sidebar"
}
This one basically just changes the png in the framework responsible for the background in AOKP's Tooglebar. All I've done was just fixing the path the Nexus S framework is using.
Change Grey Gardient background to black (blacked-out.zip) FOR EVERY ICS ROM
Again simple png change, I fixed some data in the XML and its working fine.
Popups throughout system black (blacked-out-Popups.zip) FOR EVERY ICS ROM
Changing Contacts App header from blue to black and dialer background to black (BlackAccentContacts.zip) FOR EVERY ICS ROM
How to Install these Mods:
Installing these mods goes through Zipthemer which creates flashable CWM updates. Nandroid always recommended
1. Get ZipThemer right from the marked
2. In Zipthemer: Options/Update Edify - Click Browse and choose your ROM.zip (AOKP Build30 in my case)
3. Go back, press +Theme and choose the zip you want to build (you can choose multiple mods at once)
4. Press "Build It" and it creates the CWM Update.zip on your sd-card
5. Boot in CWM, wipe the caches and flash the update
6. Boot back in system and have fun
Thanks again Belipe from Rootzwiki for the screenshots and the mods for sure.

Glad you like it all
Yeah it's not that clear I see it. The Mods are compatible throughout every ICS Rom but the BlacktoogleBG for AOKP is basically just for AOKP since no other Rom is using these specific as a background.

Yup, I guess I missed selecting the edify configure. I added the toggle background on top of Amoled Blue since dialer background is already black. It works great! Thanks!

So I was able to do all the zips last night, but today i cant get the one for the dialer to work. I get message that something like "cannot find a theme control". Any idea?
I just tried to go into the zip thru winrar and it says that the file is damaged. Can you take a look at it, might be a bad zipe.
thanks

Since I don't know much about operations like this, I can't really tell but it sounds not impossible for me. It's maybe done when we just make the png's transparent with some photo editor. What exactly do you want to make semi transparent, the ToogleBG for AOKP?

Ok, yes everything in the background.. i see many AOKP themes transparent around so i found your mod.. the drawer must be 80-90% transparent already? then shange the toggle background to a transparent hex in xml and a png in systemUI and it shuld work right?
Edit: allso all the notifications.. ;D

The mods should work throughout every Android ICS and AOKP system for every phone when the path of the files are correct.
You can check the path for the files when you open up the mods and your framework-res.apk with winrar for example. When they're the same, the mod works out of stock, when they're not, they need correction. Depends on the DPI the phone is based so the folders are.

[GUIDE] Working inside Root Directory

Can't change lockscreen wallpaper after flashing a rom? :crying:Want to fool your friends by changing andorid version?:victory: Want to apply bootanimation?:good: Here are your answers!:highfive:
Once your phone is rooted, you'll have access to root directory of your phone(initializing geek mode)!
You'll need an explorer, many are available on play store eg ES file explorer. I'm using root explorer.:good:
Following apks are attached below:
Email.apk- Stock Email Client
Memo.apk- Stock Memo Client
Genie Widget.apk- Weather Widget
DeskClock.apk- Stock alarm clock
LiveWallpaperPicker.apk- For enabling use of live wallpapers
FMRadio.apk- FM Radio
Talk.apk- GTalk
Flashed a new ROM but can't change lockscreen wallpaper
Your new ROM does not include the original Galler3d.apk file which is required to change lockscreen wallpaper. This file is present in stock rom and is useful to be backed up but can be found by little search effort. Neverthless i'm attaching it at the end of post!:angel:
1. Open your explorer.
2.Mount system as r/w (deafult is r/o)
3.scroll down to sdcard/ then copy your file from where it is located on your memory card and paste it to system/app
4. Long press app and then click on permissions. Change permissions to rw,r,r (photo attached below). These are universal permissions, u can push any app to the system and copying it into system/app and then changing permissions!(eg. FM Radio, attached below)
5. Reboot and you're done!:good:
Note: Any system app can also be removed from system by deleting it from the system/app folder. Such as Weather, Homescreen tips, Email etc. This can be used to increase internal memory of the phone:laugh:
Change everything in "About Phone" Section
1. Open your explorer.
2. Go to system/
3. There's a file named "build.prop"
4. Long press and then open in text editor.
5. ro.bild.display.id - your ROM/Android name(Default: GINGERBREAD.XXLA2)
ro.build.version.release- your version number(Default: 2.3.6)
6. Edit, Save and Reboot!:good:
Workaround: Download an app called build prop editor form play store and edit build.prop easily!:laugh:
CHANGING YOUR BOOTANIMATION
Our friend Lalit Patil has done great work here. Check this thread for all details
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2126329
CHANGING SYSTEM SOUNDS
Alarms, Ringtones and Notification Tones can be changed easily using third party apps. But your new ROM might not include your favorite tone from previous ROM. So you can directly push the audio into the system.
You can also change the sound of camera click, usb connection and other internal system sounds.:victory::good:
Note: All system sounds are of format .ogg no other format will work!
1. Open your explorer
2. Mount system as r/w
3. Go to system/media/audio
4. Folders: Ringtones, Notifications, ui, Alarm
5. Edit, Add, Delete whatever you want and then change permissions to rw,r,r:good:
6. Reboot if required!
PS: Since you are working in root directory, make sure you make a backup of everything you are editing/deleting etc:good:
PPS: I am not responsible for any kind of damage to your phone. Above procedures however have been tested and don't result in malfunction(atleast for me)
I'll add more stuff if i come to know about some!

EDIT: Worked....Don't what was wrong in first try. Anyway. Thx for the guide
Another question. I was looking if i can change the Bootscreen, cause i dont like this Google one. In the guide its writen I need a custom kernel. is that true? i mean i have intalled JB and it changed the bootscreen too, but i still have the Stock Kernel I think.

Well, you can apply bootanimation on stock kernel...Custom kernel provides more features and compatibility that's why it is preferred...Be ready with a CWM backup if anything goes wrong!
PS: It's always good to flash custom kernel as it allows installation of many tweaks!:good:

You must mount system as r/w. There's a option for that...only then you can write files in the folder! Default config is r/o..Change it!

I also read many things about bugs in kernels like, freezing while phoning or something like this.

The easiest way is to install it via odin. Turn off your phone then press volume +,volume -,power button simultaneously to enter to download mode, then connect ur phone to pc via usb cable. Open odin and put your kernel on pda.
Link for kernel, download it. http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=34843147
Read guides in the forum, its not that hard I tell you.

its find...no need to sorry...
1. I can add swipe to remove in systemUI but if your in stock it needs to
modify framework.jar too or else it will give fc...so dont worry ill add
framework.jar for swipe to remove...
2.its simple to remove that open my Zip file with winrar go to system/app
open double click on SystemUI go to res/drawable-ldpi find stat_sim_gsm_1 and stat_sim_gsm_2
just drag on your desktop edit with
photoshop or gimp by using eraser tool so it will be transparent and put or drag it back again..
3.Cant do that battery was from framework-res this mod is for Stock
SystemUI only...
so Number 1 will be included in to do list...
will update it when ive got time..for now back to my rom update...
edit:
will try to add Number 3 in to do list...hope it works...
