Hello guys!
I'm having some problem with my OB. This happened after one reboot while using TeslaLED's torch. My phone rebooted then the LG logo showed up. Then to my surprise, the nova8's boot animation didn't showed up. At first I thought it got bricked, but I waited for it to finish boot up. Then when I touched the screen, I felt a haptic feedback, meaning the phone ain't bricked.
Then I tried pulling battery and rebooting again. Same black screen with flashing buttons. Then after 5 tries of pulling battery and rebooting, it continued to boot to bootanimation and screen didn't turn black. But everything was wiped out. So, downloaded all my apps again.
And everytime I reboot my phone I get this black screen.
After a month of pulling and rebooting, I decided to go back to stock, to see if it was a problem with Nova8 ROM. And I hoped the issue will be gone after flashing back to stock.
But now, I'm on stock ROM. LG logo shows up, then black screen, then I waited and heard LG's stock bootanimation. Meaning it ain't bricked.
Can you help me? Is there a way for me to fix this? Any form of help will be much appreciated. Could it be hardware problem?
hi, I have the same problem that you've tried everything and I can not make my optimus black out the screen of lg. I've watched several people with the same problem.
Well, I can't say that it's good that you have the same problem. But now I'm sure that it has to be some problem with Nova8. And that it did something terrible with our phones.
I've tried flashing Cm7 rom and this problem doesn't occur. It could be a problem with Froyo Roms?
We need help (
factory reset !
how to factory reset the phone's screen is just lg?

If you havent tried this yet, try this here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1396091
should always work. If not, either your phone is bricked and needs to be returned, or your PC doesnt work properly, or you missed anything in the thread, so follow it CAREFULLY, or you simply need more knowledge about your phone... so keep on reading
OR try this one, since it really is a step by step guide
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1396091 I do not understand, I'm Brazilian.
it is not bricked. I'm using my phone as I speak. It's just that its very hard to boot normally if I reboot. Because There's an 90% chance of getting into black screen than to continue boot up to bootanimation
yes my Ob also did not able to restart it if it was on the screen of LG, but now he does not care anymore.
Did you have CWM installed before? If yes get SuperoneClick and a custom .zip rom (e.g. redy's). And put .zip Rom to ur sd card.
1. Extract Superoneclick to C:
2. rename the folder to SO
3. then open Command Prompt by typing cmd into search/run or push windows + r and type it there
4. when command prompt is open type "cd so" without " "
5. type "cd adb"
6. type "adb reboot recovery"
7. wipe data, cache, in advanced wipe dalvic
8. go back
9. choose install zip from sd card and install the zip you just downloaded and everything should be fine, but ALL your data will be lost!
should I do the command prompt while the phone is connected?
Yes, otherwise, how should the phone get what the PC wants it to do? and also enable debugging mode if possible.
Solved it!
It seems that my phone has issues with Froyo based firmwares. When I flashed Zeus1 and CM7 my phone didn't showed the same problems I had.
What I did:
1.Used KDZ updater to flash V10A.(I came from Nova8)
2.When it's finally up and running, install Gingerbreak to attain root.
3.Download CWM recovery from ROM Manager.
4.Download any Gingerbread based ROM.(CM7,Redy's repackaged, Zeus1)
5.Put it in SD card.
6.Reboot to recovery
7.Wipe data/Factory Reset
8.Wipe cache partition
9.In Advance, wipe Dalvik Cache
10. Go back, Install zip from SD card.(Look for your ROM)
11.Wait for it to finish
12.Reboot.
13.Enjoy!!!
Why V10a? Because root can be attained using Gingerbreak. I tried Superoneclick , but got no luck.
Hi
I'm trying to flash a custom ROM, to be specific: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1524108 , but I have a few problems.
Almost one year ago my Home button stopped responding which made almost all multitasking useless and I had to use d back button in order to get back to my home screen that obviously then exited wtv app I was using. Two days ago I managed to spill some water on my phone while I was listening to music through its speaker and 10 min later the phone suddenly shut off. The phone went into a bootloop and whenever I removed the battery and put it back in, the phone automatically booted back into the bootloop, as if the power button was constantly being pressed. Considering that my Home button doesn't work and now also my Power button, I couldn't enter recovery and when I entered Download Mode via my USB JIG the phone went in and out of Download Mode every 5 sec or so which made it impossible for me to flash back to stock with Odin and then flash CWM etc etc...
I decided to open my phone and cut over the Power button cable since I assumed it was already dead (I let the phone dry for 24 hours without any help before I did) and then when I put back the battery the phone didn't boot by itself. I plugged in the USB JIG and Download Mode is now working again. I have flashed a 2.3.4 stock ROM (JVP) and I'm using a CF-Root kernel with CWM 3.
I installed ROM Manager (Superuser came with the kernel) and I have checked that the phone is rooted, but whenever I try to flash a ROM through ROM Manager the phone doesn't boot into CWM and then tries to flash the ROM, it boots into Recovery e3.
I know I have CWM installed considering I've tried this without flashing CWM with ROM Manager, and with CWM from ROM Manager.
The ROM won't be flashed due to an error stating that the Signature isn't verified.
Is there any way for me to be able to flash the ROM with another method or to get the ROM Manager to work properly? I know my phone is in a pretty bad state considering I don't have a working Home button or Power button, but it works fine with stock ROM where I use an app that makes it possible for me to unlock my screen with my volume buttons.
Basically, my question is... how can I flash custom ROMs without a home/power button, and why isn't ROM Manager working?
Thanks in Advance
PS. I have to flash a kernel through Odin everytime I want to boot my phone, is there anyway to boot the phone without having to flash over and over again?
I'm unclear as to whether you can enter download mode and flash through odin.
If not, perhaps you could try mobile ODIN off the play store and see if that works.
The reason why i'm saying so as if you can enter download mode i'd flash this (darky's rom) rom.
It's rooted, has CWM installed and is just a one step odin process to a nice stable rom.
Perhaps you could try 'rom toolbox' to enter recovery and download, get it from the app store.
And as you're phone is pretty broken, i assume you probably wanna flash one rom and stick with it. So either flash the rom i just linked you to or this (gamerzrom ninja) one.
Gamerzrom ninja however requires you to flash stock JVU in odin, then semaphore 2.5.0 kernel in odin, then enter CWM and wipe data, cache, dalvik cache and then flash the gamerzrom zip file.
That is quite a few steps and with you're phone so broken it may be easier to just do the first one which is one ODIN process, however the latter rom i suggested is more optimized and has more power overall, ram, etc etc.
Your call
Thanks for your reply.
The DarkyROM might come in handy considering it's flash-able through ODIN. The other ROM really isn't much of an option for me as I cannot do anything in CWM other than navigate up and down due to the fact that my Home/Power buttons don't work.
I'm able to get into CWM without much of a problem, but I just get stuck there...
The reason I want the ROM I linked to is because it has built in on-screen buttons, which then will make it possible for me to finally have my Home button back.
Is there no way to flash a ROM without the use of CWM? or without actually entering CWM and doing so manually?
I can install stuff via odin easily but not via cwm.
tried now like 10 diff roms and no bonus
1) I install stock + cfroot with odin.
2) boot to recovery + full wipe and try to install custom rom.
3) installation begins.. lasts like 20-30seconds and phone is in tilt.
It gets stuck on different screen (depends on rom) usually on kernelversion screen.
again steps.. 1.2.3..
Any tips?
I assume you Immediately go back to Odin as soon as you get your first "tilt"?
If so, next time try this:
When your phone is "tilted", pull out the battery (just to turn it off), put it back in and access cwm via the 3 button combination. Once in cwm reflash. Hopefully you'll get better results this time.
Edit: also, remember that the first boot after flashing a rom can take a while, give it some time before assuming your phone died.
I have been giving it 20mins or so..
now tried to install slimbean and booted to semaphore screen after extrating boot.img
now tried the 3-button comp to cmw --> did like 5x boot loop then booted to CMW.. did reflash, seems to be working now.. ty <3
awesome, glad it worked!
Ok so I have been looking around for two days now and have not been able to find an answer to my problem. I've even searched and tried everything on these forums so please don't ask me to google or use the forums search.
I've got a Bell Canada Samsung Galaxy S GT-I9000M, it was working fine a few days ago and I picked it up to check my messages and it was frozen. After a few minutes I pulled the battery and went to restart the phone.
The phone will now only show the Samsung Galaxy S white logo and simply restart itself and play that logo over and over. If the phone is plugged into the wall it will show the battle charge logo briefly and than restart to the logo. It will go no further than this point.
I have tried to do a factory reset via Home + Power + Vol Up but it seems to reset itself before it will actually load into that menu. Home + Power + Vol Dn will bring me to the download screen which is stable and will not reset the phone.
This is where it gets strange, I have tried Odin and a 100% stock flash on the phone with no luck the phone just sits resetting. After a download of DarkyROM it will actually load the white Galaxy S logo along with the DarkyROM logo and simply go back to resetting.
So the phone is clearly in some state of a working order able to download and accept ROMs but just keeps restarting itself after the white initial Galaxy S logo.
Any and all help would be appreciated! I hope I have explained this problem well enough, maybe it is in need of being brought to a shop to be fixed? Just happens that the warranty expired last week, almost seems coincidental.
Thanks!
After you installed DarkyRom (or any other ROM with CWM), did you try re-entering the recovery menu? Perhaps you will now be able to enter recovery?

No, after the install of the ROM it would load up the white galaxy logo along with the DarkyROM logo and than just go back to resetting itself over and over. I could still go back to to the download but not access the reset menu.

run through My Android Solutions, link below and do the first step after that to immediately to recovery or download mode , than flash a rescue or resurrection kit from My Android collections, link below, all this done without sim card or exts SD card inserted
None of this has worked, I have tried every trick I can find on the net but I can't seem to get it to go.
As before the phone will go into download mode, will accept roms and so on as shown by the DarkyROM logo showing up and going away with the removal of it.
After every attempt I am still not able to get into recovery mode but am still able to access download mode. The phone seems to be in some state of working order but continues to reset itself only when turned on but will run stable in download mode.
ADB doesn't see the device and even if it did I think it would still just reboot once it started into recovery.
It's almost as if the phone starts and after it shows the starting Galaxy S GT I9000 it just turns itself off for some reason
Is their any way to totally reformat the phone and start 100% from scratch without getting into recovery to do factory reset?
Step by step instructions on what to do and download for Odin would be fantastic. I am still not sure 100% on what the PIT/Bootloader/PDA/Phone/CSC are or do so the files I need to put in those and a good explanation would be great!
This happens sometime. To fix, Do this.
1. Boot into download mode.
2. Flash stock ginger bread with Odin using 512 pit.
3. Now boot into recovery and wipe data/factory reset.
4. Boot again into download mode.
5. Flash devil or semaphore kernel.
5a note. Your phone doesn't need to be able to boot. All we need is recovery mode.
6. Boot into the new recovery and wipe data/factory reset.
7. Format /system.
8. Flash ROM / gapps etc.
9. Boot with success.
10. Happy dance time, brings good luck.

ok, try flashing a gingerbread Ezboot loader, visit My Android collections, link below, has complete guide at download page
Well I've tried both suggestions with no luck. I am starting to think it's some sort of hardware problem which I can't understand because it is 100% stable and won't reset in download mode. It will accept ROMs and so on but instantly just starts to restart itself after the first logo is shown. No work around will let me into recovery mode and no method I have found so far will just reload how the phone boots. I guess it's time for a new phone eh chaps?

hmm, its strange..anyway, you should remove SIM Card and Ext SD card, and try to use any tool from My Android Collection, to format the Internal SD card and flash a 2e recovery to see , if you can get your recovery back or even a i9000 rescue kit would be good to go after formating your Internal SD card
Formatting you Internal SD card, will resolve any settings, data, delvik cache etc that would be the cause of your initial problem.. there are formatting tools as well a recovery tools that can be used to achieve this
Did u flash the correct stock firmware for ur I9000M? try this http://www.hotfile.com/dl/162558059/7efd7bc/I9000UGKG3_I9000BMCKG3_VMC.zip.html.
Source : http://www.sammobile.com/firmware/?page=3&model=GT-I9000M&pcode=0&os=1&type=1#firmware
Ok progress is being made, first I used Odin to load I9000UGKG3-I9000BMCKG3_VMC in the PDA slot without doing a reboot. Then I loaded JPK_Root_Recovery_2e using just the i9000_Kernel and was able to boot recovery.
After doing a Wipe Cache and then Factory reset the phone went back to a boot loop and I was unable to get back to the recovery menu.
After repeating the first steps I am once again in the recovery mode with no boot loot but am unsure as to where to go from here.
Currently the screen reads
Android system recovery <2e>
Samsung Recovery Utils
- for BML -
reboot system now
apply sdcard:update.zip
wipe data/factory reset
wipe cache
-------------------------------------------------
E: Invalid command argument
-- Install from package...
Finding update package...

# Manual Mode #
--Appling Multi-CSC...
Installing Multi-CSC
multicsc : src /system/csc/BMC/system/ .
*EDIT* Seems once you restart from the recovery mode it goes right back to a boot loop, was not able to apply the SD card update either. So getting to recovery is currently a one time deal without having to go back and reload VMC and 2e. Once restarted all is lost.
You will need to flash another firmware with 3 file method @odin. Search on this forum a firmware and flash it!
Don't worry, u can't brick your phone that easily. I flashed my phone 10times in a day, for boot loops, when i tried to upgrade to 4.0.4

Ok so this time I used Odin to do VMC in the PDA slot, then I9000 Kernel went back to VMC and loaded that then when I restarted the phone it went back to the same boot loop.
I have no way to clear the internal SD or anything like that because the programs will not see my phone connected to my PC.
What could be causing my phone to just continue to restart?

I gave u a source, download the guide on flashing through odin. It should work. Dun flash 1 file by 1 file.
EDIT : u can find more firmwares here. http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1102881&page=1
Pm me if you need any help!
Ok so here is where I am at..
I have tried everything everyone has listed so far. The only think that has made any sort of progress at the moment is going into download mode, connecting to the USB after loading Odin. Using JPK_Root_Recovery_2e I9000_Kernel.tar will bring me to the recovery screen.
wipe cache partition + reboot = boot loop
wipe cache partition + wipe data/factory reset + restart = boot loop
wipe data/factory reset + restart = boot loop
Any of the above mentioned plus loading stock firmware results in a boot loop.
Any of the above mentioned plus loading DarkyROM Resurrection 10.2 will again show the Galaxy S I9000 Logo plus the DarkyROM logo and proceed to boot loop.
Clear cache and factory reset than load of i9000XXJVT pit/pda/modem/csc results in boot loop.
If I am missing something please explain in detail and not shunt me off to some other page.
As before I have tried everything mentioned with no luck at getting past this boot loop. Clearly the phone is able to accept roms and so on so the internel SD seems to be ok but the boot sequence seems scrambled. Strange that it will boot to download and boot to recovery with JPK but upon restart it just boot loops and without Odin and JPK I can only get back to download mode.
Seems to me you also have some partition woes. Try to find an older rom (Milky's worked for me) that requires re-partitioning to be done. Flash via ODIN, wait for 10-15 mins for whole process to complete. CWM flash any rom from there ... (Darky's Extreme also repartitions)
Hi all, first of all, i'm not full expert on android, but I know some stuff. anyway i tried to root my phone using kingroot (last version update) i don't know what i did wrong, but know the phone stuck on the Lenovo logo, then bootlops again and again.
I read there I have to flash a new rom to my phone, but again im not experts in android. so im not sure how to do it. There is any guide? or one click tool to help me flash rom to my phone from the computer?
Hi there, I also had the same issue a while ago. I soft bricked my phone, it got stuck into bootloop and I got so confused what to do because I didn't wanted to lose my phone over some parlor trick. What I'm gonna do here is explain you all the things step by step and if you follow them correctly, you will see your k3 working at the end. So first thing first don't ever use kingoroot again to root your phone or any other phone. Not Helpful.
So I'm assuming that you are stuck at boot logo or somewhere around it, facing black screen. Don't worry it'll be alright at the end of the day. You need to download a few things before we start because to completely vanish the problem we have to unroot the device and install stock rom again using spftools.
Requirements Download files and tools :
1)Download flash_tool
2)Download USB Driver of Lenovo K3 Note
Link- https://drive.google.com/folderview?...kU&usp=sharing
3)Download K50a40_S112_150610_ROW.rar
Link- https://docs.google.com/uc?id=0B1tnng1Ipox5S1NsVG53YndVNVU&export=download
After downloading all the necessary files keep your PC ready for the following things:
1)Install "LenovoUsbDriver_v1.1.13.exe", then Restart pc.
2)Extract "SP_Flash_Tool_exe_Windows_v5.1452.00.000.zip" using Winrar
3)Open SP Flash Tool with Adminstrative rights (Right click on flash_tool.exe from inside the SP Flash Tool folder)
4)Go to Options > Option... > Download > Tick "DA DL All with Checksum" > Close the options box
5)Close SP Flash Tool.
Charge your phone up to 80% or more- is a must for the following process to avoid any issues.
Flash Recovery
1)Download and Extract "TWRP_v3.0.0-3_for_SP_Flash_Tool.zip" *
2)Open SP Flash Tool(admin rights), and From "Download" Tab click on "Scatter-Loading"
3)Browse the TWRP v3.0.0-3 folder and select the "MT6752_Android_scatter.txt" file > Ok **
4)Click on "Download" icon
5)Completely turn off your phone and wait for about 10 sec (BUT DO NOT REMOVE BATTERY) and NOW connect it to PC using usb cable.
6)Wait till the Process completes and a "Download ok" box will appear with a green tick. Disconnect the phone from cable. Done!
Now press and hold VolumeUp+VolumeDown+PowerButton all three buttons at one untill you see the "TWRP" logo.
The phone will boot into custom recovery you just installed.
Flash Stock Rom
1)Extract K50a40_S112_150610_ROW.rar to a folder and open flash tool extracted folder and run flash_tool.exe
2)On the flash tool, click Scatter-Loading button browse and then select file name MT6752_Android_scatter.txt, just find it on K50a40_S112_150610_ROW target_bin folder, then click open.
3)Now it will load the above file, make sure only recovery selected and select the Firmware Upgrade option.
4)In the menu Option tab, select Download and check DA DL All with Checksum.
5)Click Download button or hit F9
6)Completely turn off your phone and wait for about 10 sec (BUT DO NOT REMOVE BATTERY) and NOW connect it to PC using usb cable, this will start the flashing process on flash tool.
7)Wait till the Process completes (5-10mins) and a "Download ok" box will appear with a green tick. Disconnect the phone from cable. Done!
8)Then switch on your phone just wait, it will take some minutes for first boot and be patient.
You will see your device boot up like the first time you booted it up. Fresh as a new. It has a custom recovery installed so it advised to take a backup of the fresh system using TWRP incase you need it in future. Press and hold VolumeUp+VolumeDown+PowerButton to access recovery menu.
So now you have unbricked your phone and it's also in unroot condition. Follow the procedure and you'll be good.
Attention: I'm not responsible for any damage that occurs to your smartphone, for committing install Stock ROM on your smartphone is very risky, if you have a doubt it better don't do it or give to someone who is more understand with this installing. Thanks.
I would rather suggest you to directly install the latest stock ROM for our device I.e s433 instead of lollipop so you won't have to go through all the trouble of downloading and updating as the mm update is nearly a GB in size.
Here's the link to that
https://drive.google.com/file/d/0BzEmkxrdpsgRMFpxX0VPT3FMODg/view
After installing the rom, install twrp recovery as mentioned in the above post, boot to that recovery and then flash this SuperSU zip. When that is done just reboot and you will have a rooted stock rom
Here is the SuperSU zip
Hi, I have a slightly different problem would the fixes above help me too.
My issue started with installing lineage 14.1 using twrp 3.02, after a factory reset, due to selling to a friend, the phone now only boots to TWRP every time, so I'm kind of stuck in a twrp boot loop, I installed twrp 3.1 but that made no difference, still twrp loop.
So should I just follow the above method, not flash twrp, but just flash the latest official rom using the above method, to get the phone back to loading roms?

Yes you will be able to fix your phone with those methods. What you would want to do is this:
1) While your phone is booted to recovery, run sp flash tool on your PC.
2) Remove the battery and insert it again to power off your phone if you can't do it through the recovery.
3) Load all the required files in sp flash tool as written in the posts above.
4) Select 'firmware upgrade' option (This will wipe off your internal storage) instead of 'download only' and click on download button.
5) Now connect your phone to PC and long press the power button of your phone. You will see the download process has begun in sp flash tool. Wait for it to complete and leave your phone there till it completes.

Brilliant Ty, just to confirm, when you say select "firmware upgrade option" I should at that point have the stock rom loaded into flash tools, so that will over write current installed recovery and rom.
Then I guess, try lineage again, great rom, only the twrp boot loop has been a big pain, I have read this is because of using twrp 3.02, twrp 3.03 and twrp 3.1 are said to fix this issue from happening next time.
Thank you

Yes that's right, else the download process won't start. Once you load the scatter file it will also set sp flash tool to overwrite your current twrp recovery with the stock lenovo recovery.
When-ever i Plug my phone into USB with battery it auto boots into TWRP no matter what i do and SP doesn't even recognize or start flash
