No.. pure android is vanilla..
Aosp like any other open source project adds improvements and twraks to pure android source which is what aokp, cm9 cna do. making them aosp . aokp just a name...

so in short
AOSP - Basic Android Source Project (no Customizations) like Oxygen
AOKP - Improved versions of AOSP like CyanogenMod??
and what's the difference between aosp roms and stock roms, besides e.g. preinstalled samsung apps?
aosp = android open source project
aokp = android open kang project (link https://sites.google.com/site/androidopenkangproject/)

It's not really about the Samsung/Sense apps more about the whole "layer" that i.e. Samsung/HTC put over the basic rom, (touchwiz and sense in the case of samsung/htc).
So if you'd take those layers/apps away you would just have the basis which is just AOSP.
Hey guys!
I've been breaking my head trying to port AOKP-based Paranoid Android to the note folowing this tutorial:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1598713
I'm using these two roms on the process:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1857041
and
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1797698
But when i flash the final files... BANG! Stuck on bootanimation.
Can't even logcat
What am i doing wrong? Any other way to build Paranoid using AOKP as base?
Hope someone port PA to AOKP
Hey guys,
Did AOKP stop supporting the i9000? I see devs porting it and AOKP's website doesn't have a version beyond 4.1.2.
Anyone know what is the different for the captioned rom and which one is the latest new rom.
THANKS
AOSP isn't built for i9300
I think:
AOSP 4.2.2=Pure android..
CM10 4.2.2=Pure android+ a lot of mods from CM Team..
1. there is no AOSP for i9300
2. There is no 4.2.2 CM10.0, it's CM10.1
Hey everyone, this is not a request, it is more of a question.
Is there any AOSP 4.1 jelly bean for the o2x p990?
I like pengus cm10 but im not that much of a cm fan since there are too much options. (sounds stupid doesnt it..)
Therefore PA is not an alternative at all!
However i would like a simple and clean rom based on jelly bean 4.1 (4.2 not stable enough)
So is there any AOSP 4.1 rom? thanks in advance
cheers
No there isn't any 4.1 aosp rom. There's a possibility that Tonyp and pengus may be working on an aosp 4.2 rom, but that's just a wild guess, it could be cm10.1 based too , it's all very hush hush
But as of now, no.
