Help on finding a blog name - Off-topic

Hey guys, so I've been thinking about making a website/blog (not really sure yet). I was wondering if you guys could come up with a name for a blog/site that's focused on photography, tech and design. It can't have anything with 'linx' in it because of the UltraLinx network. http://theultralinx.com/ any cool ideas? If you feel like flaming me for any reason, please don't comment. Thank you

None of these were checked to see if they were free.
The Photog Blog
Techstravaganza
NtellignetDesign

Those are pretty good names, I'll test them out and see if they're taken.

Can you do a video on I9003 samsung galaxy sl? Thanks man!!!!!
Hey GrilledCheze
Are you still on board?
I don't know who to contact about this, but I would LOVE if the developer of the NFL mobile app could be interviewed about paving the way for android custom UI. Back when the Droid I first came out this app was available and it featured a completely custom UI. Custom options menu, loading image, streaming video content as well as radio feeds. this app really did it all and was free for Verizon users. It still is free but has gone through many changes since its original inception. Please find a way to interview the original dev on this app because I think he deserves some kind of award.
Give us more details about him so we can make contact to see the option for the interview, thanks
Damn, I've been researching on google for a bit now and I can't figure out who the dev was. The app page just says verizon wireless.

Planning on Making an Android site

Hey guys,
Well I am planning on making a site for Android, and i need some help.
First thing I need help with finding a domain. For some reason most domains that I've tried are already taken.
So i need someone more creative than me.
The site will have news and reviews of android and android devices.
Thats all i've thought of right now.
The domain has to be a .com , and maybe have "android" somewhere in there .. ?
So help here
any help ?

Well. there is a reason for that ... and its that there is already a million stupid ass android review websites..
no offense intended ... but really ? why do you want to make this site? are you going to be footing the entire bill in terms of server space/ maintenance ?
While i do wish you luck in your endeavour.... Unless you have somthing really unique to offer , you website will become another speck on a already huge pile..
And you are already on one of the best resources for android reviews
just my thoughts on it ...
Good luck Yo!
I know, but it will hopefully offer something unique.
and remember this. When facebook started myspace had millions of members. If facebook founders had thought like you, then there would be no facebook. But hey facebook is now leading in social networking.
So XDA, I respect it a lot, and will always do, but if no one comes up with competition us (consumers, guests, viewers) won't get better content
Anyways, I am sure this wasn't the point of the thread here x.x

Help Make the Revo Better for Everybody! (And enjoy some of jamR's prose!)

I posted this in the JuiceDefender topic, but I wanted to post it as a separate topic as well so more people would see this. I know not everybody uses JuiceDefender, but hear me out on this, you all can and should play a role in this.
I just spent a good bit of (read: way too much) time writing up a report and sending in six separate logs pertaining to JuiceDefender's incompatibility with Revolution/Gingerbread. There was a previous report by some other guy on the LateDroid site, but it sucked, frankly. I didn't think any of the comments on it were that helpful either.
You can see / vote / comment on my new and better topic here: http://bit.ly/w42tou
I'd appreciate it if you guys visited the link and voted for/commented on the post. Even if you don't use JD, think of this as helping out those of us who do, and maybe you will start using it once it works! I think it'll help encourage the devs to actually do something, but I also don't want to feel like a moron for writing something that nobody reads. You don't have to actually read it, just voting on it is enough to save my ego. I even gave you guys a shout out at the end of it (and it really is way better than that other guy's).
Voting is probably sufficient enough, but it can't hurt to throw a comment on there to help raise the profile of the report if you want to. Additionally, if you're using the beta version of JD, open it up and send a log file to the devs when the problem occurs again.
I wasn't joking when I said I really love/depend on this app. Having a smartphone that can go without charging for 3 days is not something I want to give up.
EDIT: The Dev that's working on this mentioned this on the older report, along with several other things that never got answered by the original author or any of the individuals commenting. Anyone out there "enterprising" enough to take this on?

4) I wish some enterprising tinkerer with a Revolution could shed some light on the issue by testing out different radio firmwares (as I’m 99% sure the cause is the one that comes with the 2.3.4 OTA)

Bump is much appreciated, and make that 96 votes. =]
We're pretty close to the top of the issue list and an admin combined the old thread with this one. So they're at least aware of the issue. Woo!
BUT, it's still not fixed! So if you haven't voted yet make like a pair of Nikes and just do it. You can login with your Google account so it literally takes 30 seconds. Also, I'll make cookies for everyone who voted once the problem is solved.

As of right now, we're #1 in the "Hot Ideas" category and #2 in "Bugs". "MMS not sending/receiving" is #1 with 133 votes, so we're almost there. Not bad considering our issue appears to affect only the Revo.
We're also #16 in "Top" which includes every thread in every category (including official announcements/changelogs/etc). Most of the ones above ours literally have hundreds of votes, so I'll take #16.
BUT, we need to keep squawking lest we get shoved to the backburner! Keep in mind that every day you don't vote, God kills a baby panda. Just sayin'.
135! We've officially taken first place, but only by 2 points, so don't stop voting!
Also an Admin has added a nifty little "Under Review" tag to the post--so they're "officially" looking into it.
A recent commenter said he's having the same problem on his Thunderbolt, so if you know someone with a Thunderbolt, get them voting too hehe.
Voted. Not a JD user anymore because of this. Thanks for the solid writeup

I just reinstalled JuiceDefender Beta, and am now using it but with the "Control Data" feature turned off. This seems to allow me to use the other features without disabling my 3G/4G. You might not be able to turn off the data, but you can still control the frequency of Autosync, and that makes a pretty big difference by itself.
I can't for the life of me figure out why that's not included within Android. Not everyone needs by-the-second updates...5-10m synching frequency is fine with me, and saves a metric crapton of battery life--even without being able to control data.
Voted... thanks for your efforts.

We're at 167 votes now; runner-up in the Bugs section only has 90, so we're definitely the #1 issue at this point. We're also #1 in Hot and #10 in Top (not counting three official posts).
Update! Mark (the actual developer) asked a bunch of questions and requested some logs. It'd be great if everyone could hit up that link and take some time to send logs. The fact is that it won't get fixed if we don't help him out. Voting was easy, now it's time to actually contribute!

Damn, and one hell of a response it is.
That's a lot of data collecting haha.
yes! everyone send in logs, this is important! now we have the attention lets getter done

Tired of slow downloads?

As you may or may not know me, I've been here on XDA, learning news things, helping other users but that just isn't enough for me,
I've helped out other devs with their mods, given people FTP access to host their ROMS/files (onedroid.net & galaxytree.net), however it just enough for me to satisfy me.
So I've been in working to get an actual real file hosting site for all XDA members for all their downloading news.
Now now.. I know there is already goo.im & dev-host, both are extremely awesome, however the more the merrier right?
EDIT: Its up guys! http://androidbeam.me
Mods: Please move this to General! Thanks
Looks sharp and nice, just hoping if this works well for you it won't end up with ads.
