I'm having some issues about some apps of instant messaging on my galaxy N7000. the apps i'm talking about are whatsapp kakao talk messenger viber and chatOn. after downloading and configuring the apps theybseems to work but in a while they are automatically removed from the phone and on the status bar the following message is displayed " whats app has been removed" even if i don't uninstall it. it happens all the times. i tried to contatt the apps developer, the google play customer service and samsung customer service but noone give me an answer. i took some logs about the installing and uninstalling process of the apps and i wanna know if someone could read that for me instead of finding a solution. i can't attach any file yet but i can send it by mail to those who wants to.leave his email address even in a pm. thank you for anyone can help. sorry in advanced if this is not the right place to edit this thread
Is this your personal phone, or something that work has given you? This sounds like an IT department stamping its control to me.

there is another section in which this tread can be moved. I'm looking for someone able to read the logs and help me to find a solution. can a moderator move it to the appropriated section?

is possible that the operator can block the installation of certain apps in order to increase the number of payable sms sent? i forgot to say that my flat mate is having the same issues with the same phone model. we have the same operator ( telecom italia mobile)and we share the same wifi network

I'm looking for an android app that will answer a phone call after a defined number of rings and record voicemails to my SD. It obviously doesnt need to run if the phone is powered down.
I think the problem in designing this is having sound sent from an app to the caller.
Does anybody know if this exists? (in all countries.. ie not googlevoice)

Are the actually any voicemail apps for the phone itself. I really don't want to subscribe to a service even it it is free and would rather have all my voicemail left on the phone as OP originally requested.

Relax boss, nothing to worry. The Play Store installed on your phone needs to get itself updated. Once it is updated you wont face this problem.
So just open Play Store on your device and give it some time to update itself.
Had faced the same problem few days back. Relax.

Actually if you must have noticed that there is another app called GOOGLE PLAY SERVICE or similar name.
when u open play store that PLAY SERVICE app also updates itself.
So just try explorin the PLAY STORE on your phone. Give it a few secs. It'll be ready.
Spend some time surfin on the Play Store so that it gets time to update itself.
It has worked for me.

Dont use two different Gmail IDs. Check if you have Google Play Services (or something like that). Make sure your device is synced with your gmail ID.

Login with your id, sync your device with it, check under Gmail settings, install google play services app. If the problem persists, contact google via email. May be it is mistaken that your account has been accessed from a device that isn't listed in your previous access details. Are you sure that you first used this account on phone and then tried it on PC ? May be they're treating your phone as an untrusted source of access.
If you don't wanna bang your head over all this, just create a new Gmail account and access it via your phone.

I double checked all the things u asked me to...problem still persists...
I was suspecting a change in the android user id or something like that...it usually comes up after flashing a new rom...titanium asks me if I want to restore the previous user id so that my device is still recognized as the same one that it was before flashing...but I don't know more technical details on this matter...
So since ur a developer,I guess u know the technicality of this matter...I just feel the reasoning for the problem must be in that direction of thought...please help me if u can think of something that could have gone wrong...

First... I ain't a developer You can call me experienced. But no one knows everything. You can say we know enough, but not everything. When unusual problems like this arise, everyone find themselves in a dilemma. Then someone somehow finds a way to nail it or someone works out wonders. Until somehow the problem is solved, learning never stops in xda ! Our Ace forum is so tremendous that we find so much of varied and relevant cases here that can't be found anywhere else on xda and that makes this forum a stand out and hell awesome !
Talking about your problem, did you try the titanium backup trick ? Sometimes it is just a sequence of steps to solve it. You can just follow it. Like, titanium backup fixes the bad integration of superuser for example. As far as my conscious goes, a new Gmail id should definitely solve it. But if you're concerned about sync and purchases, I'd recommend you to contact google via email or the titanium backup Dev as he might know how to nail this since he's provided a possible solution to the prevailing problem. Last resort, wait for someone more learned to respond or go try to nail it yourself, can't help It's happened to me before

Wondering if it's possible to mod the HTC Email app to Always show Images. I hate that you can't toggle a setting to allow this.
I agree. Drives me crazy.

if you guys open a spam message accidentally..and you view their images, what you're basically doing is telling the spammer that they hit a real email, and they should keep spamming you.

Just want to point out that your answer was in no way helpful. I was not born yesterday and understand the intent of requiring the user to tap display images in the email. My request was to have that functionality moded into the HTC Email app. If you know how to do that or can point me to someone who does or already has, that would be helpful. Thanks.

Yep, very Apple-like to do something like that and not let the user override in some form or fashion. I don't need HTC telling me/forcing on me what they think is best for my user experience. They need to update the email app so it functions like Gmail, for instance, with respect to this issue.
.
Please keep it on topic and with respect.
Thanks,
Agreed, this would be nice. Or even an "always display images from this sender" type of thing. That way the security is still there for unknown e-mails.
Hello XDA!
Few days ago my classmate signed in to Facebook app in my phone and what did I see ? Facebook ongoing notifications in my statusbar and it was really cool. But when I switched back to my account this option dissappeared so I told him to sign in again and it was back.
My question is why I can't access this option on my account I really like this
If someone know please help me
Maybe nobody like's your posts and nobody writes to you so there are no notifications to be shown...? ^^

there is option in App Settings to turn ONGOING NOTIFICATIONS and then it looks like this but when I login with my account there is no that option in Settings
do you understand now ?
I was juz jokin' and yes, i undertand now. Welll i've asked my uncle google about it and it seems like they are adding this feature and deleting it, i think what you saw were some kind of tests how will it work, maybe it will be added with new update.

I know bout this but it's 4 months old
How many times did you try to switch to your friend account? More than once? Iinteresting... maybe he was using earlier an older ver of fb app and he had this optio turned on and fb saved those settings and signed (nie wiem jak jest 'przypisac' po angielsku) to his account, maybe its a matter of the frequency of notifications, if he has many of them the app show those notifications
Sent from my GT-I8190 using xda app-developers app
he was using older but very old version without this feature (iPhone 3G iOS3 so no updates) and I get more notifications than him (about 40 per day + messages) so I don't understand it :/
To be honest i dont understand it either. I've installed fb and i dont have this option... you should try to let him log in again and see if this option is present in fb app's settings when he's logged in... i wonder if thats really a matter of who is logged in.. :/
Sent from my GT-I8190 using xda app-developers app
Yes the option is here when he log in but now I'm back on my account and option is gone -> Same phone, same app version, same settings just different account
Weird i assume it has to be something with the type of account, maybe one of you is logging on a fansite account and the second one on a normal... maybe its something like that
Sent from my GT-I8190 using xda app-developers app
Both accounts are the same types cause we don't have any fansite accounts only normal personal profiles

Try clearing/resetting the data for that app or email account in settings/application manager.

No you are not the only one. The stock email app is a very poorly written app. I reset, cleared data many times. The same thing. Automatic push will work for the first hour or so, then, never managed to pull emails in a timely manner. I get random push, but when I check the time code, they are anywhere from 30 min to 3 hours late. GMAIL works as it should.
Either switch over to gmail or try K9. Works much better.
Any other comments? I would like to keep using Samsung Email app.

Delete the account or use gmail. It's obviously a problem with the junk app if you have all the options set to where they would go. Also when you post try waiting up to a week until you bump it. People will still see your post.

I know this post is a million years old but I just could not help commenting on it. It is response to post like this that makes the internet such a crappy place to be.

If you are not part of the solution, you are part of the problem. Everyone has a opinion. Where is your fact to back it up?
In any case, to those that comes here looking for the answer to the OP question:
Hit the <Home> button if not already there.
Hit the <Menu> button.
Select <Setting>.
If you have muti-tab menus in Setting, select <Connections>
Scroll down to <Data usage>, if needed.
Hit the <Menu> button.
Click on <Auto sync data>, to check mark it as on.
Hit the <Home> button, again.
Select the email app and sync.
If that doesn't do it for you, its because the email app is crap
