[Q] How to get transparent power widget - Galaxy Ace S5830 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Hey Guys,
I thought I'd get some help from the devs here.
I'm trying to mod a theme.apk to get a fully transparent notification drawer, with the background of notification drawer transparent.
Could Anyone guide me on how to get the background of the power widgets transparent?
What xml's or 9.png am i supposed to mod, or if possible link me to a guide.
Thanks A lot.

Framework > drawable mdpi folder.
Search the icons and make them transparent!

So, I'm just gonna copy the power widget icons from a transparent power widget theme and put it in this other one.
I'll let you know if it works.

[Q] Notification bar icons editing

Okay so I need help with notification bar icons editing.
I've successfully changed the icons and it looks good on my phone but there's a problem with the battery icon.
Im using ClassicalGas's JAMT theme icons and his battery icons has 1-100. So I copied those battery pictures into drawable-mdpi folder but when my phone has for example 90~100% battery, the icon shows 100% and doesnt change. When it has 80~90%, the icon changes to show 80%.
Im guessing there's something wrong with animation or something? Also, when Im charging, the icon doesnt change too. Please help me, i've attached my framework-res.apk and ClassicalGas's JAMT theme res folder.
I would really appreciate your help! thanks
Classicalgas's blog
Classicalgas's Icons/Theme
from the info youve given,
i assume whatever theme you are using doesnt have accurate battery mod,
hence it only shows a certain mark
You need to replace battery xmls too, not only images.
Or you can use UOT kitchen to change battery.

[Q] Gingerbread Theme Editing (Overscroll glow and notification transparency)

I was just wondering if anyone can tell me what files needs to be edited to obtain the overscroll glow effect and the transparency in the notification pull-down bar.
I wanted to port over a theme I liked using the APK Manager to my current rom (S-VII) but I dunno what to edit in order to obtain these two effects.
I know the framework.apk file effects the overscroll glow but i don't know what image or xml edit i need to do.
Thanks.
(If possible where the no clock notification and the pop up animations edits can be made would be appreciated but the other two above take priority. Thanks.)
You can accomplish most of these mods with the UOT kitchen.
If you want to do the overscroll effect yourself though you will need to edit the framework.jar (in the /system/framework folder) on your ROM. You can use this tutorial if you want to do it manually, or download the attached pre-modified framework.jar from Serendipity 7. It's JVO based, but should work on all Samsung-based Gingerbread ROM's according to the tutorial I listed a minute ago.
To change the color of the glow effect, edit the 2 overscroll png's located in the framework-res.apk. (also can be done with the UOT kitchen)
Download framework.jar
Here's also a post that may help
The way that I make the status bar and notification pull-down shade transparent are by using Photoshop (or GIMP) to make them the color I want and then to make them transparent. These PNG's are also located within the framework-res.apk. This can also be done with the UOT Kitchen.
No clock in notification bar: A quick search in this forum would have yielded this post for you http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=943212
I hope this helps.
thanks ill play around w/ this more

MIUI Help

Hey all,
I'm trying to use the status bar from one miui theme in a different theme, but when i put the status bar png into the new theme, it doesn't work and it "breaks" the theme. Also, changing the status bar icons seem to "break" the theme as well. I'm using a miui dark theme and when I change the status bar or icons, the status bar becomes white and completely unreadable. anyone have any ideas as to why this is happening?
thanks for your help

Thanks for your reply, I should mention that the status bar and icons that I want to use are from a CM7 theme, so i would have to put the pngs from the CM7 theme into the miui theme.

You have to make sure that they're named correctly. If you aren't renaming when you replace, this could be the issue. The pngs may also need to be resized.
If you want to pm me the files, I can take a look at it & either tell you what you need to do or fix it. If you post in the thread I may not see it, but Tapatalk will tell me that I have a message, so pm me if you want my help.
