This is one of the most retarded things I've heard... app won't give you autofocus, because it lays down in hardware, not software...

I was confused when I'm using miui camera for the first time!
There's an autofocus option, but I'm pretty sure that Galaxy Mini camera doesn't have autofocus.
But not so long after, I make a conclusion: Galaxy Mini really doesn't have autofocus. It's just the miui camera which is made with that option so if the camera have autofocus, it will do, but if not, it will change nothing.
Doesn't you realize that whether you tick on the autofocus on or off, there's no different results?

It don't! If u want it anyway just use Camera360 Ultimate. It also have ISO setting
Edit : it have touch focus instead of autofocus

Hello, I new in this phone. I now I use camera Zoom fx for take a picture, its very good quality of pictures. But in stock camera I am able to film just a 30min in HD quality... I have CM7 nighties, so there is camera app, so you suggest me to use that app for filming? It film pretty good, but I am able to film just 30 in HD quality. can I extend that time? like one hour or two hours?
I tried LG camera pro app. it has a lot of options to capture picture and capture video. But I notice that when I capture video auto focus is not working, not on lg camera pro and no on camcorder (stock cm7) , just focused at beggining and then no focus ;( could it be cm7 bug?
It's not a bug of cm7 is a bug of the app.. However are you sure that with stock camera you can register up to 30 minutes?

Those written have nothing to do with the maximum recording time, the only limit is the free memory in your device

For autofocus I don't know.. maybe is a cm bug, you should expect a fix for your rom or flash a stable version (7.2)

As i said i do reduce resolution. In the sgs2 rom v10, digital zoom works perfectly with resolution reduced. This rom is not cyanogenmod based. Other roms that are cyanogenmod based, dont digitally zoom even with resolution reduced. What is the problem?

why do you want to have a zoom if you can just crop the picture after?
i think it's better to have a primary photo AND the cropped one ..

The circular one was for persons, so I think it either focuses twice, or tags the face, or whatever. There usually is a quite normal focus

Video recording autofocus?

Is there any way to enable autofocus in video recording(camera app/kernel/rom changes)? I think hardware is capable because it can autofocus when taking pictures and that only software is limiting it. Any suggestions?

Use lgCamera, but be careful with the bitrate setting. The focus won't be automatic, but it will be touch focus.

Samsung didn''t put many things on the stock ROM... not buying my next phone from them, unless I have the money for a flagship.
Anyway, remember, be very careful with the video bitrate setting as phones tend to choke on big videos... even OG S3 skipped frames on me on a 20 Mbps video.
