Hey Guys.
I've been using the Deepshining ROM for the past lets say 8 months.
Right now I'd like to get back to the "official" one, they were called "STOCK" ones, right?
I haven't been into flashing and so on for the duration I mentioned above, so I'd appreciate any help.
Which one should I download, to get the newest official one?
How should I flash it?
Do I have to flash it using the tutorial?
Where can I download the orginal ROM?
yes make sure u use a stock rom that is nodo version and below and a bootloader which is supported under DFT RSPL/HSPL
if u flash any mango rom that have bootloaders 4.5 and above , yr device is "updated" and u cannot downgrade again.

Just one question, if I use a custom rom and I don't like it, with the goldcard method will the phone go back to the original SPL without RSPL/HSPL?
I want to know before trying a custom rom.

The goldcard method allows you to downgrade the devices SPL. Which needs to be at or below 3.xxx to install RSPL/HSPL.
After the SPL is downgraded then you install RSPL/HSPL. Which allows you to install a custom rom. The custom rom is flashed by entering the device into bootloader mode then connecting it to the PC and running the RUUwrapper provided with the rom.
If you install only RSPL and flash a custom rom the RSPL is reverted back to OSPL after the flash process. So then to flash a different/new rom you have to re-RSPL the device and then flash the rom.
If you install HSPL then you just have to put the device into bootloader mode and flash the new rom.
HSPL is much easier and can be reverted back to OSPL by installing a stock/shipped rom.

Hello, new to 'hacking' the WP7 but i want to flash a custom dev unlocked ROM to my phone, but i want to make sure i dont use the wrong ROM, so i was hoping someone could point me in the right direction?
I have a HD7 (T Mobile unlocked, US model, i'm in the UK if that makes a difference, also using o2)
It's currently running the official mango by the disconnect internet trick in zune.
Thanks in advance!

any Schubert ROM will flash successfully to your HD7 with RSPL or HSPL installed.
with that said...
is either RSPL or HSPL installed?
if not... you will need to get that. DFT's RSPL/HSPL.
and here is a little how-to if you have the wrong SPL. see steps 2 and 8.
after that,
any ROM in the HD7 WP7 Development thread should flash fine.

Thats great thanks! just a few questions for you..
RSPL or HSPL? (sorry new to this ^^")
So if i install a nodo ROM (considering i'm currently on Mango) will it just roll back with no problems?
do i need to do anything specific with these ROMS that have different radio software versions? or can i just ignore them?
I'm trusting if i use the backup tool i can restore my text messages etc again, i dont really feel loosing them. :/

RSPL is, basically, a temporary SPL, which returns to OSPL (stock SPL) after reset.
HSPL is 'permanent' until you flash another SPL or return to stock.
both allow you to flash a custom ROM.
if you flash a RUU_Signed.nbh from a NoDo ROM it will 'roll back' fine, but will erase all data currently on the device.
but if you just flash the SPL_Signed.nbh from a NoDo ROM, it will only flash the Radio and SPL. i recommend task00 to flash this.
unfortunately, through Zune, SMS doesn't get backed-up.

I've managed to roll my phone back using the zune software, i didnt know that was a option, so now it's back to NODO but with the problem of my SPL is set to v4.5 and the link you sent me here takes the SPL to 4.05 if i'm reading it right.. but DFT RSPL only goes up to 3.4... so have i hit a dead end completely? :S

nope. not a dead end.
quickest fix.
01. visit HD7 Radio Wiki, link in my signature.
02. download a stock NoDo or Pre-NoDo Radio for your device.
03. extract the SPL_Signed.nbh from the 'stock' folder.
04. flash SPL_Signed.nbh with task 00.
05. SPL has now been rolled back.
from there...
06. flash RSPL.
07. flash HSPL, if desired.
08. flash newer Radio, if desired, using RUU_Unsigned.nbh from desired Radio.
09. flash Custom ROM of choice.

i unfortunately don't know.
best bet, is to ask the question on that thread.
i haven't ever tried using it to back up my device.
actually, i haven't ever backed up my device before.
too busy constantly flashing and testing my intrinsicROM.

what rom then i need to install i am from Croatia (europe) ?
OS: 7.0.7392.0
firmware: 2250.09.16901.401
Bootloader:4.5.2250.0(192185)
Thank you
all Shipped ROMs are available here.
or you could just flash a Custom ROM, which is already Dev Unlocked, or better, here.

For custom roms I need to install hspl? Shipped roms I can install with original spl?i heard that you can easily brick phone by install custom roms and hspl,is that true?

yes, Shipped ROM can be flashed with OSPL, as long as the vendor id's match.
phone can be half bricked if you try and flash RSPL/HSPL onto an unsupported SPL, yes.
if you want to go the Custom ROM route, i would...
01) flash a stock Shipped NoDo or Pre-NoDo ROM.
02) flash RSPL or HSPL.
03) flash Custom ROM with task 29.
04) flash desired Radio with task 00, if desired.
sh4d0w86.
what is vendor id?
and how to know if that id's match?
also what is better, hspl or rspl?

well, if the vendor id's don't match, the flash will fail.
ie. flashing a TMOUS ROM onto a HD7 T9292 will fail, etc.
RSPL is a temporary SPL which will return to OSPL after reset.
HSPL isn't temporary.
both allow one to flash Custom ROMs.

Rather than downgrading to nodo and all that stuff, is it possible to install a custom rom via a goldcard?
/Gordon.
I think it can... Because Custom Rom is still a ROM with no SPL... So try and report
My question is very simple. If I can (with RSPL), after flashed a Custom Rom, what bootloader will I have?
You can flash a custom ROM with rspl, but after reboot you will have spl again. RSPL is temporary, HSPL is permanent.

Thanks for the answer, but if I have SPL version 4.x, and I flash a Custom Rom, (with RSPL I mean), after flashing I still have version 4.x? Or which version?

you can't currently XSPL with OSPL 4.xx.
you would need to downgrade OSPL, first.
then, you could RSPL.

I have the latest HTC HD7 Mango ROM (with Internet Sharing and OSPL 5.10) so can I directly flash a NoDo (or Pre NoDo) ROM to downgrade OSPL (to install late RSPL)? Or not?

i am not sure what you are asking now...
you said you have OSPL 4.xx, but now saying 5.xx.
the tutorial explains everything, nonetheless.

The first was an example, the second (OSPL 5.xx) is what I really have now. So, can I do this or not

yes, one could flash a Custom ROM only with RSPL.
but, atm, RSPL can only be done with OSPL's 3.xx, 2.xx, and 1.xx.
you would need to downgrade OSPL 5.xx, first.

OK, thanks. So, at the end, if I have OSPL 3.xx and I install RSPL (NOT HSPL) and I flash a CUSTOM Mango ROM, I still have OSPL 3.xx?

yes, with RSPL, upon a reset [in this case, flashing Custom ROM] Bootloader will revert back to OSPL.

Thanks a lot!!!!!!
I want to install HSPL to be able to install custom ROM dynamics v2.0. But, it says you should not continue if you have SPL version 4.xxx or 5.xxx. I should have1.xx, 2.xx, or 3.xx to install the HSPL.
I came to know another solution to the problem by downgrading the SPL using NoDo.
What should I do? Can i install HSPL after downgrading my HSPL version using NoDo? Will that brick my phone?
My plan is to use NoDo to first downgrade my SPL from 5.xx to anything that is supportedby the HSPL, then I'll install HSPL by DFT, and then finally install a custom ROM called Dynamics v2.0.
Should I go through the whole process for installing a custom ROM on my phone?
Do let me know if you want to know something about the phone like the OS version, exact SPL version, etc
Have you searched for it?
You must use Y-Cable and the goldcard method... It is written in several threads, I recommend you "noobs guide no android", search for it I won't give you any lazy link...
