fake roaming - LG Optimus 2x

Suddenly have an unresolved issue when switch to 2g from 3g (Three 2g and 3g have different mnc no.) , notification says the phone is roaming & signal with word 'r'
Format cache, system & data but useless, even revert to stock roms (no this issue previously) ...
try bb/ril 420 and try other bb rils too
happens even change a new sim card
I put it into another 2X CM7 without problem and put another 2X CM7 sim card to my phone, problem exists
even cmw backup another 2x and restore to my 2x, problem exists
Google & find this common problem but not find solution

solved by clicking national roaming before change to 2g :>
that's why I cannot solve this when there is signal "r" and then I click national roaming
I hear from others that this maybe caused by flashing korean BB

[Q] Can't connect to network - please help!

Hi
I've just bought me an Optimus 2x which I have brought back to stock. When I unlock the simcard with my pin code, it shows me that there is a connection to 3G. However, when I go into browser, GPS, Gmail etc., it just says that there is no connection to the network. My APN settings are fine. Of course, I've tried to wipe everything by reset data to factory state and I've tried NvFlash and so on. Nothing seems to work.
I can make and receive calls, sms and mms. Only thing is the network.
Have you any ideas of what is going on?
Thanks!

Nexus one suddenly get crappy signal

The other day I was getting H everywhere I went on Cyanogenmod 7.1 but suddenly I would barely get Edge, and as soon as I tried to use it, it died, no service. I tried flashing a few different radios with no success, even tried flashing Cyanogenmod 7.2 rc3 with no success... Is this the end of the line for my beloved n1 or is there any fixes anyone knows of.
Thank you in advance for your help.

Have you tried to check your APN settings? Did you have this problem before flashed a new ROM?
I did have problems before flashing, in fact I only flashed things to try to fix the signal issue. Data is enabled, international data is disabled, National data roaming is enabled, network preferences is GSM/WCDMA (WCDMA preferred), AP names is T-Mobile US epc.tmobile.com, use only 2g is disabled, network operators is select automatically
I didn't change any settings in here from before is stopped working, at least not that I'm aware of.
Current setup:
Baseband version = 32.41.00.32u_5.08.00.04
Mod version = CyanogenMod-7.2.0-RC3-passion
Is there somewhere else I should look?

Ohh well guess it's time to move on, I just purchased a galaxy nexus, guess this is just a wifi phone now... Although I would love to fix it for a backup if someone has any ideas.

Enabling HSDPA on Jelly Bean

Hello guys
I have been performing various rom installation on my Samsung Galaxy S GT i9000 but everytime it was only GingerBread Based roms.
The second i switched from to ICS and to CM10 JB now, the problem i have been facing is network mode option which is not present in GT i9000 when i was on ICS and also in the present CM10 JB.
I tried many thing but none worked
NOT WORKING
again tried to enter the code *#301279# but that also dint worked.
And my network is 3G enabled since i have tested the same sim on my another phone which is a SGS II running on stock ICS and 3G is working perfectly fine on it.
So basically to enable 3G on my I9000 i would need to change my network mode which at present is not available in my mobile network settings.
HELP ME OUT.........!!!!!!!!!!!!

I must say that you din't even helped me with your statement as i feel you haven't read my problem properly. We have the best network signal availability in my area at present and as i said 3G is working perfectly fine on my sgs II which i already mentioned because i'm able to select the network mode manually from the mobile network in wireless & networks settings.
And not to forget the sim i used for testing 3G on my SGS II in actual belongs to my secondary phone - SGS GT i9000 which is currently running rooted and Running on CynogenMod 10 which is in alpha stage,
And for the data usage on - dude i'm no noob to post this question without me knowing how to use a phone properly.
And hey i did have my data usage on but in that attachment the data usage was off and it was just to show that there is no network mode selection available in the mobile networks settings.
I HOPE YOU GET IT

Try to switch your mobile network mode to "GSM only" and then back to "GSM/CDMA auto". Try rebooting your phone, clearing cache/dalvik or fixing permissions.
Also, as far as I know, some ROMs do not support auto switch between 3G and HSPA (3G icon is displayed all the time). Usually custom ROMs switch between H and 3G to save power (H is used only when bigger network traffic occurs, in order to speed up your download speed), but many ROMs do not have this feature.
Forcing 2g, rebooting, etc., doesnt worked. I know that H is used for big traffic, but ICS dont even want to enter it when i download 10mb+ files..
hey there
as u might have seen im on eplus too and i faced such an issue several times with different phones
what i figured out was that in some cm9 roms the mobile hotspot (dein zugangspunkt ist ja normalerweise glaub ich internet.eplus.de ) is not available or there are mistakes in it so just get to the eplus providers homepage and check if ure zugangspunktname and all the other options dealing with it are set right
hauste rein
Everything was ok, now i changed back to gigabread+ from texten...
HSDPA works fine, seems so that ics is blocking connection like divibyzero said.
ICS doesn't block it you probably need to set up your APN correctly which is what I think the guy before me was saying too

[POLL] Sim lock or Sim free

I would like to thank RC for the great rom that has revived 02x.
Because some of us have a problem with audio calls, and some do not, I think that the problem is sim free and sim lock.
I bought my o2x over the phone carrier's SIM lock.
wanted to put to the poll to see if I'm right or not. perhaps help.
You can also leave a comment if you have a problem or not with audio calls, and which poll you marked.
I voted "Sim Free", but actually, I bought the phone locked, then bought an unlock code for $7.99, and entered it before flashing my custom ROM.
My experience - Using my default carrier baseband and RC's RIL that came with CM10, on 10/31, my calls and texts and data work fine. Signal bars fluctuate a LOT in 3G mode, but are very stable in 2G mode. I got more BSODs on 3G than when I locked the phone into 2G (4 vs 1).
I tried flashing an SU660 baseband but completely lost network, so back to my V21b carrier baseband for now.
Free sim, able to change sim at my will, the cm7 has issue with v20a bb, the signal got lost when dial ussd.
Now changed bb in cm10 to v20s all issue gone and call quality is at its best.
