Project LARD
CWM: Project-LARD-n7000-Utacka.zip
Files provided by g.lewarne
What is project LARD ?
Project LARD is a implementation of newer, pure JellyBean samsung drivers for the following
- Mali GPU
- EGL drivers
- GLES drivers
They are simply kanged from the Note2 system dump with no other changes. Its not quite Butter, its LARD.
Can be used on official nightlies aswell and probably other cm10 based rom

thank you so much mate...ran out of Thanks, but really appreciate your effort
auto rotate doesn't work with 11/8 bulid
So we have daily updates here, or you can not call it nightlies.
I just installed the 11-08 Version. As already said landscape rotation does not work. Good is that long press recent apps is working in hybrid mode.
Gesendet von meinem GT-N7000 mit Tapatalk 2
push libakm.so from preview 3 to /system/lib/ with correct permissions and you'll have rotation. it's just not there.
Thanks that works...

yes and no, I will be checking http://changelog.bbqdroid.org/#/cm10/undefined for changes made to our device and if changes are made I will start a new build! the time can vary a bit on when I build depending if I fall asleep after work! I work on the evening and early night! CEST (Central European Summer Time).
I can start a cronjob and make this process more or less auto but I really don't want to make builds if there are no changes for our device.

if u can post the change log when u update daily as well, that will be good
Nightlies does not necessarily imply that you will have a new build waiting for you every morning.
Also, OP has been kind enough to provide us with these. He has mentioned explicitly that he will not provide support for it. What's more, he has also listed links to the Official Discussion and Development threads. No reason for you to complain or discuss about screen rotations etc.

cm-10-20120811-V2-UNOFFICIAL-n7000
New build uploaded and now includes "libakm.so" so screen orientation will work.
For some reason it still say that it is the same build as previous one on build.prop but its false info! It has the latest repo changes up-to-date! It might be because there where no changes at 2012-08-12 just of yet that it didn't bother to change build.prop. anyway have fun!

What do I need to Flash Bindroid?
A rooted galaxy Tab
Clockwork Recovery Installed
How to flash BinDroid?
Download ROM from www.bindroidroms.com and save to the root of your SD Card
Boot you Gtab into ClockworkMod Recovery
Select "install zip from sdcard"
Select "choose zip from sdcard" and choose BinDroid_Rom.zip
Reboot
Apps on Screen:
Launcher: Go Launcher HD
Icons/app above NavBar: LaunchX Pro
Scrambled Screen on boot
This happens because the rom zipaligns apk's on boot.
Can I use a custom kernel
The TouchWiz kernel from pershoot is compatible with this rom
I have less RAM on this rom
This rom has ALL apps that come from the original rom, and has a few more extra apps added.
This might be why you have a bit less RAM.
Why does this rom have so mush free space on the "system" partition
The rom is installed with an advanced file system.
All apps are placed on "data" partition, and then use a symlink to the original place.
Thank you very much for this new rom. downloading......
sweet looking ROM
Another ROM for the Tab. Thank you, downloading now, will report bugs etc.
If I wasn't already very satisfied with Task650's ROM, I would definitely try this out. The custom theme there looks like a pretty good reason to try this out, too.
I'll be keeping my eye on this.
THX, for trying this rom.
I was only able to test it on my own Gtab.. So let me know what bugs you find.
I have a different way of installing the rom, and this will give you a very clean system partition.
Only the first parts of my skin is in, and more will follow.
If you like to test the Release candidates, and help me test the rom before we go live, send me a PM.

Damn it. what a sexy baby!
Flashed the ROM. Looks beautiful, it's the 2nd ROM I've flashed so far for this Tablet since I purchased it and the visuals are great. I can't judge the battery yet, but it is very smooth. For anyone who needs a screenshot, one is below:

CyanogenMod is a free, community built, aftermarket firmware distribution of Android 4.0 (ICS), which is designed to increase performance and reliability over stock Android for your device.
Code:

* I am not responsible for bricked devices, dead SD cards,
* thermonuclear war, or you getting fired because the alarm app failed. Please

* you point the finger at me for messing up your device, I will laugh at you.
*/
CyanogenMod is based on the Android Open Source Project with extra contributions from many people within the Android community. It can be used without any need to have any Google application installed. Linked below is a package that has come from another Android project that restore the Google parts. CyanogenMod does still include various hardware-specific code, which is also slowly being open-sourced anyway.
All the source code for CyanogenMod is available in the CyanogenMod Github repo. And if you would like to contribute to CyanogenMod, please visit out Gerrit Code Review. You can also view the Changelog for a full list of changes & features.

Q/A Post
Q/A:
I have an extrange green color at boot and when I have automatic brightness setted, what can I do:
Go to crespo setting and change in gamma the values: ( by default values on google are 0,0,0 but I suggest you to explore the best you like) for me is:
RED: 50
GREEN: 46
BLUE: 46
How can I do to make a clean install?
Read that post http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=20485148&postcount=146
I have 2 times gallery app repeated and is buggy:
Install again gapps. This happens because you updated and no installed gapps after installing.
I need to go root with adb, but it doesn't work:
adb root
After you can type "adb remount" or simply "adb shell" and you are root.
How can I do to enable KSM?:
Settings -> performance -> Memory Management -> Kernel Samepage merging ( KSM )

temasek's UNOFFICIAL BUILD 135.4 - FINAL
NOTE
This is an UNOFFICIAL build of CM7 ( CyanogenMod 7 ) for p990 and by NO means this is my ROM. I am just compiling from CM Source and 100% credits goes to TeamDouche, the device maintainer of p990 Ricardo Cerqueira and all other coders who contributed to CyanogenMod.
This is similar to a nightly from CM but has some e8tra goodies baked in. If you can't handle some things possible being broken, please don't use this and then complain to me for building it.
NEW builds will be uploaded to http://temasek.hopto.org first. The other 2 sites will be uploaded with the builds at a later time. The new download site courtesy of Vadonka
- I'm back doing CM7 unofficial builds for now but pls do NOT expect daily updates. My day job currently is a hell lot busier than ever.
- File renamed as RCx-XX to reflect current status of Release Candidate.
- This unofficial build comes with 218 RIL
With effective #100, all builds are with PDroid frameworks. PDroid is the privacy protection framework (see svyat's PDroid thread). All the credit goes to svyat. Also credit to pastime1971 for his CM7.2 update patch of PDroid.
PDroid source updated from v1.27 to v1.32
PDroid Changelog
1.32: Fixed updating from version 1.27 and below
1.31: Fixed patching incompatibility with some ROMs (like Zeus v5)
1.30:
Fixed the alarm being put to snooze every time a call is received or made
Fixed FC for some applications (like Yandex Maps)
Fixed bootloops for AT&T and SonyEricsson devices (hopefully)
Many small tweaks

a permanent solution for NITZ fix
well, you gotta love all kinds of possible customization in android aka linux.
beside /system/build.prop (which is updated every flash), /data/local.prop can be used to define any custom property.
i moved "ro.telephony.nitz=GMT" to /data/local.prop, which will stay on your phone (almost) permanently.
now you don't have to flash NITZGMT.zip every time you flash cm. just data_local_prop_NITZ_GMT.zip once.
data_local_prop_NITZ_GMT.zip for SU660 0824BB/RIL & SU660 1120BB/RIL users
data_local_prop_NITZ_revert.zip for those who revert back to other BB/RIL
edit: also you can just edit /data/local.prop with any text editor. (just need root)

I believe if you don't use Automatic Time but use app lilke clocksync to sync your time, then you don't require to flash the above NITZ fix.

happy new year everyone, and many many thanks to temasek...
Probably I shall rest a day or so w/o builds.
Enjoy your holiday guys.
Hey temasek,
I just realised the CRT animation is gone with the newer versions.
Is there any way to enable them? It is not as simple as enabling them in a xml right :S

Nope, still around.
Settings -> CM Settings -> Display -> Sceen-off animation
But your spareparts -> Windows animations -> at least NORMAL settings (to enable u to see CRT animations)
Compiling a build for testing........

I know why .. because we are a quite small group of users , compared to devices like the Nexus S , oder the HTC Desire HD etc.

The Google Chrome and GAPPS is quite easy to fix. Just look at the permissions from the gapps flasher and set them correctly. I suspect Google Chrome has a lib file that it can't access. After you install Google Chrome normally look in it's data folder /data/data/com.google.something and go into lib if there's a file there something.so it needs to be under /system/lib if you have it installed as a system app (or normalapp since it didn't copy it to the relevant folder since it's not actually installed just copied). If theres no file under lib then this is not it.
If you wan't more speed ODEX it and preload the classes like the Official Port does. (If you already did this then ignore it)
EDIT: I don't have the ROM so if I might be wrong.
EDIT2: why do you say you have to wipe cache and dalvik again? If it's necessary there's something wrong in your updater script.

Stay Tuned.
thanks..i'll give it a try as i find official shendu very promising. hope this one wont fry my phone!xD

I assure you it won't, Unlike Mercurified, which just releases recklessly, MercurySandwich undergoes tests before being released. So if this ROM fries OB, i will be the first one.
EDIT
AROMA HAS BOOTED.
Now Edifying.
Users will now be able to update from older versions without wiping cache
Users will be able to choose ShenDu Launcher etc.
GAPPS will also be added
i used the rom for about 15mins then reverted back to official shendu.
major bugs are:
the rom lags more than official one. whenever u select something, it takes time to load up.
unlike u said, camera is still not fixed. its same as official. when select video recording, the screen freezes and phone gets hot. only rebooting makes phone get back to normal.
battery drain was quite high for the little i used the rom.
and then a minor bug..the letterings in the clock in the main menu isnt centered well.
Sent from my LG-P970 using xda app-developers app
IMPORTANT NOTICE:
As many of you know, the CM-12.1 branch will not be supported in the new LineageOS fork. And many of the new Google security patches are difficult and fiddly to back-port as they are now geared towards Marshmallow and Nougat. So as a result there will be no further updates to this rom.
Instead my focus will now be Fire Nexus ROM for this device.
Also looking at possible ways to get later android versions on the device. Will let you know if there is any progress later.
Thanks for all the support :good:

Frequency Asked Questions
Question 1:
How do I adjust the keyboard sound level?
Answer:
- Go to settings -> Languages & input -> Android Keyboard -> Advanced -> Keypress sound volume
- Then adjust the slider to your preferred level
Question 2:
Why does the screen image seem stretched or distorted?
Answer:
- The actual pixels in the Fire's LCD are not perfectly square
- That causes some distortion. It is particularly noticeable with round icons & when the screen rotates.
- This issue also effects the stock amazon OS as well as all custom roms.
- It is not yet known if this will be fixable in software (my current thinking is probably not)
Question 3:
Why is my brightness slider not working?
Answer:
- Try installing Brightness Level and use it to change brightness. After doing this brightness slider should work fine and you can remove Brightness Level.
Question 4:
When installing Google Play Games and Google Calendar I get error -505?
Answer:
- Install older versions from apkmirror then update from Google Play Store.
Question 5:

Actual CM12.1 on the Fire 2015? So, a premium device for $50 with CM12.1? Awesome! Might have to pick one up now... I'd guess I don't have to fastboot each time I power on right? Just the first time to get CM/TWRP, then have CM/TWRP install+boot CM12.1, then I can get CM12.1 without fastboot?

- You will have to fastboot each time
- It's all in the OP including the reasons why this is the case at the moment.
- It's not ideal - but thought I would share what I have so far
- I am looking into solutions for this now.
- Links are now up

Thanks for the hard work!
Once booted into CM12.1 we can make general system configuration changes, install apps, etc, correct? And will changes be be retained if we need to reboot (through fastboot)? If so, where will CM12.1 files be stored?

- Yes customise as much as you want - all will be retained.
- Your data and OS is stored on the /data and /system partition respectively
- The only thing you have to reload on a reboot through fastboot is the modified_boot.img which won't affect anything else.
Awesome work @ggow!. @diegocr and me have been working on bring slimrom to this device. We are having some issues with WiFi and bluetooth. Would you mind to share your device and vendor for cyanogen?.

Hi csolanol,
- I am in the process of updating my bibucket with the most recent changes
- Having trouble with bluetooth too.
- Wifi is working fine - I got it working like this:
- put this in your device tree
- then add this to your boardconfig.mk:
Code:
[INDENT]WPA_SUPPLICANT_VERSION := VER_0_8_X
BOARD_WPA_SUPPLICANT_DRIVER := NL80211
BOARD_HOSTAPD_DRIVER := NL80211
BOARD_WLAN_DEVICE := mediatek
BOARD_WPA_SUPPLICANT_PRIVATE_LIB := lib_driver_cmd_mt66xx
BOARD_HOSTAPD_PRIVATE_LIB := lib_driver_cmd_mt66xx
WIFI_DRIVER_FW_PATH_PARAM:="/dev/wmtWifi"
WIFI_DRIVER_FW_PATH_STA:=STA
WIFI_DRIVER_FW_PATH_AP:=AP
WIFI_DRIVER_FW_PATH_STA:=P2P[/INDENT]
- Then add this to your device.mk or equivalent
Code:
[INDENT]# wifi
PRODUCT_PACKAGES += \
lib_driver_cmd_mtk[/INDENT]
- Do not include the propriertary bin/wpa_supplicant when building otherwise you will get a build error
- Instead copy it into your ROM after building.
- Hope this helps for now.
Didnt whats his face say he used the original boot.img file to flash permenatnly asop without using fastboot every time?

- Yes, that was me who said that but Amazon have changed things since then.
- On the HDX at the time they were not enforcing an selinux policy
- Now that Amazon are enforcing it cannot work in the same way at least for the moment until a workaround is found.

- I built my ROM without block based image generation
- This means you can extract the ROM and use the proprietary-files.txt with the extract-files.sh to re-generate the vendor tree
