Here's the link to get cyanogenmod 10 bootanimation. Just rename the file to "bootanimation.zip" and replace the bootanimation.zip file at the /system/media directory.
Remember to do a backup of your current bootanimation

For asop ROMs users like me. A special Thunderbolt bootanimation. The froyo83 nexus bootanimation.zip with a nexus|thunderbolt logo based off the Nexus S logo.
Regular bootanimation.zip. Should be able to use on pretty much any phone from the Droid 2/X and up. Droid 1 and smaller screen lower cpu phones probably wont play smoothly
download:

Install:
Rename file to bootanimation.zip and copy to /data/local (keep current/stock bootanimation)on your phone or /system/media (replaces current bootanimation)
Reboot and enjoy.

Can you make it to where you could rom manager line a zip file
I don't know how to make update.zips. I haven't looked into that. To me its just easier to copy and paste it in root explorer.
Here is a simple and nice Android progress style bootanimation.
It is 480x800 resolution compatible.
Just download the bootanimation.zip file and copy it on your device to system/media and overwrite the old bootanimation.zip file. Your phone must be rooted.

use root explorer and extract the files of the bootanimation. go to "extracted file"/system/media where u will find bootanimation.zip
just cpoy it to your phone's system/media and it will work. (just remember to remove the existing bootanimation there.)
Open Root Explorer.
Go to /system/bin (since you have stock ROM).
Copy file samsungani to your SD-Card
Now delete your samsungani in /system/bin folder
Rename bootanimation in /system/bin to samsungani
Move ALL of .qmg file in /system/media and /system/media/video to your SD-Card
Put bootanimation .zip file in /system/media
Reboot

Hy boardmembers,
i use carbon rom 1.6.
Very good rom, but i want a other bootanimation.
I try this:
- download one of the two bootanimations (the simplistic one is worth it)
- extract the rar contents : bootanimation.zip file, do not extract the zip file
- put the bootanimation.zip file in your /system/media or /data/local folder
- on reboot, you get the new animation.
But it dont work
Please write what i have to do...
Maybe i have do delete the data inside the folders first?
/data/local = folder /tmp
and = data = zipalignedapk
/system/media = folder /audio
and data = LMprec_508.emd, PFFprec_600.emd
THX in advance
first find where is original bootanimation.zip, in your /system/media or /data/local folder

hy,
thanks for your feedback.
I found the mistake:
right folder:
/data/local
but i have to set the permissions for the bootanimation.zip!
thread can be closed.
How did you go about giving it permission, I didn't see any setting for this... Thanks
use any root explorer. right click on the file and choose permissions / properties and you will see the settings.. rw-r--r--
This is the H2OS Bootanimation from the OnePlus 5

Download here
How to install
1.Put the H2OS bootanimation flashable zip in your internal storage
2.Reboot to recovery
3.Select the file and swipe to flash
Or
1.Extract the pixel bootanimation flashable zip
2.Find the bootanimation.zip file in it
3.Replace the bootanimation.zip from root/system/media/bootanimation.zip with new bootanimation zip
You are done
It's not white as it shows on thumbnails, can u make it white?
Nice thing. But I would suggest to rename the original bootanimation.zip into bootanimation.zip.bak if installing it manually and then copy the downloaded one into the same folder. So you can revert it anytime. I'm not quite sure in this case but i guess you need to set proper permissions which should be 644.
